I’m not having a tummy tuck at this point. I’m just having my boobs done. As I haven’t had children whilst I have loose skin and could do, my boobs are the priority. I’m also conscious I could get into and this. And then this!

A woman at the gym stopped me this morning and said you look so strong! I consider that a result. Not slim. Not skinny. Strong. (I am kinda ripped now tbh 🤣🤣)

KrankyKumquat · 21/10/2025 13:05

@FlappyFish
That's great feedback from someone at the gym - I can only dream. But I'm excited that, for the first time, on my Renpho scales my fat %has dropped and my muscle % gone up while my weight hasn't changed. Something is finally happening!

Smallsalt · 21/10/2025 08:35

@Scalessayeek I am going to send pics today! I hope your surgery goes well. Do let us know how it goes , not many on the thread have gone down this route yet.
My worst skin bit is actually below my arm pits, at my lats. Huge amount of bits escaping over my bra strap. Not even sure what that surgery would be called .!

Unfortunately it’s not for another eleven months as I wanted to wait until youngest is in school. I will update when I do though.

ThirdStorm · 24/10/2025 19:54

I’ve finally started the process to move from MedExpress to Ouskh now my BMI is 22. I admitted I have 3 unused pens so Ouskh suggested I do the flexi plan at £15pm and when I want to start ordering they can switch me to another plan. I have to do the weight verification call which will involve me standing on the scales so they can see my weight. Luckily I had something on my NHS app confirming height as they suggested I could stand against a wall and use a tape measure to prove my weight which sounds like a faff!

FlappyFish · 31/10/2025 16:41

Hello fellow old timers.

well, a year after I first posted about boobs I am doing it. Surgery scheduled for the 19th November. The hardest part will be no gym.

The idea of saying that two years ago is hilarious.

NextPrimeMinister · 01/11/2025 15:29

That's exciting Flappy.

Whst is the recovery time? How are you feeling about it?

FlappyFish · 01/11/2025 15:38

I won’t be able to go the gym for a month. 😱 The first week will be the hardest. I’ve spent so long establishing routines and building up. The sudden stop is going to be a challenge.

It won’t just be the physical side for me, but the mental one. Exercising has improved my mental health so much.

Luckily I don’t need an uplift, so the recovery will be quicker. No nipples need to be moved. 😅

I will keep you all posted. I imagine plastic surgeons are going to be very busy for those want to take that route.

As a side note, my surgeon said that in his mind MJ is as much progress and as valuable as penicillin. He’s been practicing for a long time. (He’s lovely and whilst is looking at me with a surgeon’s eye, he was so much nicer than the first chap I met).

Fantastic news! I’m researching abdominoplasty at the moment. I can’t book anything for about 18 months due to some other commitments which won’t allow down time so no rush.
just working on my face at the moment…

Moanranger · 02/11/2025 23:28

@FlappyFish - a month away from gym seems a long time, but if you have a good established regime, you will get back into it and really won’t have lost much ground. I had my shoulder replaced in April & had to take a month off. I got in good shape beforehand & gained lost fitness really quickly.
I am currently titrating down from 7.5, very slowly by dropping 5 clicks a week. I wanted to reduce side effects.
Has anyone developed an over-active bladder from MJ? I started to get this mid-Sept, got a cystitis prescription from medic (made little difference) and started taking cranberry extract. Now bladder symptoms are reducing, but I am wondering if it was MJ that caused it? Thoughts welcome…

KeepUndercover · 06/11/2025 09:21

Looking forward to hearing how it goes @FlappyFish, not long to wait now. The month will go by quickly and you'll be back in the gym before you know it.

I'm still plodding along in maintenance. Weight is stable but my diet isn't the best and I feel more bloated. Dug the soup maker out for better lunches, need to put a bit more balance back in the diet I think. Maintenance clearly not just about the weight on the scales!

GrimDamnFanjo · 09/11/2025 10:30

I’ve got a 5 and a 2.5 left now after the pre price rise panic buy. I’m considering staying on 5. I have a bmi of 26 and my weights been stable for 6 months but I feel I need to knuckle down and concentrate on getting to goal. Anyone else stuck in the last bit?

DesparatePragmatist · 12/11/2025 23:41

Hello to the class of April '24!

Just been catching up on the last few weeks. Good luck with the op, Flappy!

I'm in the maintenance doldrums. The prices rises plus the apathy side effect mean I need to get to the lowest effective dose for me... I was maintaining weight well on 3mg, but demotivated to the point of affecting my work. I've got down to 1mg and felt my oomph returning, which is so welcome - but so is my appetite. I swore I would never see 60kg on the scales again, but have been seeing it regularly now since Oct.

I really wonder how long the pill alternative will take to arrive, if we'll be able to shift onto it, and if it'll allow for maintenance without side effects...

OP posts:
Moanranger · 13/11/2025 18:55

@DesparatePragmatist I am with you on this. I went up to 7.5 for 2 months to try to get to 63.5 but only managed 64.5, and I didn’t enjoy the side effects or general malaise. I am now using 7.5 pens to titrate down to 5mg. This is my second week back on 5 & am definitely feeling more hunger. If this persists I may increase the dose next week. Once at goal it is hard to be motivated, but I really don’t want any noticeable increase, so I need to be careful.
I will use up my cheaper pens around the end of Dec & will then be faced with buying more at the higher prices, hence the desire to maintain. I do look forward to oral meds, but may be waiting awhile.

Femeia · 13/11/2025 20:03

Hi all! I’m also in a fix with lower dose pens. I’d been anticipating going down the doses and I ordered a 5 and a 7.5 in the price panic. I have gone down from 15 to 12.5, where I did definitely feel hungry. Now on 10 and will use up the lower dose pens before going back up (I assume - I have newer pens in higher doses). I’m hoping I could maybe stretch the higher dose pens but it really depends on the hunger. Weight wise I’m at target but am seeing the odd pound or two creep on, which I then need to concentrate hard to get rid of. Feeling like this is going to be an ongoing expense I’m just going to have to tolerate unfortunately

KeepUndercover · 19/11/2025 10:43

I had a maintenance call with SwiftDoctor, just to confirm what I'm doing and make sure what I thought I could do was right. Recommendation was to reduce the doses, which I've been doing anyway and I could choose to continue on a low dose or if I want to come off completely they will let you reorder for 12 months after your last dose. So that's all good, means I can experiment with coming off but have the option to go on. If you have a big break you do have to start again at 2.5mg of course.

It's not required to do the maintenance call to be on maintenance with them, but I just wanted to sort out my questions easily.

I have actually gone up a dose this week after trying 5mg. I put on a bit of weight on holiday and shifting it is being a bastard so I wanted a bit of an extra push to try and get it off.

FlappyFish · 20/11/2025 10:48

Maintenance is tough. The hardest part I think and I’ve been in it longer than actually losing now. You can want to eat a more varied diet.

during loss it is easier to have the salad. We can “reeducate” ourselves all we like. But to cut everything and focus on protein is reordering everything. As humans we want variety!!

oh yes. And my update.

I have breasts again! Surgery was yesterday. I hurt. A lot. I can’t share photos for obvious reasons but in a few days when less swollen I may reopen the FB we created.

one thing to also add. Whilst I type from my hospital room. Your eyes will continue to play tricks on you. I got too thin. It’s only seeing it in the harsh hospital light not a posed selfie you see my ribs….I really couldn’t see it though.

love to you all, the original MJ’ers from close to two years ago now. Bloody hell 🤣

KeepUndercover · 21/11/2025 12:02

Exciting news @FlappyFish, how are you feeling now?

NextPrimeMinister · 21/11/2025 17:50

Wow @FlappyFish good for you!

My boobs are like a pair of spaniels ears, but am not brave enough to go under the knife.

MountKilimounjaro · 21/11/2025 19:21

Congratulations on the new boobs @FlappyFish

@NextPrimeMinistersame here! Balcony bras are the only way I can make them look half decent. I am very much enjoying the fact I can buy £10 M&S bras though. That would have been impossible in the past, I needed expensive scaffolding.

FlappyFish · 22/11/2025 08:04

I feel OK. Sitting and doing nothing is the hardest part as I’m so active normally. Lots of odd twinges.

I am glad I had it done. It was making me utterly miserable. I had nothing to put into a bra to make a cleavage. It was two empty sacks of skin as I had lost all breast tissue.

Moanranger · 22/11/2025 11:37

Interesting how weight loss works. I have more boobage than the last time I was this weight (about 10 years ago) Previously I went down to a B-C cup, now I’m a D. I think I lost more from legs generally whilst on MJ.

YouAreEffluentKim · 24/11/2025 19:13

Hey @FlappyFish, hope you’re well and truly in a more comfortable place now, and for recognising you might have gone a bit too far with weight loss. That’s important I think, and I too probably need to take a selfie in the cold harsh lighting of a hospital room!

I’m nearly at the point where I need to reorder following the 3 pens I purchased back in September. Just wondered for anyone with Oushk whether they’re doing any Black Friday deals? Despite signing up, I never get any of their emails.

Hope all is well with everyone, and the lack of traffic on this thread is simply because we’re all just too busy getting on with our lives and MJ has just become a faint background noise in our brains rather than a significant focus of attention

MoreThanJustANumber · 24/11/2025 20:49

@YouAreEffluentKim not sure if this will work. Ends tonight! https://community.oushkpharmacy.com/c/emails-newsletters/pink-friday-is-here

Moanranger · 26/11/2025 12:52

Hi, like Kim above, I will need to re-order MJ in January. I am currently with Oushk. However, I am finding their system utterly confusing. They want me to sign up with one of three plans, with completely different costs. Very odd. Anyone with Oushk who can advise? I am also open to exploring another supplier. I think Oushk are making a hash of it.

ThirdStorm · 26/11/2025 14:23

@Moanranger im now with ouskh on flexi as I don’t need to order for a bit. They said I’d just switch plans when I was ready to order again. I assume I’d need to email them when I’m ready, then place an order?! I’ve done the weight verification.
