@Theringcycle I’ve been on MJ since the end of November. I haven’t gone higher than 5mg. I’ve lost 4st 3.75lbs so far.

That’s amazing progress! Thank you so much for sharing.

canaritini · 06/03/2026 16:36

@Theringcycle I'm another one who has stayed on 5mg MJ. I have lost 5 stone 7 lbs in 13 months. Not fast but consistently.

Fffreeeeezing · 06/03/2026 17:06

I must have reached that stage where it's getting really obvious.
Yesterday I saw someone I think I last saw around Christmas/New Year and the first thing he said was OMG what happened, you're disappearing (Ha, as if at 17.5st....... unless of course I've lost 7.5st since last Saturday, I only weigh once a week 🤣)

And then today a girl I work with mentioned that she'd realised this week how amazing I'm looking and she didn't know whether to mention it to me or not as she knows some people don't like it when people comment on weight loss.

She was also telling me in a different conversation about the really great Zara I should visit on a shopping trip I'm going on soon- I find it so bizarre that she would think I could fit into Zara clothes!

Anyway, I am having one of those days where I am absolutely bloody freezing and can't warm up, it's making me grumpy 😡

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 06/03/2026 17:27

I've managed to warm up for once today, by doing a lot of housework.

I’m under my heated blanket!

I have an NSV! 📣

I did my measurements last week and my underbust has gone from 44” to 36”. I can wear a 36” band! so I’ve bought a Vinted bargain bra. And it’s lovely and im chuffed to bits.

The other thing is ridiculous. And I need to preface it by saying I don’t care about ridiculous beauty ‘standards’ and I absolutely hate the resurgence of the 90s super-skinny look. It’s damaging and awful. I was already older in the 90s so not affected by it as a young woman, but it is damaging and dreadful.

And yet. This morning I noticed I have a thigh-gap. I DON’T EVEN CARE ABOUT THIGH-GAP. Why am I pleased about this? It’s absurd. I hate that I am a bit pleased. Proud even.

AAAAARGH. Brains are twats.

Thank you! I would be delighted with consistent loss - I’ve realised that speed doesn’t matter to me because I don’t feel like I am depriving myself (unlike every other weight loss attempt which felt so effortful and ultimately disappointing).

Theringcycle · 06/03/2026 19:35

@TragicMuse as someone who came of age in the “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” area, I think it will take my brain a long while to unwind and re-coil all its currently-messy wiring around beauty standards.

PearlsTeapot · 06/03/2026 20:03

I'm currently on 4mg and it's not enough but I dare not go up by more than 2 clicks a week from my 7.5 pen.

I just ate an entire pack of biscuits after having a kebab for tea.

Sometimes I despair of myself. I miss suppression! I can eat whatever I like whenever I like again it seems.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 06/03/2026 20:28

I can eat whatever I like whenever I like again it seems

Aye, hen. So can I.

I just have to make sure I only have a few really boring biscuits in the house, in case of visitors. Otherwise I'd eat them.

I know that feeling VERY well.

This is lovely, I hope you have a really nice few days together. Thanks for the empathy about the eating and the biscuits.

I almost wish I was the type to feel ill after eating junk/takeouts etc but I can eat anything.

Weigh in day and another kilo lost (annoyingly another 0.1kg would have been a nice round total of 40kg!). Starting to feel the impact wearing off but really don't want to increase my dose due to costs (there is a big jump from 5mg to 7.5mg) so will see how I go for a bit longer. I'm still sticking to my calories easily, but starting to hear the food noise in the back of my head, if it gets louder I may struggle. I had been dropping my calories each week as my tdee dropped with my weight but I don't think I can go much lower without impacting on nutrition so I'll have to accept the losses slowing down soon

CW 100.8kg, 39.9kg lost in 34 weeks

Isntparentingbrilliant · 07/03/2026 09:19

Morning everyone.

this week I hit a 100lb weight loss.

I was really excited for this milestone, but tbh I’m still feeling a bit flat about it.

yes I can move about easier , I look better and feel better- but it’s highlighted how much I still have to lose really.

I started at 315lb /bmi51
now 215lb bmi 35

my next two targets will be to get under 200lb, then under bmi30

im currently using 15mg and the cost is really stressing me. No way am I stopping unless we are in dire straits, but I worry that isn’t too many months away.

Mum2Fergus · 07/03/2026 09:44

Wk54 weigh in this morning (wk22 on 7.5mgs) … a 3lb whoosh this week, but can’t convince myself it’s right, or wonky donkey scales again. I’m definitely experiencing food noise again, and quite a bit of eating just for the sake of it. So I don’t know if scales are lying…I think I’ll go back to daily weigh in for a couple of weeks and track it more actively.

SW (15 Feb 25): 19st 9lbs / BMI 44.4 (obese class 3)
CW: 13st 9lbs / BMI 30.8 (obese class 1)
GW: healthy BMI (between 18.5 and 24.9 (8.3st-11st) for my height) - 2st 9lbs to go to get to top of healthy range. Goal to reach that by my birthday in October.

I’ve lost 31% of my starting weight and averaging 1.6kbs loss per week over the 53 weeks.

Wks 1-4 (2.5mg): -17lbs
Wks 5-8 (2.5mg): -6lbs
Wks 9-12 (2.5mg): -11lbs

Wks 21-24 (5mg): -7lbs
Wks 25-28 (5mg): -7lbs
Wks 29-32 (5mg): -4lbs

Wks 49-52 (7.5mg): -2lbs

Wk54 (7.5mg): -3lbs

Total loss: 84lbs (6st)

MCR24 · 07/03/2026 09:46

I weighed this morning whilst I was half asleep I thought I'd lost 3kg overnight but then remembered how numbers worked 😂

@Isntparentingbrilliant You've done really well, I think because we have all had so much to lose it can feel like a slog at times. I'm a data person so have had apps and my own spreadsheet which I update once a week. I found that having different targets on there was helpful as usually I'd have met something or become closer to one of them even if it wasn't the main target.

user593 · 07/03/2026 10:06

I did my weigh in on Friday and I’ve lost a little over 4lbs this week. Total is now 4st 3.75lbs down since the end of November, which I’m really pleased with, but I’ve got a long way to go!

So very close to under 100kg now! I’m a numbers geek and love those sort of milestones. You’re doing so consistently well!

I'm a numbers geek too! And like @MCR24 I like having lots of little numbers-based targets to keep me motivated - usually mixed between kg and lbs to give more options!

PearlsTeapot · 07/03/2026 11:47

My next target is to get under 100lbs lost. Just a few pesky pounds to go (which won’t happen if I keep eating whole packets of biscuits, or the school cake I’m currently eating a slice of).

Fffreeeeezing · 07/03/2026 12:06

Woo! I had a 5lb whoosh!

At week 51 that takes me to exactly 8st 7lb lost. It also means I'm now 39.9bmi so in the 30's! I started at 59bmi.

I'm aiming for 3lb next week (my Monjiversary) to get me into the 16 stones bracket but probably a bit ambitious after this weeks whoosh!
54kg gone forever

Mine too. I'm just a few lbs away, and am hoping to get there in the next 4 weeks, in time for my 1yr anniversary.

@Isntparentingbrilliant I'm similar to you, started at 316lb, now 221lb. It's so easy to get fixated on how much we have left to lose, but 100lb is over 7st. One hell of an achievement, a massive well done to you x

Ive just had the most beautiful message from a friend of a friend. She drove past us while we were walking the dogs this morning, and she said I looked like a completely different person and she only recognised me because of my DH and the pooches. And I should be proud of myself because I'd obviously worked hard, and am looking fantastic. It was so sweet of her, and it's proper brightened my day.

Well done on your milestone. I have half a pound to go to get to 100lb frustrating! Have you thought about switching to wegovy? I am next month
