Welcome to thread 9 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we head towards Easter Egg season, celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and admire our new Summer Wardrobes ❤️

I’m on W21 D1 and on my first 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 11st 0.8lbs
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 38.2lbs

Recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for side effects, exercise tips, tips for titrating up or down and we love a beauty/ style chat too 🥰

That's the digging done. Three new shrubs planted (an azalea, a camelia and a pieris), plus strawberries (I hope we don't get any late frost now), and I weeded a very large section of cottage garden that had been taken over by ground elder. Horrible stuff. Now off to take a bath, and then we're going out for dinner - to one of the fancy Pig Hotels. I may even have a cocktail (the alcohol free kind since I'm boring).

It's almost the weekend, people in my phone!

Sounds heavenly! Have a fab evening. Herbal tea for me tonight (it is fake tanning night) 😂

Start on 15mg next week then after 4 weeks I'm gona take 2.5 for 4 weeks oh what have I done

Cantbesure · 04/04/2025 19:24

Ha @MounjaropenI couldn’t watch it all as I find her a bit irritating. And definitely can’t believe she lost all the weight BEFORE starting MJ… but I did think it was interesting to hear of the improvements in her bloods and also to hear a positive spin on MJ. Just a shame she didn’t feel she could admit that it helped with her weight loss.

Just back in from a night out with friends I haven’t seen for ages. Can I just say, it is amazing how much more confidence I have in a group when I don’t have to worry about looking fat? There were about 8 of us tonight, and 3 I know really well but the others a lot less well, and I’m usually a bit nervous. (They’re all lovely, this is totally a me problem). Tonight I chatted happily with all of them and didn’t stress about how I was looking at all! This is a massive revelation to me. I felt really free to just chat and I didn’t feel awkward or inadequate at all. Score another point for Mounjaro.

Into the 20s! 20 stone 13.9 💪

Congratulations. 👏👏👏

Della82 · 05/04/2025 07:26

Very excited I’ve just stepped on the scales and am 0.5kg lighter meaning I’m 3stone down!
Love the expensive death jabs!
Next milestone will be in 0.5kg when I will have lost 20kg and very shortly after that I’ll be in the 10stone bracket
Will probably put it back on by tomorrow or be on a plateau for the rest of April 😂

Mounjaropen · 05/04/2025 09:06

10st 11.8lbs today meaning I am 0.l8lb off my 3 stone badge and 1lb lighter than yesterday so 2lb off for the week 🥳

Have a boozy overnight stay with friends tonight so back to the grindstone on Monday! On the upside, I have an event where DH’s ex-wife will be and I am significantly thinner than I was last time we met..silly I know, they split absolute decades ago but I am digging out my clingy clothes as we speak 😂

Have a great weekend everyone!

Did you mean 12.5g? 2.5g down from 15g is quite dramatic?

Incredible result! Well done!

Top tip for HRT - if progesterone is part of your prescription, take it in the evening as it promotes sleep. Tbf, most of the hormones should be taken in the PM to lessen any side effects. A lot of friends who didn’t get on with it’ were actually taking progesterone in the morning and then felt lethargic during the day…

Good luck with it. Life changing for me - especially after Testosterone was added in.

Tip gratefully received! I already take the mini pill in the evening so I'll tweak my reminder app.

End of week w21. Two meals out and an accidental Easter egg snaffle.

SW: 14st
CW: 11st 1
GW: 10st ish

1 lb off this week. NSV - am trying to sort out clothes and just tried my (very!) old size 10 jeans and I could do them up!! They do sit below the belly though which is still pretty massive!

Love the description upthread of the friends in my phone that I can share my achievements and bowel movements with!

Would love to make it to 3 stone off for next week.

Cantbesure · 05/04/2025 11:40

Ending the week half a pound up after my stomach bug loss. So 1.5lbs away from my initial target. Current plan is to take the next pen so that’s 6 more weeks, and assess where I’m at. I also have my maintenance call with Oushk in 3 weeks.

@Mounjaropenenjoy your boozy weekend with friends. And enjoy being your new svelte self in front of the ex.

@murraymcgill that’s an interesting decision to drop to the lowest dose. What prompted that? Is it related to your surgery?

SerenePeer · 05/04/2025 11:49

Morning fellow death jabbers.

That's all my size 14 and size 16 jeans listed on Vinted 😳 Had a minor wobble when DH asked if I was going to keep a pair "just in case".... but i gave him a Paddington style hard stare and he quickly backed down and agreed that was a ridiculous thing to suggest 😆

@Mounjaropen I know what you mean re Caroline Hirons. I love her kit bags and do rate her gel cleanser, but I can't bring myself to pay for her mega expensive cleanser when Beauty Pie do a gorgeous solid cleanser for a fraction of the price. I'm not keen on some of her podcast guests either. Despite liking the Willpowder collagen, Davinia Taylor is verging on dangerous with some of her 'biohacking' and 'health advice'.

@random223 yay for size 10s!!!! 🥳

Cantbesure · 05/04/2025 13:45

@SerenePeeryay for size 10 jeans you skinny Minnie. Loving the Paddington stare. Davinia seems to have lost the plot. There’s a lot of love for her willpowders (no good for veggies like me) but I think her party girl days have had some lasting impact!

I’m bemused by Davina Taylor tbh. I can’t be doing with adding powders to this, that and the other. Fair play to her dropping weight by sheer effort and she isn’t anti WLI but yes, some of her ‘advice’ is just clear bat shittery 😂 I also don’t like someone who promotes their collagen by throwing shade at other versions because she doesn’t flog them (yet)

Woo hoo for getting rid of all the old jeans!👏👏👏

It is the ranting about non-skincare stuff that I object to about CH. She isn’t the all seeing eye on every topic known to man... She does remind me an awful lot of my mother in this respect who of course was an expert on absolutely everything 🙄

I’ve only got the Skin Rocks (stupid name, no idea why she didn’t make it eponymous) cleanser from either a kit or my Liberty beauty advent calendar. It’s ok but not the best all and end all iIMO If I was going to spend that sort of money I’d buy the Elemis cleaners and enjoy the glorious scent and superior make up removal power…

urgh, tried to order the next pen and they want photos again. I’ll do it but the faff annoys me. I hate faff. I also have an element of design experience through my job and know I could easily lie and photo shop any photo. I think one more pen will get me where I want to be then I need to maintain without the monthly cost.

10st 4 today 🎉
