Hi all,

Thought I would start a thread for those that started quite early on and would like a space to chat with others that started around the same time. Like the threads that are dedicated to those starting in May, June, July etc thought it would be nice to have a space for people have have been on for similar amount of time.

Actually all I eat are M&S roast chicken breast portions. Not sure why. £5.75 for two! But sandwiches aren’t hitting like they did 😂

BlackFriYay · 27/08/2024 17:01

NSV - I found an absolutely spectacular pair of wrangler jeans in a charity shop today for under a tenner.. in a size 8.. and they fit! It was a glorious feeling.

I think sizes are a fluke half of the time though, as not one hour later I tried on a pair of topshop jeans in a size 8 and couldn't get them past my knees 😂

Buffypaws · 27/08/2024 17:33

Yeesh would love a size 8!

MikanOrange · 27/08/2024 18:35

I’m a size 14 now but I think I’d be happy with 10 🤔

BlackFriYay · 27/08/2024 18:51

Buffypaws · 27/08/2024 17:33

Yeesh would love a size 8!

I wish it was consistent 😂 I can't get my legs, non existent arse or deflated c-section overhang in the vast, vast majority of 8's.

It's funny how much sizes differ across brands. I would say I'm a solid 10 right now.

Moanranger · 27/08/2024 19:15

My fat seems to have re-distributed😱
As there is approximately one week left of summer, I thought I would wear a fitted waist sun dress I haven’t worn for a couple of years. I weighed around 12 stone last time I wore it and it was loose on the waist. I am wearing it now, but it is much snugger. (I am 11.5 stone ATM) My fat seems to have migrated to my middle-ugh!
I have now lost just shy of 2 stone, but due to my shortness, I would need to lose a further 21lbs to be at the very top end of a healthy BMI. That seems like a lot! Once I hit my first goal of 71kg (likely end of Sept) I will re-set & see if I can continue to lose 2kg a month. Still on 5mg & suppression is good. Little chance of getting booted off by my pharmacy!

ObsidianTree · 27/08/2024 19:32

@Moanranger I was thinking my weigh distribution seems different this time. I have a button up dress that needs to fit just right to fit. I managed to fit into it when I did keto and was definitely heavier. I tried it a short while ago and it buttoned up at the bottom but the buttons near the bust wouldn't go up. It fits now and I wore it on the weekend. But odd that when I last wore it I must have been around 14st! Now I'm under 12 and half stone and it starts to fit!

Wonder if we've lost muscle? I know I've definitely lost my butt.

@ObsidianTree I think I now have more fat around my waist, is all. I am toned up due to many hours in gym, but I don’t think this is causing the problem!

JanetSnakeholeMacklin · 28/08/2024 08:10

Hey! I'm back from almost 2 week holiday. So pleased to be back where I can control my food better!! The canaries are great, however the food is not mounjaro weight loss friendly! It's all fried cheese, creamy sauces, pizza, potatoes and pastry. I did my best, and definitely ate smaller portions. But sometimes I ate more than I wanted so I wouldn't appear rude to our hosts, and protein (if you're not into fish) was pretty hard to come by.

Honestly, I'm craving decent food so badly!
I weighed this morning for the first time since I left, and was so relieved to see I'm exactly the same weight I was when I left. I thought I'd have put on a stone. Phew.

Asda are on at me to reorder mounjaro, but I might try oshuk because of their maintenance plan. I'm a long way from maintenance, but hearing Asda have stopped supplying people when they're at BMI 26 is scary.

yorkypuds · 28/08/2024 09:04

Just wanted to update on the sickness.
After my 3rd dose of 10mg, I had horrendous sickness/ nausea for 3 days. I wasn't sure if it was mounjaro or a bug but it seemed over people had had similar at this stage.
I was wary about continuing it but decided to take 5mg about 10 days after previous dose which was fine but not having much appetite suppression and obsessing about what to eat. So I have done the other half, another 5mg dose 4 days later. So fingers crossed.
I now have a 12.5mg in the fridge so will have to ponder further about what to do next. I absolutely cannot have sickness again!

KeepingUndercover · 28/08/2024 10:30

Can I just say that I absolutely love that when the threads first started none of us could remember how to spell Mounjaro and now none of can remember how to spell Oushk. It's definitely a return to the good old days!

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 28/08/2024 11:01

I'm now officially lighter than my DP. Honestly thought it would take a miracle to achieve that, but it's done!
I'm 69.10kg and he's 69.55kg. Not much in it but his weight always stays basically the same no matter what he does.

KrankyKumquat · 28/08/2024 12:29

After losing 3st, I am finally in size 16 jeans. All it took was one more pound! I was planning to wait until I hit size 14 before I bought new clothes but couldn't wait any longer so bought a new belt as well, which should see me right for a couple of months if the 16s get too big 😂

CiderJabs · 28/08/2024 13:12

Woohoo @PissedOffNeighbour22 !

Holiday flab update: down 1.6lbs overnight. Only another 5 to go!!!

Moanranger · 28/08/2024 14:25

So today my cleaner (male) said I looked “different” I explained I had lost weight. He then started quizzing me as to how. I gave him the usual spiel -1200 cals, etc, which is technically true. I didnt want to get into MJ with him, I don’t know him that well & I think he is a gossip.
Nor did I ‘fess up to a friend last weekend, tho she didn’t ask. At some point I might share with someone, & if I was asked directly “are you using an injection?” I wouldn’t lie.I just find diet discussions really boring, so I tend to shut them down.

MoreThanJustANumber · 28/08/2024 15:21

@MelissaLouRocks How are you doing? Been thinking of you.

Moanranger · 28/08/2024 16:19

For the second time Health Express sent my MJ order without needles🤔
They want a photo of the box - why?!
Hopefully will send the, tho I have a couple left over.

CiderJabs · 28/08/2024 16:36

@Moanranger oh that's interesting! I was convinced I threw mine away by accident last time as I could not find the needles!
Got another order today and the needles came. I bought a box of 100 so I'm not bothered but it's cheeky that some orders are coming with no needles ...

KeepingUndercover · 28/08/2024 16:50

I love it when places want you to send a photo of something that's missing. If you were lying you're hardly going to leave the box of needles in the photo are you?

AgathaMystery · 28/08/2024 17:13

I got 100 needles for £8 online. I cannot be faffed when they don’t send them. It’s too much hassle!

I’m in a mega stall again - I think I need to up my dosage but I’ve another 7.5mg pen to use when I get back to the U.K.

Everyone here is OBSESSED with fried chicken. It’s all anyone eats. I’m baffled. It’s not even that good. back on Saturday and honestly craving some decent food too.

Moanranger · 28/08/2024 17:57

@AgathaMystery Where are you - southern US? Some foods that people rave about are ralphing- tried grits anyone?
@CiderJabs I may mention this to Health Express - who know who actually packages our orders - highly doubt it is a pharmacist! I think I will ask them to photograph my order before it is wrapped up - turn the tables on them!

I’m in Trinidad (& also Tobago). Street food is mostly delicious and fresh but anything in a supermarket is £££ and restaurant food is average and £££££. A huge slice of watermelon is £3 on the roadside (will feed 8 easily) but £8 in a shop. Fried chicken (all chains and indies) is cheap as chips. Everyone is obsessed with it, which is what I’ve seen in other Caribbean/ West Indies.

I have had grits and find them beyond revolting.

Silvesterthecat · 28/08/2024 19:44

Little interesting VOY tip for you all …..

Ive only ever used VOY and been lucky to have referrals so my pens have been cheap. I’m currently on 10mg and was about to go up to 12.5mg but I’ve been using the bonus doses and have plenty in the pen so I wanted to delay my next delivery until after payday , so a few weeks time.

VOY told me to cancel my subscription and then restart it when I’m ready, so I clicked on to do so. Just before I clicked on the ‘are you sure’ they offered me a £50 off not to cancel!!

So amyone on VOY and paying full price, try cancelling your subscription and see if they offer you it cheaper not to!!!

Choux · 28/08/2024 20:02

So I have arrived at 15mg. Just taken my first dose. Planning 10 weeks of hardcore 15mg (plus bonuses) dieting. Hoping that gets me to goal although I don't actually know what my goal is.

Starting my exercise regime tomorrow with a Pilates class. Then next week I have an appointment with a PT who is going to write up a weights programme for me. From age 20 to 38 I was a gym bunny but have lost all confidence to go into a gym. Now I'm smaller I feel ready to get back into exercise in my mid 50s but I am clueless about which exercises to do and how hard to push myself. Looking forward to learning.

Evening all. I'm on holiday today. Currently in Vienna. I brought my pen with me this time and will take it I think. Was considering not taking it, but its nice not feeling hungry so will take it when due. It's also cheaper as I'm not ordering much food. My husband is also choosing not to order food as he knows he will be eating most of mine and the kids left overs! Didn't bring my scales so won't find out the effects until Tuesday on my return.
