Has anyone else become more critical of others' eating on Mounjaro?

Iv been on MJ a while and Im still on it now maintaining. I haven't always been big, I gained weight as I had some health issues that are now sorted.

This will sound hypocritical but I find other people so greedy now, constantly talking about food even though they have just eaten or ordering massive portions when out.
Always trying to arrange to go out for food and every outing has to have food included.

Does anyone else feel like this?

Omg! wtf!?

Are you looking for a bun fight?

CharlotteRumpling · 09/04/2026 19:09

This really takes the biscuit.

Not at all... Its genuinely how I feel when I see someone going up for seconds or loading their plate

I used to feel like this when I had a raging eating disorder, be very careful OP.

wendywoopywoo222 · 09/04/2026 19:14

I don’t because I’m not smug about my weightloss and know it could all change and I could become that person again who eats too much.

DippyW · 09/04/2026 19:14

If you're lucky they might invent a jab for stopping being judgemental next - that'd be nice, wouldn't it?

OrdinaryGirl · 09/04/2026 19:17

I don’t really understand what you’re saying, OP?
You’ve lost weight on Mounjaro, and are still on it, to make you feel less like you want to eat, is that right? And now you see other people - presumably at least some of whom are not overweight - who are expressing pleasure and delight in food, and your reaction is to see them as…. greedy?

SilenceInside · 09/04/2026 19:17

I genuinely could not care less about what or how much anyone else eats, bar my children. I don’t care that social events involve food, I just don’t eat or eat very little and that’s fine.

I sometimes think that portions in restaurants are very large but I wouldn’t say that to anyone else.

I think the thought processes about greed are not healthy OP and you might want to reflect on where thats coming from and why.

PoppinjayPolly · 09/04/2026 19:18

@appn8 is it because you observed that before you had weight loss that you were judged by people judging you for being overweight and continuing to eat as you did and they called you greedy and wondered why you were eating as you did?

Waitingfordoggo · 09/04/2026 19:18

‘Every outing has to have food included’

Well yes, of course! Otherwise it’s not a proper outing 😂 I think about food a lot and it’s often the highlight of my day. (Am not overweight, never have been. Just a little food obsessed)

MrsMiagi · 09/04/2026 19:29

No i dont feel lile this. In fact i am envious of people with normal metabolic function who can eat alot and not pile on weight. No judgement from me!

Lucytheloose · 09/04/2026 19:34

No, because it really isn't my business what anyone else eats.

But you know you would be that greedy fatty if you weren’t jabbing yourself with a literal appetite suppressant every week right?! You are still that person, you’re just on medication that temporarily restricts your appetite

IwanttoWFH · 09/04/2026 19:39

I’m on Mounjaro and I like every outing to involve food …..!

I’m on it for maintenance purposes, having lost four stone. I go to the gym and I have a healthy appetite, as does everyone else I know who is using it for maintenance.

I guess it depends on what you mean by “greedy” or “massive portions”. Is your opinion now skewed by having a reduced appetite?

Zempy · 09/04/2026 19:40

Nope. I have been taking it for over a year and couldn’t care less what anyone else is eating.

wafflesmgee · 09/04/2026 19:40

its really interesting you feel that way. I’d explore it further eg did you used to use food as a reward so are now jealous so are negatively judging them to deal with the feelings? Did you have a lot of shame linked to food that you are now projecting onto others? Or are you genuinely seeing the world differently now you see food differently? Are you scared you could put the weight back on so trying to make all eating negative to avoid being tempted?

I say all this because so much of our issues around food are deeply ingrained and it’s really helpful to step back and analyse and acknowledge your feelings in order to move beyond them/live happily with them.

labamba007 · 09/04/2026 19:41

What about those who judge people on wli as being lazy, taking shortcuts, and having monjoro face or whatever?

Motnight · 09/04/2026 19:41

Dump the (presumably) fatties Op and find some skinner friends that you can be judgemental with. Problem solved.

I am definitely going to be going back for seconds and not worrying what people think of me. Those on MJ or otherwise.

Notmycircusnotmyotter · 09/04/2026 19:57

I think it's a bit rich to consider other people greedy when you're too greedy to lose weight without an appetite suppressant.

changedusername190 · 09/04/2026 20:00

I also notice other people talking about food and making arrangements to eat. I call it expectational eating as I’m expected to go out and eat huge portions.its not just the injections but I no longer fancy a huge carvery and I’m shocked how I used to eat. I had got into the habit of eating too fast and too much and feeling stuffed was normal for me.

Look how this thread is providing a lovely platform for people to express their prejudices and judgement about other people. Which is unsurprising given your opening post @appn8 I’m not sure what sort of thread you were expecting from it.
