SwiftDoctor have been very good at keeping in touch although, as a smaller supplier, they have struggled for stock. Their latest post to their FB group is:
"We want to provide you with a transparent update regarding the delay in dispatching Mounjaro orders placed since last Thursday.
Following Eli Lilly’s announcement of a price increase on Mounjaro, pharmacies across the country placed large, urgent orders to secure stock at the current lower price. While we acted swiftly and successfully secured stock - which we paid for in full - our suppliers have been overwhelmed and unable to fulfil deliveries due to unprecedented demand.
We typically receive deliveries twice daily. However, due to the sheer volume of orders and limited refrigerated space in delivery vans, our suppliers have not been able to get stock to us since Thursday. One supplier has informed us they are running approximately a week behind. We are actively chasing updates every day, and like many of you, we are frustrated by these circumstances that are unfortunately beyond our control.
We understand some patients are upset and believe we should not have opened orders until stock was physically in our fridges. Please understand: we only opened ordering after securing the stock to ensure our patients could benefit from the lower price before the hike. Had we waited for physical delivery, many of you would have missed the opportunity to purchase at the previous price.
As always, once your medication is dispatched, it will be sent via next day delivery. Please note that our terms have always stated next day delivery once dispatched — not same-day or next-day dispatch.
We remain hopeful that part of our secured stock will arrive before the end of this week. We will dispatch your medication immediately once it is in our possession.
In the meantime, we’d like to hear from you:
Would you prefer we only open orders after stock is physically delivered, even if that means you might miss out on securing medication before a price increase? Or do you prefer the current system, where orders are opened once stock is secured, though delivery may be delayed?
(We may be able to secure some more this weekend and can potentially open orders)
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding."
I'm hoping their prices stay competitive enough for me to stay with them as they really have been excellent. They have replied to a question in the group today and said they are not planning to accept any new customers until things settle as they want to complete outstanding orders and look after existing customers first.
