Well two more screens not three. They are trying to stop people selling it on Facebook.

After the screen above on Facebook there's still another three screens of warnings before you can actually get to the list of Facebook groups.

I haven’t even managed to get to the groups! It just keeps telling me to report the sale of drugs.

Makes you wonder what went on!

Time4changeagain · 12/09/2024 07:51

Thanks @MelainesLaugh & @Choux
I suppose it’s not a bad thing but I feel if people were actually looking to buy on Facebook a few warning signs wouldn’t put them off

Choux · 12/09/2024 07:52

I am sure the first time I looked I could eventually see the groups but when I went back to get the screenshots I can't now get to them at all. I wasn't a member of any Facebook groups though so am not sure if they are still operating.

Didn't Oushk have a really active Facebook group run by Hira?

FarriersGirl · 12/09/2024 08:07

The Oushk group is still showing in my feed as I am a member. Its a bit of an irony that Facebook has taken this ultra cautious approach and yet it seems unable to deal with endless scams, misinformation etc.

Random shower thoughts this morning.

This medication imitates hormones that influence our physiology and behaviour.

When I was ovulating (and young) my mind was full of thoughts of cock and my behaviours changed as my body was craving sex.

Postpartum my thoughts and behaviours changed as my hormones had changed. It’s accepted that people have different sex drives amd that changes in time as it is hormone related.

It struck me that this medication shows that maybe people have different hormone levels that drive their physiology and behaviour and maybe people with a weight problem have a different hormone profile or reaction that drives the food noise and overeating. We all know that physiology changes with weight gain so this then compounds the problem.

I am hoping these meds and the studies coming out change the narrative that people are overweight through choice and that they need to move more and eat less.

Really interesting ideas! While we focus on the more mechanical process of feeling fuller more quickly and for longer, I've always felt there must be more at play than that as I wouldn't be the weight I am if I only ate when hungry and stopped when I'd had enough!

Really interested in long term studies to see if mj can do some kind of reset - physiological, not just habits and behaviours - and, if so, how long you have to take it for those effects to happen. Also been wondering about the interplay between hormones and emerging evidence about the importance of the gut biome and whether the changes to a super healthy diet that mj gives me the head space to make will make maintenance more sustainable.

I have shower musings too!

Weigh and jab day today.
SW: 12.6.6
CW: 9.6.4
IGW: 9.0.0

BMI 23.4

It's been a roller coaster of a couple of weeks. My Dad had a massive stroke, and sadly died after a week in hospital. I've lived on protein bars, and a light evening meal after visiting Dad. My sister then took over the cooking, and we've eaten very well, and very healthily. I'm back home for a couple of days, then heading down to Mums again tomorrow to take over from my sister, as she's flying to the States for her sons wedding. I'm also going to fit in a visit to my niece and her brand new baby boy, born the day before Dad's stroke.

I need to try and get back to eating proper food, at proper times again.

KrankyKumquat · 12/09/2024 08:53

@pinktransit
So sorry to hear about your dad. I'm sure you'll get back on track but in the meantime, you just have to do what you need to do to get through this time. When I went through similar with my mum, then dad, I just felt permanently sick - stress, lack of sleep, crap eating patterns but in the longer term, it all settled. Enjoy the new baby x

BellaCriesAndThatsAlright · 12/09/2024 08:58

@pinktransit so sorry to hear about your dad. Just do what you need to do to get through. When I lost my mum I just had to eat what I could manage to cope.

I think it’s all groups that had words Mounjaro or wegovy in that are now not searchable

@pinktransit i am so sorry about your dad 💐

weigh day for me, i have lost 2 and a half pounds and this is a special one for me because my BMI has now gone below 40 🥰 I’ve redone my measurements too, I do those once a month, and I’ve lost another 2 inches from my waist. I am definitely losing more inches from my waist proportionally than other areas, I supposedly gained a quarter inch on my arm 😂 must have measured wrong last time.

I’ve ordered another 5mg which I start next week, my third 5, but now I’m regretting that as I’ve been feeling hungry the last couple of days and I’m wondering if it’s finally starting to wear off! If so I’ve got a tough 5 weeks ahead of me 😬 I wonder if I see how this upcoming week goes, the following week I’m on holiday anyway so I wouldn’t up my dose, but then if I am struggling maybe I could split the bonus out across the remaining weeks to make it close to 7.5 and then start my new pen a week early? Has anyone else done this before?

Yes I did that. I did 5mg + 15 clicks each time to make 6.25mg

Snozzlemaid · 12/09/2024 13:31

The Mounjaro community UK group has been renamed on Facebook to GLP1 Community UK.

Does anybody know how you get the "recommend a friend and both get a discount " code with med express? My sister wants to try and tbh I could really do with the credit as the full price monthly fee will kill me.

Go onto your account. There is a drop down menu that says referral code.

WitchyBits · 12/09/2024 19:35

@Sadteacher thank you!

QueenOfHiraeth · 12/09/2024 22:02

I think it is good that Facebook are doing this. I posted on a FB group and then got a private message from a woman in Glasgow offering me vials and suggesting I could make a profit by selling to friends. I would have replied that I had worked in healthcare for many years, understood the law relating to medicines and would be forwarding her message to Glasgow Police but for the fact she seemed very aggressive with anyone crossing her online and had loads of "huns" with very poor spelling supporting her.

A friend of mine runs an online pharmacy and was telling me this week that they have been advised to do F2F/video consultations for many meds instead of questionnaires and he thinks that new guidance is being planned which will ban discounts off medication. Nothing cast in stone yet as far as I know but it seems like tightening up is on the way which, in my opinion, is well overdue

Yes, I’ve done this too for the exact same reason. It’s tricky working out whether to stay on the same dose or move up 🤔

Thank you, it’s just typical, I went back and forth on what to do for a couple of weeks, decided to order it and then the day it arrived thought, I think I’ve made a mistake 😂

Paperwhite13 · 13/09/2024 07:19

Morning everyone!

I didn't post on my usual weigh day (Monday) as I've been in a two week stall.. I know it isn't the longest but its been really frustrating.

I'm going to go up to 7.5 for my next injection.

Scale Victory: I'm finally under 200lbs (just).
Non-scale Victory: I can see my vagina when lying down in the bath (just) 😅.

SW: 240.8lbs
CW: 199.6lbs

Total loss 41.2lbs
