Mounjaro suppliers objective opinion

SaulHudsonDavidJones · 22/08/2024 10:44

Hi, looking for a supplier for Mounjaro but I'm interested in objective opinions around price and service, rather than trying to get a discount code. I think there could be some push from some people to get their code used and therefore a recommendation might not be completely accurate. Thanks

I've used Zava and Oushk.

Zava started off great but last time took a good while from ordering to arriving and the ice pack was melting.

Oushk don't do referral codes but often do discount codes (so only the buyer benefits so no need to think that people are only promoting them to get a discount on their next jab). Their service is second to none, really professional and helpful. There is a facebook group that their prescriber does a regular live Q&A session on.

KnickerlessParsons · 22/08/2024 11:57

I'm buying it from a local pharmacy. The pharmacist is using it himself and he's so helpful.

LoveSandbanks · 22/08/2024 12:14

I’m using Voy which is probably among the most expensive but support is pretty good and no issue with deliveries. Easiest to get prescribed through them initially too.

3wDavid · 22/08/2024 12:19

I am using MedExpress.
They can be a bit hit and miss in terms of timing - sometimes they seem to have more of a backlog and it takes a few extra days to get your order processed, but other than that I cannot fault them for the following reasons:

  • You get £40 OFF your first order as a new customer with a discount code (if you want a code I can send it over to you), which I believe makes them the cheapest
  • You can re-order every 2 weeks, which does give you a 2 or even 3 weeks of a buffer before you actually need your next pen, so the slight delays here and there are rarely impactful, just annoying.
  • They support maintenance for 2 years after you reach your goal weight.
  • Easy-ish to get a hold of via email/call (again, sometimes are busier than others) but overall, I have not had to wait more than 48 h for response
  • Once, in the 3 months I've been using them, my pen was delayed by Royal Mail and as a result arrived with the ice packs melted - they sent me a complimentary pen with next day special delivery.

Really helpful, thanks everyone

Asda - no discount codes I think, but I wanted to go through an established and reliable pharmacy service provider. They have good online support, and I like being able to pick up pen/needles etc from an actual pharmacy where I can ask questions if I need to. Very quick delivery, no hassle in getting the initial prescription.

3wDavid · 22/08/2024 12:22

Forgot to add re MedExpress, they also have a price match - if you find the pen cheaper elsewhere, you shoot them a note with a screenshot or the link to the website, and they credit your account with the difference.

Moier · 22/08/2024 12:24

Myself and daughter use Medexpress.
No problems whatsoever.
Good luck.

happygertie · 22/08/2024 13:25

I don't have a code and I didn't use a code. I bought from cloud pharmacy.

I nearly bought from another provider- can't remember which one now, but when I completed the assessment it didn't feel very through so just found cloud pharmacy and their assessment felt more detailed and I got a message about from the pharmacist explaining what interactions I may get with my current meds and what to look out for.

This is my first pen though so I have only used cloud pharmacy once.

Although they do support maintenance which I know a lot of people are keen on.

FlopFlaps · 22/08/2024 13:25

I am looking for the same thing here. Last year I did use Ozempic from January to around August and I used my juniper and finished because of supply issues - the cost went up to around £225 I think, and the dose went down to meet demand, but no refunds were given. But I was thankful at the time to have a reasonably consistent supply. In the end I was quite short on cash and couldn't justify over £200 a month on what wasn't even really a therapeutic dose.

No one on any of the threads seems to recommend my juniper anymore, not sure why. But I am looking for a supplier like that - more of a subscription so I know I won't run out. I've also seen on some of the threads that some suppliers don't support maintenance doses. I don't want to pay over the odds, but I don't want to keep moving around to find the best deal every month.

Ineffable23 · 22/08/2024 13:29

I'm using Pharmacy2U. I have no idea if they do referral codes but I wanted a reasonably priced "big name" that I had heard of. They have sent me a discount code for £30 off every pen bar my first so far - I got a £40 discount off that one again using discount (rather than a referral code). They've not been more than £150 a pen I don't think but I'm not moving up the doses very fast.

Darlinghag · 22/08/2024 13:30

I went with ASDA. Not the cheapest across all doses.

I choose it because reviews were generally favourable around support from their medical team and also I have an option to collect from their pharmacies.

I didn’t have any issues with the sign up process - just need to submit two pictures, one of the scale with me on it, and one of my side profile in clothes that showed my shape, with the date on paper.

The only thing of note was that they advertise as only dispatching Mon-Thurs, so if you are approved on a Friday you will not get it dispatched til Monday - so receive Tuesday, but mine was dispatched on the Fri and I received Saturday, luckily I was home and had notice that morning via DPD.

unsync · 22/08/2024 14:05

Asda are good. Home delivery or in store pharmacy pick up both work well. Their communications are good too. There is support if you need it. I have had a late delivery, which was the courier's fault and a pen malfunction, both issues were dealt with satisfactorily.

MissFancyDay · 22/08/2024 14:23

I'm with Zava for my first pen, I have found them fine, online support is fine and the pen arrived promptly and was cold. However I will switch supplier after my second pen as I am worried that Zava don't support maintenance at all.

At the moment the ones I am considering are Cloud, Bolt or Oushk.

tastytreatsnomore · 22/08/2024 14:39

I'm with Voy, one of the more expensive providers unless you post the referral codes and someone uses them, the referral codes being used makes the pens half price at about£114 per pen but it is a real pain having to keep posting the codes and also very annoying seeing them all the time. Voy do offer good support and they automatically send out the pens monthly but you can delay the delivery dates to suit you. They don't inform your GP which is good if you want nobody to know.
Would probably go with another provider if you happy for Gp to be informed and you want a cheaper provider, most of the other providers seem reliable and more affordable going by posts. I do a weekly weigh in with Voy and am on my 4th pen and I have lost a very good amount of weight.

Me1987 · 22/08/2024 15:17

I ordered from Cloud pharmacy, have had my Saxenda from there and now Mounjaro, easy and simple to get, emailed for help once and got an email back straight away and one of the cheapest I believe. Ordered ky Moumjaro and it cam 2 days later, you also pick who delivers it.
They have a code which is augustdose at the moment, given a small amount off.

Pinkfluffymarshmallows · 22/08/2024 16:11

I’m with VOY as I was really nervous starting and felt I wanted support. They have been brilliant, you get a coach who’s a qualified nutritionist plus doctors/pharmacists if you have questions. My coach WhatsApp me several times a week and I’ve changed my delivery date, requested travel advice and a letter to take abroad just in case I have issues in the airport all using WhatsApp. You can also change your dosage via WhatsApp if you decide not to move up. They send out your pens automatically so no having to mess around reordering or worrying the pen won’t turn up. It’s all so easy. They also offer maintenance and don’t inform your gp unless you want them to. They are more expensive and I did consider chasing the cheaper deal but have seen lots of posts about delays etc and would rather the certainty and the support. I can’t fault them so far.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 22/08/2024 19:50

@FlopFlaps I am with Voy which is a subscription service. As already mentioned, they offer a named weight loss coach, have nutritionists available, have an app with a weight tracker and send a weekly email with tips etc. Not cheap though!

Other 'extra support' options I have come across are Trim, Habitual and Numan.

Voy seems to be the most popular and there are numerous discount codes for your first order floating around (including mine! 😂)

beachgirl7 · 22/08/2024 20:17

I went with Asda, no problems at all. Ordered my 3rd pen this afternoon and already been processed and dispatched.

They just needed photo of weight and body with the first order and then others get have needed updated weight.

Asda do also have 10% off codes, I've never used one though as didn't have one for my first order.

NewLifter · 23/08/2024 06:44

I've ordered three pens so far, all through Zava. I paid £122 for each. They don't offer any additional support and communication isn't great. My 2nd pen was slow coming, the other two were quick. Not particularly cold on arrival but I've been getting excellent suppression so clearly that hasn't affected the medication.

I used someone's code for my first discount and posted my code which has been used 6 times.

However I won't be staying with them as they don't offer any maintenance and I suspect that will continue to be the case as they don't offer a personalised service at all.

My plan is to move to Oushk. They offer blue light discounts of £15 per order so I don't think it will cost me much more as I'm still on a low dose and don't expect to move up to a high dose before I hit maintenance (well over half way to goal).

Depending on how how my weightloss goes over the next few weeks, I will make a decision then on whether to order once more from Zava or jump ship to Oushk. I'm not a fan of moving about too much so haven't tried med express despite their discount being much better than Zava.

KeepinOn · 23/08/2024 07:08

I started with Voy, using a discount code from somewhere. But I didn't need any emotional support so didn't utilise those functions and didn't want to pay extra for something I wasn't using. I moved over to Oxford Online Pharmacy, who accepted my receipt from Voy as evidence of having gone through a detailed screening process, and I haven't had any issues with them. The packaging was very secure, cold, and quick. I'm just about to order another pen with them and used my browser to find a discount code which has brought the cost of a 5mg pen to £141.08, including shipping. That's on par with many other suppliers so I'm happy with that.

WorriedRelative · 23/08/2024 08:01

I went with Bolt because I think the discount code stuff is unethical and I don't want to buy prescription medications from a company that thinks touting discount codes online to promote powerful drugs is acceptable.

The August starters thread has some interesting comments on Voy's behaviour which tends to back this up.

AelitaQueenofMars · 23/08/2024 08:55

I went with Phlo Clinic as I already used Phlo for prescriptions so linked with my NHS app, and they’ve always been reliable. Can’t be doing with the discount code dance - just as well as they don’t do them!

I am not asked for photos. They definitely notify your GP.

They were quite slow to approve the first couple of times but that’s sped up (allow 3 working days minimum) but possibly still slower than others. I now submit a request at the weekend and expect to receive a pen the following Fri/Sat. Have never had issues with pens arriving warm.

The first pen comes with a sharps bin and a very generous amount of wipes and needles.

They ‘support maintenance’ on a case-by-case basis. So I’ve never had to worry that I’ll get blocked before goal, or at a particular BMI.

They don’t push you to go up to the next strength if the one you’re on is working for you.

They’re easy to get hold of by chat/email/phone.

They’re not the cheapest out there, but the pluses far outweigh any minuses for me.

Do you do the price match after you buy?

Posing · 23/08/2024 09:09

I have used Zava since March. Never had an issue. The first time I had to submit photos but they approved it within a day.

Parcel has always been well wrapped and arrived the next day. They also supplied a sharps bin on request and about 7 needle attachments with each pack.

It does depend on which day you order it, but that is clearly stated on their website. They have a ‘support pack’ but I have never looked at it.
