@Snozzlemaid that is such a lovely post! I’m going to steal your catchphrase!

I am almost 5lbs down after 2 weeks. I can do this anytime - it’s carrying on past 2 weeks that is usually the problem… it is so uplifting knowing I’ll be carrying on losing weight this time and not yo-yo ing. I’m also looking forward to the long walks being easier.

You're off to a great start.
I would have given up a long time ago but MJ gives me the tools to keep going, even on weeks with little or no losses.

@CarrotTail 7.5mg delivered this week April 25 Oushk

NewLifter · 14/09/2024 10:43

Lovely to see everyone is still doing well ❤️

Well I took my 12th jab a few days ago and decided to increase from 45 to 48 clicks of my 5mg pen as suppression seemed to have reduced a bit the week before. Trying to gently crawl my way up to 5mg as I know clicks aren't really the correct way to go 🙈

But my word, the suppression is too much. I had to force myself to eat a bagel last night after eating nothing the entire day. Clearly I am ridiculously sensitive to this drug 🙈

Weightloss still ticking along nicely, still very rare anyone notices but I'm happy about that!

I've lowered my goal weight by a further 7lbs after finding out I'm not as tall as I thought 🤔 so have another stone to go.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend 😍❤️

WitchyBits · 14/09/2024 11:09

Absurdly delighted today. Fit the first time in years in in the 15st bracket 😁.

9 August SW. 17 st 5 lb
14sept. Cw. 15 st 13 lb

NippyCrab · 14/09/2024 11:29

My scales showed me a 12, 12stone 12.8lbs this morning I'm seriously just like wtaf, I'm still on 2.5mg and eating clean with smaller portions. I've injected into my stomach today because I've started getting a rash on my thighs. I'm hoping I won't have different side effects.
Everyone is doing amazing with losses and NSV's. I'm loving the non stretchy jeans post, I haven't had non stretchy jeans since a pair of Pepe jeans in my teens lol. I loved those jeans.

Tireduk · 14/09/2024 11:43

I’ve had a weird week this week. Didn’t loose much weight and didn’t feel the suppression, however I stuck to 1,000 to 1200 calories daily. I think my metabolism is slow. Today I did my 7.5 pen and actually used 50 clicks as I hadn’t gone up previously. Stayed on 5. Strange feeling this morning, my beats per minute have raised from my normal around 70 to over 100. Have other people noticed a raised heart rating on taking MJ. I’m sure it will settle and maybe it will shift my weight and metabolism.

Great news for all those losers, some really good results. I’ve still got 3 stone to go so it’s feeling a bit of a slog today, as I’m now in week 13 and it’s slow going. Although I just need to keep going like everyone. 🤞🤞

guestusername · 14/09/2024 13:03

WI today. Not the best week and have lost 3/4 of a pound. I had 5mg this week after 6.25 last week. I did have a bigger dinner last night though so I’m sure that’ll be it.

SW 14.12
CW 12.2
TW1 11.13
TW2 11.5

I thought I needed to get to 11.7 for a healthy BMI but when I checked again I saw that it was 11.5 😂 I’m not sure how much I want to get past that yet. I shall see when I get there

NSV - I bought a size 12 top today and it fits 😀

FarriersGirl · 13/09/2024 17:06

So the pen you are using now gave you one 7.5mg, plus 10mg for the next 2 doses 60+80+80 +220 clicks. Your last 4th dose will be the 20 clicks remaining on the pen plus what is left, if you use a syringe it should be around 0.6ml and that will total 10mg. The next 7.5mg pen will give you 3x10mg if you do 3x80 = 240 clicks but the bonus dose remaining will be approx 7.5mg.

Thank youu... yeah three doses in the new one not 4 ... I was punch drink when I wrote that . x

Yes to the raised heart beat.
I have no idea what my usual resting heart rate is as Its not something I track, quite by accident this week I had to check my pulse oximitry meter at work was working..... My heart rate was 115 😱
I had to actually confess to my colleague I'm taking mounjaro as my BP was quite low too - a little alarming I have to say. The heart rate has lowered but its still creeping up at some times throughout the day. Incidentally this happened after taking my first 7.5mg dose. I can't obviously say for sure it was the 7.5, as I don't know what my heart was pre 7.5 or even pre mounjaro but 7.5 has made me feel really parculiar, and to top that ive lost absolutely nothing either! I counted clicks this week and did 6.25 because I really cant face feeling so odd for another week.

Has anyone else had these strange side effects on 7.5? Dizzy, low blood pressure, tachycardia, extreme fatigue?

hoarahloux · 14/09/2024 18:24

Weighed in today at under 200lbs for the first time in ten years 🙌

MamaBearH · 14/09/2024 18:38

I thought no one was posting -turns out my notifications stopped working. I'm an idiot.

Feeling very deflated today. I finally saw 15 stone 0 on the scales & got so excited that I'd finally see 14 something the next day. Instead I've gained 1lb every day for the last 3 days. Nothing has changed! I'm so annoyed that every time I've tried a diet I can get some weight off then my weight either stalls or starts to increase again. My body is rubbish!
I'm now struggling to drink anything, I can't eat, my back has gone again & my bad knee has swollen so I'm feeling really miserable.
Common sense tells me I need to drink, eat & pull myself together. Just feeling very low in myself but there's problems going on in my life that I think have just dragged my mood down.

Just needed somewhere to vent where people understand the struggles of weight loss. I don't want to be fat till I die. I can't exercise due to my stupid broken body.
Sorry to be a wee rain cloud today.

Pinkyp22 I felt exactly the same today. I went shopping and felt slightly dizzy, totally exhausted! I think my blood pressure was also down. When I got back into the car I ate a mandarin to try to give myself some energy and feel a bit better to drive home. My planned walk went out the window. Weird how I never noticed this on other doses. Let’s hope we start losing some pounds soon. Thanks for your feedback, it’s not just me…

weaseleyes · 14/09/2024 19:09

Sorry to hear things are rubbish @MamaBearH. Your body won't actually have put on 3lb if you're sticking to your diet, it's just messing with you and retaining water to try to scare you into overeating again! Just hang on in there, it will pass :)

Pinkyp22 · 14/09/2024 19:25

@tiereduk@tiereduk

Yes my workouts have been put on hold this week, after the sizzy spells and the heart racing I just havnt felt ok, can't exactly put my finger on it other than I don't feel normal

SilenceInside · 14/09/2024 19:35

@MamaBearH it sounds like you've got a lot going on at the moment, so no wonder it's getting to you. Weight fluctuations like that are so cruel because you get your hopes up and then everything moves the wrong way. But this is a long game and you will get there, if you keep going one moment to the next.

KrankyKumquat · 14/09/2024 20:01

@pinky
Yes I've been exactly the same on 7.5 but i also had it less bad on lower doses. Feel OK when I get up, but about an hour later it starts and continues till the afternoon. Dizziness is the worst bit, notice it when I tie my laces and pick up after the dog! I'm thinking it's low blood pressure - I've measured it and it's below 100 - rather than blood sugar as eating doesn't seem to help (I'm presuming eating would help low blood sugar but I don't really know that, wish i could test it though). I went back to 5mg for a week and ate more carbs and that seemed to help when I returned to 7.5 but worse than ever again now. I haven't checked heart beat so will do that tomorrow. I should also add I lost 9lbs in 2 weeks which was far too much and scared me a bit as nothing else had changed. Definitely not going up to 10mg unless it gets better.

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 14/09/2024 20:38

Im learning I need to eat differently to fuel and recover from my runs, otherwise I'm starving.

Even though the binges are nothing like they used to be, they're still there - but only on long run days.

18months on GLP1s and still learning! The post run hunger is what's keeping me from breaking into a new stone bracket I think.

Saturday night musings. Very rock and roll. 😂

Pinkyp22 · 14/09/2024 20:49

@KrankyKumquat thank you for letting me know you've felt the same, I was really quite worried at one point.
I did test my my blood glucose levels when I kept feeling dizzy and it was ok, which lead me to check my blood pressure. I have never had issues with blood pressure despite my weight so again I don't really know what is usual for me but like you, systolic (higher reading) was lower than 100 but not so low I'd be worried too much.
Low blood pressure can absolutely make you feel dizzy, and as you describe on bending or standing. It was when I was doing the silly joe wicks workouts getting up off the floor I felt particularly dizzy.
If you do check your BP, please its worth doing a sitting and standing reading to check if it drops when you stand.
9lbs in two weeks is a lot to lose, saying this im insanely jealous of it!
I did 50 clicks = 6.25 this week instead of 7.5 its literally put the fear of god in me, I don't think I want to go that high again in a long time

KrankyKumquat · 14/09/2024 21:15

@pinky
My BP before MJ was 125-135 so there's been a big drop. I know low pressure isn't necessarily a medical worry (and I've family history of high BP, heart disease, etc so it's good in a way) but it's pretty unpleasant isn't it? Certainly puts me off exercising.

Thank you. I couldn't overeat if I tried. It's just so disheartening when you know you aren't being bad but the scales try to make you feel like it's pointless. Good thing with mj is it continues to work even when things stall. On something like SW I probably would have ordered a takeaway to feel better but on mj I don't even want it.

Thank you. I knew posting here meant others would understand. I guess expecting to see a lb off then gaining every day instead has just riled me. I don't know what to do to make the weight gain stop. I was about to clear my wardrobe out seeing as I've dropped 2 shein sizes but now I worry maybe I shouldn't.

MamaBearH · 14/09/2024 22:26

I hope all of you feeling poorly feel better. If it's to do with the dose do you think it will ease as your body gets used to it? I wonder should I take a few bp readings to get a baseline before I up my dose.

SilenceInside · 14/09/2024 22:38

@MamaBearH all you can do is just keep at it. The weight fluctuation is going to be hormonal or water retention and you may well get a drop this week or next. I have to keep reminding myself that this is it, there's no option other than to push on and treat it as a long term process. Maybe I need to stop weighing daily too, and just go week to week scary as that sounds.

To be honest a weekly weigh would be worse for me as at the end of the week I'd sometimes show only 1lb loss but weighing daily I can see trends better. Looking at my graph tonight I've actually noticed my weight keeps dropping then it sts for a few days or sometimes goes up a 1lb or 2 then drops again. It's not linked to my totm though as there's no pattern. I've tried to increase water today but only managed 2 boiled eggs. I was eating salads & stir frys then went off them. Next it was greek yoghurt & berries but that's now making me wretch. It's like being pregnant again (I'm 100% not). I need to find something new to eat. Since I started MJ carbs have run through me at a lightening pace for some reason. I've a bunch of food allergies too so my diet has always been difficult.
I don't understand how you hear about people wasting away from not eating yet my body never drops weight from lack of food. I've plenty of reserves to live off for a long time yet. I wonder if I could stomach cooked food again for a change.
If I can't stomach food before my jab tomorrow I might hold off a day or 2 to see if my appetite comes back first. Normally I'm starving by day 6 so this week has thrown me.

Sorry, thinking out loud and rambling.
