Hi all,

Thought I would start a thread for those that started quite early on and would like a space to chat with others that started around the same time. Like the threads that are dedicated to those starting in May, June, July etc thought it would be nice to have a space for people have have been on for similar amount of time.

Oh I LOVE Pilates. I do reformer which is £££ but it is the ONLY exercise I’ve found that I love. It has made a massive difference to my life. I cannot imagine not doing it now.

Wonkypictureframe · 02/09/2024 12:16

I’d like to try reformer. I’m a bit stuck at the moment as I have a CrossFit PT person. I love her and our sessions but don’t feel I’m making progress as I don’t want to do the CrossFit stuff during the week (it’s too intense for me) so end up not doing much else.

I just had a weird moment. Did my jab in my tummy and it’s been at least three weeks since I last injected there. I realised that although I still have plenty of flab there, there’s significantly less than there used to be! Took me by surprise.

@KrankyKumquat my Pilates class was zoomed from my work gym. Now we are hybrid working they offer some classes via Zoom so I don't have any recommendations for online classes I'm afraid.

Hi @Choux
Into the 25's is great - well done!
Interested in your pilates class. I decided a little while ago that I'd give pilates a go but have been stalling due to embarrassment, etc. Can you recommend an online version? Cheers x

If it helps, I've found this to be really good

It's run by a physio and I find the instructions to be very clear. There are lots of levels, lengths and target areas. The lessons are available through YouTube

Has anyone watched the Oushk video on their FB page (Oushk Support Group) which goes into more detail about their maintenance plans? They sent me an email which says the following and to look at the video for more information, but I don’t use FB and it’s a private group. Apologies if this has been discussed already.

Lifestyle Maintenance Package:
The Lifestyle Maintenance Package is ideal for patients who have reached their weight loss goals and want to maintain their results without medication. Under this plan, you'll receive ongoing support from Oushk Pharmacy’s experts, focusing on sustainable lifestyle changes, including diet and exercise. Should you find it challenging to maintain your weight without medication, this package offers the flexibility to reintroduce Mounjaro at a lower BMI threshold, ensuring you continue to achieve your health objectives. This package provides the best of both worlds—ongoing support with the option to restart medication if needed.’

It’s pretty informative in sense of what the three plans are - they introduced the video consultation yesterday which is going to be used for maintenance consultations as well.

Hira is doing a live on Friday to launch the plans from what I have picked up. I would say just give them a call instead if you prefer to find out more.

KrankyKumquat · 02/09/2024 16:05

@MikanOrange
This is a link but not sure if you'll be able to watch it without a FB account

More details are due to be released imminently and the plans haven't been launched yet so I wouldn't worry too much - the video doesn't go beyond the basics. I'm sure they'll make fuller details available in a variety of formats (such as on the pharmacy app) as not all their customers will be on FB.

Is anyone here on a 15mg pen? Trying to see what the dates are on them and if we've gone past Nov expiry yet.

I have one coming from Zava this week but wanted to order through a second provider so I can get on their books before hitting BMI 30 in case it becomes difficult. At this stage I wouldn't finish my first 15 pen until mid-Nov and therefore the second one until mid-Dec.

So far I've only seen people mention Oct expiry.

@ObsidianTree this is a bit of a worry then. I was planning on staying on 12.5 for a few more weeks but may need to move up immediately then.

ObsidianTree · 02/09/2024 22:37

@MJqueen yes it's very annoying! Hopefully there will be new dates pens soon!

TimeIretired · 03/09/2024 06:10

@MJqueen I’ve got a 15mg pen coming from Voy later this week. 🤞it’s got at least a November date on it otherwise I’ll have to use it before my spare 12.5. Just wondering tho if the expiry date is more of a best before in terms of safety IYGWIM. will let you know when it arrives.

ObsidianTree · 03/09/2024 07:26

Morning all, back from my holiday and back at work today. Boo!

Checked my weight today and have stayed the same as what I was when I left. Was hoping I might have lost something, but maybe tomorrow! Also got ttm yesterday so that's probably not helped. Currently 12st 5lbs. I did lose a lb last week by the time I left for holiday. So that's a lb lost for last week.

I ordered a pen from Zava on Sunday. Figured I would be back before it was approved so I could order it then. It's still saying processing.

Is anyone still with Zava and knows how long they take now?

Last time I ordered was over 7 weeks ago so that might be holding it up. Guess they might decide not to prescribe to me as the gap is a bit. They are super annoying though as they don't reply to messages. I messaged them saying the reason why I wasn't ordering within 6 weeks (due to having enough meds and the short expiry dates on their 15mg etc). Also messaged again asking if they have now changed their maintenance stance. No answer to both messages. Sent weeks ago! So definitely plan to move away from them. Just want to use a few more vouchers first as it seems a waste to move as Oshik is a lot more expensive. Might look into cloud(I think) maybe. Not in need for meds at the moment anyway. Just want to know if Zava have cut me off!

@ObsidianTree

I ordered from Zava on 29/8 and it was approved 2/9. Not sure how long since my last order but at least 4 weeks. No additional questions.

CiderJabs · 03/09/2024 09:25

Morning all. Weighed myself today and am happy to announce I'm back to pre holiday weight - 9.13. So it took a week to go back to normal which I'm ok with.
I've decided to delay taking the jab until Friday (took it last Monday) as I think it will be best to take it close to the weekend. It will also give me an idea of how I feel with a 10 day gap.

Oh wow ok. 4 days is a long time! I'll assume they are just being slow with my order. Thanks

So my weight loss is definitely slowing now. I've dropped from a 24 down to 16/18 but I'm tall so wondering if this is where my weight will sit?

I'm on 7.5mg did a bonus dose which bumped me to 9mg and suppression was too much really. I'm planning on staying on until February I think until titrating down but not sure I'll drop more than another stone or two if I'm honest. Currently the lightest I've been since I was 15 though 🤪

6 months and 1 week since I started and I hit the 6 stone mark today!

CiderJabs · 03/09/2024 12:18

@Scalessayeek how much do you weigh now and what's your bmi?
I find my body still fights to stay at 11st (bmi 26ish as I'm short) and I think it's because I've hovered around that weight for the last 30 years. I have now managed to get under 10 but it does take effort to stay here. I believe you will continue to lose but more slowly!

AgathaMystery · 03/09/2024 12:28

@Scalessayeek well done!

Just had a phone call with my mother who commented on my weight loss from holiday pics. So it must be noticeable now.

She did say ‘oh god, you’re not on Ozempic are you?! Look at the state of Sharon Osbourne’ I said no, I’m not on Ozempic.

I’m on week 6 of 7.5 and thinking I might go up to 8.5 this weekend. I’ve nibbled on ice cream the past 2 nights so some suppression is definitely waning.

Scalessayeek · 03/09/2024 13:39

@CiderJabs currently 15st 4 and bmi is just over 30, in theory a long way to go but we shall see how it plateaus. I'm trying to introduce social eating a little bit more whereas before I was quite strict. Still trying to monitor calories most of the time though and gym 3/4 times a week!

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 03/09/2024 14:05

The pen I ordered last week appears to have been lost since I missed the delivery on Friday 🤨. No second attempt at delivery made for 3 working days.
I'd have missed it anyway as cctv shows a woman at the door for less than 20 seconds and she was on my property for less than 45 seconds overall. Really fucked off with that.

I really didn't know whether to bother ordering any more pens and now I wish I hadn't! I only ordered because I had a discount code.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 03/09/2024 14:06

@Scalessayeek wow well done! 🎉🎉

KrankyKumquat · 03/09/2024 14:47

I was a having a nosey on AIBU this morning at another one of those rather tiresome threads about WL jabs. I won't bore/depress you with the content but, as usual, several people tried to explain how they work and described appetite suppression as the main affect. However, later, I was making lunch and got thinking (again) about how they're so much more than this.
I was making my partner a bacon butty and boiling myself an egg. I was hungry, the bacon smelt amazing and I've no doubt, would have tasted great too. Yet I had no problem opting for a boiled egg; it really wasn't a battle to resist.
So appetite suppression wasn't the issue, nor a sudden aversion to a small amount of fried, salty meat and white sliced bread. I'm 17 weeks in so this wasn't about me being highly motivated as you are in the first week or two of a diet. Nor about an effect on serotonin/reward systems in the brain - the bacon butty would have been rewarding and satisfying as I was hungry and I know bacon butties taste amazing.

I'm sure we're all making good choices like this everyday, without really thinking about it. I just don't understand what it's doing in situations like this!

ObsidianTree · 03/09/2024 16:12

My Zava order was approved after not ordering for 7 weeks. No questions asked!

So anyone with Zava that haven't ordered for a while and want to push an order until later ... Seems it's doable with Zava!

Think I'll try and push my next order until 1st Nov so they can't send me Oct expiry stock!
