Yes I for some reason decided 19.6 bmi was a good goal. Mostly because that gets me 1 stone lower than I’ve ever been in my adult life. And gives me some leeway if I get any weight gain for example on holiday or at Xmas etc. I’m 7.8lb away at the moment at bmi 20.7. I’ve been going up and down the same 1lb for about three weeks now. I need to knuckle down and get there. I do still have stomach fat so definitely some fat still to shift there. I’m 5 ft 9 and think I’m a size 12 although I’ve not been shopping recently to try much on. I’m in a size 12 jeans in mango and 12 shorts at next.

ThirdStorm · 28/07/2025 20:22

I thought my goal would be BMI 25 but I’ve since settled at 22. Lowest I’ve been since early 20s but it’s perfect for me. I feel so good. I’ve replaced so many clothes, I don’t want to lose anymore weight as I don’t want to replace anymore clothes!

KeepUndercover · 29/07/2025 08:30

I could still lose weight, I'm just bored! And worried that I'll end up with no boobs at all but still have stubbornly chunky thighs. I've ended up on a BMI of 22 which I'm happy with. I guess I might go a bit lower while I'm figuring out maintenance, but I'd also be fine with being a bit heavier.

Another motivation to stop now I think is I don't want to be one of those people always chasing that last half stone. I know too many people in what I consider great shape who are always chasing that last half stone and it just seems miserable. Where I am feels healthy and manageable and I'll live with any remaining flaws.

Moanranger · 30/07/2025 22:49

I am just below my original goal of 66kg, which is a BMI just over 25. (I am 5ft 3in & have a stocky peasant’s body😱) I have been as low as 63.3 and I would like to settle at 63.5,( around 10 st & no change), just below BMI 25. I don’t want to go lower as I would then look haggard, which I have so far avoided. Chasing this lower goal has been difficult, but on the other hand I rarely go over 66kg. Size 12, but rarely shop, mining my wardrobe mostly.

Latest ordering nightmare - proving your height! I am with Oushk on maintenance and re-ordered today. They want photo proof, but will also take proof from NHS app. I tried to photograph my height by ingeniously taping a tape measure to the wall & standing against it, but resolution /focus not v good & difficult to see the numbers on tape.
It so happens that my gp surgery verified my height (among other things) in a visit in July 2024. There is a note in my app to this effect. However, there is no way to extract this info directly, so I ended up photographing the note & WhatsApping it to Oushk. As it is embedded in the app, the note is a bit cryptic, the note itself doesn’t actually have my name on it. We shall see if it is acceptable. NHS app needs a share function.
The above took me around 45 min - what fresh hell is next😱

Wonkypictureframe · 31/07/2025 16:05

Heh. I had the same thing but luckily had just had a medication review in which I’d had to give my height and weight, and the info was printed helpfully at the top of an NHS headed letter I took a photo of. Otherwise I’d have been a bit lost.

imnottoofussed · 31/07/2025 16:57

I noticed oushk sell a tape measure sticker but didn’t fancy sticking that to my walls

ThirdStorm · 31/07/2025 17:07

@Moanranger I actually got my height wrong initially so had to take a screen shot of the info on the NHS app to send to MedExpress to allow me to change it!

Wrong height occurred because a nurse told me something which I challenged but accepted, went to another appointment and I'd "shrunk" back down to what I've always been so think it was just an error. It was that error that I used to place my first order!

KrankyKumquat · 31/07/2025 17:34

@Moanranger
Have you tried taking a screenshot of the relevant bit of your NHS app? Then upload it to the evidence bit of Your Health Profile on the new Oushk webpage, rather than WhatsApping it, and add in anything else you think is relevant - it'll already contain all your previous photos. For height, I just sellotaped a tape measure to a door and the height was verified during the verification video - dead easy, it clearly didn't have to be 100% accurate for them to be satisfied, just close enough.

Good idea @KrankyKumquat - one of the complications of today’s efforts was photos weren’t emailing from my phone for some reason. If I can get that sorted, I will attach the note as a screenshot to my profile.
Oushk did respond to my WhatsApp, so hopefully they will accept it as evidence. Will update.

YouAreEffluentKim · 01/08/2025 09:12

I’ve just had to have a cervical smear done and I asked the nurse if she wouldn’t mind measuring me and adding my height to my online NHS record. It’s embedded in a lot of other <coding> random numbers etc so probably like yours, @Moanranger. Hopefully they’ll take that as like yours, it’s not helpfully next to my name in my record or anything but if they see a few of these random screenshots from people hopefully they’ll accept them as legit.

The bad news is I’m 1cm shorter than I thought I was which at my height (5’0 now) is a damning blow!

Otherwise, still trucking along. I’ve gone down to 5mg now from 10mg at my highest. Maintaining at around 52-54kg which is where I want to be. Still not exercising so I’ve really got to get a handle on that…

KrankyKumquat · 01/08/2025 10:05

I think I've finally found my happy dose for maintenance - 2mg. I've really struggled with losing futher weight and, at my lightest, got down to 9st1lb, bmi 19.6. I'm now back up to 9st7lb which is at the lower end of where I want to be but better than it was. Now i feel like I can eat 2 decent sized meals and lots of fruit in between for the first time and I feel much better in myself as a result.

My plan is to do 6 jabs with each pen which will help with the finances. I've also contacted oushk to see if they'd agree to me ordering 3 pens at a time (and 2 weeks off between pens to account for the 6 doses🤫) - for no reason other than wanting to reduce the constant background niggle of organising monthly deliveries. I haven't had a maintenance consult since November so not sure if they'll agree via email but I'll report back if anyone's interested in their response.

YouAreEffluentKim · 01/08/2025 11:26

Please report back, @KrankyKumquat as I wouldn’t mind bulk ordering too. I’m going to see how I go on 5mg for a few months. I’m noticing more food noise as I’ve come down the doses though, and my period is not as regular as it had been on the higher doses too. Also getting puffy fingers again. I wish there was a way to keep all the non-weight related positive effects of this drug as I don’t want to have to increase dose and then feel like I have to over eat to keep weight up.

Moanranger · 01/08/2025 12:43

Update - they seem to have accepted my NHS note on height, and have approved my order. Hopefully, I won’t have to repeat that next order.

YouAreEffluentKim · 01/08/2025 20:19

Brilliant news @Moanranger, thanks for confirming. My next dose is number 3 so will order next week and hopefully they’re equally as happy.

Buffypaws · 01/08/2025 21:09

YOU ARE EFFLUENT KIM 😂😂😂

Wonkypictureframe · 02/08/2025 10:00

I gave blood yesterday and realised I had no idea if it would be OK on Mounjaro. The nurse was called over and then we had a long chat… about how it was working for me because she’s on 10mg and not sure how she’ll maintain! No issues with donating at all

Notsuchafattynow · 04/08/2025 19:17

I had my first weight verification call with Ousk today. It was literally 5 mins. I showed my driving licence, then jumped on the scales and showed my weight and then the lady confirmed she'd take my height from the upload from my nhs app, that I had added to my Ousk account.

Very simple and straightforward.

KrankyKumquat · 06/08/2025 14:44

@YouAreEffluentKim and anyone else interested in bulk buying on maintenance.
I emailed Oushk, who I've been with about a year and on maintenance since November, if I could order 3 pens at a time and have 2 weeks off between pens. They responded 'yes' but I wasn't entirely confident as I haven't had a maintenance consult for 9 months.
So I did the order and repeated my plan on the consult form. Order has been approved and due delivery tomorrow 3x2.5mg for £344.25 with free P&P. So all good and I'm pretty pleased not to have the on-going worry of sorting a delivery every month (and be able to spread pen out for 6 weeks by taking just 2mg).

KrankyKumquat · 06/08/2025 16:38

@Flapearedknave yes, it's a bit of a game changer for me. Every month I was thinking 'are they going to query my current weight or how long since last order, change the rules, say that I need another consult, stop free P&P, or will I miss the delivery'. Nice to just forget about it for a while.

Femeia · 08/08/2025 00:42

That’s great @KrankyKumquat! Are they still giving you discount codes? I’ve used up the 3 they gave me so need to ask for more I guess

KrankyKumquat · 08/08/2025 07:49

@Femeia
Yes they are, just send an email with a brief update and they'll send you some more. I only used 1 to bulk buy. I think they're only valid for 3 months so I sometimes only used 2 in time, but it was never an issue.

A little update from me - I lost my job in January, and it was really hard, because I had been with the company for 23 years. I did get a nice payoff, which gave me some space to take the time to find a new role and focus on me for the first time in forever. I continued my health journey, spent a lot of time walking and just hanging out with my DH, developed an addiction to Pilates, and caught up with a lot of people I have lost touch with. We also just got a new puppy after losing our dog in January as well.

On Monday I start a new role - and I am of course excited, but I am going to miss all my newfound routines. At 55, it has been a challenge, as I am considered old and overqualified, but I think this team will be fantastic and I am going to really enjoy working there. I do believe my weight loss contributed to getting the new role, because people do discount you more easily when you are fat. And I am going to really enjoy dressing in a brand new work wardrobe - I have had to replace almost every piece of clothing, but I have lost approximately 67 lbs from my recent heaviest weight, so it makes sense. I am feeling a little overwhelmed about starting in a new company, that feels crazy after being so experienced and the “old hand” in my last one, but I have done so many new things recently, so I know I can do this too! Pic of the new puppy, who is adorable and exhausting.

@spamm fully understandable nervousness but I’m sure by the end of the first day you’ll be feeling much better.

I’m excited for you starting a new chapter with people who will only know you as you are now, with the weight loss and new clothes! I’m sure you’ll develop new routines and slot your new hobbies around the job.
