I can’t remember who asked on the old thread, but the pendemic remains my current reading hobby.

And building muscles. And Vinted. Oh dear.

It is interesting how with most medication we all follow the instructions. Probably because it’s given by a GP and for a condition. The moment we pay ourselves, everyone is experimenting, stretching pens, etc as we are seeing true cost of a drug.

PillarPost · 22/08/2025 10:18

@Blondeshavemorefun I will be spreading the time period of use once I’m maintaining for sure.

PillarPost · 22/08/2025 10:21

@FlappyFish It was me who asked, though I’ve name changed. I don’t always follow GP instructions myself! Most medications are started at too higher dose for me and I need less. Sadly, with Mounjaro, it’s been the opposite – I need high doses for impact. Life would’ve been easier - and cheaper - at 2.5 mg forever!!

gimmemounjaro · 22/08/2025 10:35

Just a thought for @Sasssquatchand @RainbowZebraWarrior- I think you are struggling to find 15mg but if you are able to get hold of a 12.5mg pen you should be able to get 4x 15mg doses out of it 👍

Do you know I've literally just thought of that myself, so I'm going to see if Medexpress will let me (not holding my breath as the re-orded button is greyed out now, but if not, I'll try elsewhere)

Thanks 😊

Medicine market place have finally confirmed my order and said it should be dispatched within 24hrs but we shall see with it now being the weekend again and bank holiday. Hoping it doesn’t sit with Royal Mail for 2-3 days!

ThatCyanSheep · 22/08/2025 10:45

@RainbowZebraWarriorOushk have limited stock of 12.5mg x

ReluctantCustomer · 22/08/2025 10:46

Yeah, the pharmacies are all waiting to see who blinks first.

MissMogs · 22/08/2025 10:07

My order was also confirmed with Lotus on Monday but still no shipping details. Frustrating when others have had emails even overnight! I just want it confirmed so I can stop toying with the idea of ordering elsewhere “just in case”

I'm in the same position - confirmed Monday, but nothing since 🤞

Same. Nothing till 10 and went to 15 no issues at all

Three minutes after I finally emailed Farmeci to ask for an update on my order after a week of silence, I got an approval email... Didn't that happen to someone else? I'm beginning to suspect that their Customer Support is one guy in an office approving orders triggered by customer complaints 🤨

Pendenic! And Pendemonium! Love it! Just received my 2nd Oushk pen for August. Also have two from Health Express. I’ve found this website so much easier to use than monj:
https://weightlossuk.co.uk/price/
I won’t order any more pens now, but will wait to see which pharmacy has prices I can live with and offers maintenance long term. Thanks for the good suggestion up thread to photo all four boxes and mark the date started on them for evidence in case we have to move suppliers.
I’m about 10 lbs away from target. Planning to stay on MJ for maintenance as don’t want to risk moving to Wegovy in case it doesn’t agree with me.

Re how much the pharmacies make this info on the Bolt website is insightful. The price they charge covers the cost of the drug, their operations, packing and shipping it plus £29 profit per pen for the pharmacy.

That doesn’t sound like much but if you sell 100 pens every weekday for a whole year that’s £725k profit in a year. Some of these pharmacies seem like quite small businesses so that’s fortune in new profit for them.

A few pharmacies have grown on WLIs. They have invested in websites, customer service and employing more staff. WLIs have been a lifesaver to some pharmacies who have been struggling.

And I guess suppliers such as UKMedi have also benefited from selling more needles and syringes.

I wonder if there is a bit of a standoff going on with pricing. Are they all waiting for each other to release so that they can compare prices and figure out who is cheapest etc.

I think we’ll see quite a bit of movement with pricing in the coming weeks as some will have put a bigger mark up on than others and may need to reduce to be competitive with the market.

Its Interesting to watch because we’ve never really seen this here in the UK for medicine.

I read something somewhere saying Oushk, and other pharmacies, are under a NDA with Eli Lilly and "rebate" scheme where they can claim rebates for savings they have passed onto customers. So perhaps they cannot finalise prices until that is all agreed.....

Hira from Oushk was on a live last night and said they're holding off on releasing their prices right now as they're still in negotiations and they don't want to jump the gun in case they end up getting a better deal. Which makes sense to me - they'll just end up getting ripped apart if they announce one price just to change it again a week later.

She's said we should hear something mid-late next week.

StrikeForever · 22/08/2025 11:32

My supplier has been Med Express - since I started in April. My husband has also been with them since he started in June. We placed orders on the day of the announcement of Elly Lily’s price increases. They were dispatched as quickly as always. A few days later we received an email saying we could order another pen without waiting for the usual timeframe. We did that two days ago and they’re being processed. We have never chased the discounts from other companies because we have always found ME to be great at keeping us informed via emails and quick to dispatch.

Yes it was on circle. Someone asked if they’d be joining the rebate scheme and someone else said that this had been mentioned on the live and they can’t mention it because they’re under an NDA

AKA, yes they will be joining, all pharmacies will be and they can’t talk about it because of the fact that that would then impact with Trump

ah, didn't see there was a live last night, assume it was on facebook which looks like it has been suspended again, as doesn't show on the circle events?

Was there any other information shared?

I just saw this on the Daily Mail site and it made me laugh and think of us on this thread. Of course, they have a lovely way with their headlines.

I feel I’m late in dealing with this 😩 I ordered my last regular pen from cloud on 7th August and have been trying to order one 7.5mg and it keeps says I’ve exceeded the limit! They say they’re only dealing with regular customers but I am a regular! Does anyone know if they’re set a limit on how often you can reorder? I’ve emailed but not expecting a reply.
I might try elsewhere now. When this all kicked off, I had just received a pen so was less worried and thought the pricing would sort itself out but I’m worrying now!

SwiftDoctor have been very good at keeping in touch although, as a smaller supplier, they have struggled for stock. Their latest post to their FB group is:

"We want to provide you with a transparent update regarding the delay in dispatching Mounjaro orders placed since last Thursday.
Following Eli Lilly’s announcement of a price increase on Mounjaro, pharmacies across the country placed large, urgent orders to secure stock at the current lower price. While we acted swiftly and successfully secured stock - which we paid for in full - our suppliers have been overwhelmed and unable to fulfil deliveries due to unprecedented demand.
We typically receive deliveries twice daily. However, due to the sheer volume of orders and limited refrigerated space in delivery vans, our suppliers have not been able to get stock to us since Thursday. One supplier has informed us they are running approximately a week behind. We are actively chasing updates every day, and like many of you, we are frustrated by these circumstances that are unfortunately beyond our control.
We understand some patients are upset and believe we should not have opened orders until stock was physically in our fridges. Please understand: we only opened ordering after securing the stock to ensure our patients could benefit from the lower price before the hike. Had we waited for physical delivery, many of you would have missed the opportunity to purchase at the previous price.
As always, once your medication is dispatched, it will be sent via next day delivery. Please note that our terms have always stated next day delivery once dispatched — not same-day or next-day dispatch.
We remain hopeful that part of our secured stock will arrive before the end of this week. We will dispatch your medication immediately once it is in our possession.
In the meantime, we’d like to hear from you:
Would you prefer we only open orders after stock is physically delivered, even if that means you might miss out on securing medication before a price increase? Or do you prefer the current system, where orders are opened once stock is secured, though delivery may be delayed?
(We may be able to secure some more this weekend and can potentially open orders)
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding."

I'm hoping their prices stay competitive enough for me to stay with them as they really have been excellent. They have replied to a question in the group today and said they are not planning to accept any new customers until things settle as they want to complete outstanding orders and look after existing customers first.

Lovecycling · 22/08/2025 13:25

I’ve just heard back from Cloud. They sent a guide that says you cannot reorder within 21 days of previous orders and max is 1 pen. Tough luck if they’re then out of stock. I may try and get a pen elsewhere as a back up.

WeAllHaveWings · 22/08/2025 13:28

@QueenOfHiraeth seems similar comms from other providers, but interesting they normally get deliveries twice a day. I understood providers had to deal with and carefully planning regular deliveries due to their own fridge capacity (along with careful planning of deliveries of pre frozen ice packs) but didn't think they were that regular!

It is impossible just now for any provider to manage this mess effectively when they are constantly firefighting changes to deliveries and a massive surge in orders, they can only do their best, and there will be some customers let down.
