The first thread was almost full, so I thought I'd start a second so we can carry on the fab support!
I don't think I could manage tagging everyone!! But here is the link to the first thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/weight-loss-injections/5101435-mounjaro-july-2024?page=1

Am at target having lost 5 stone and am into a healthy BMI. Wouldn't mind losing a tiny bit more to try and shift fat from around my abdomen given the health issues of carrying fat there. Starting to titrate down and feeling a bit terrified of moving out of this state where eating healthily all the time is an easier thing to achieve than previously. (I have yo-yoed up and down at least once and very often twice each decade, losing and gaining more each time).

Not sure about maintenance - could be attracted to a month-on month-off option on a very low dose if anyone offers that?

NewLifter · 12/01/2025 20:41

Lovely to see how well you're all doing. I haven't posted in ages!

My total weightloss on MJ is 4 stone one pound (that one pound is too important to not mention 🤣)

I've gone from a size 16 to a 10

My BMI is now in the 'healthy range'

My goal was 1.5 stone higher than my current weight and I just kept losing which has made me quite upset at times. This morning I weighed in for the first time since before Christmas and was initially dismayed to find a further 4lbs loss.

But I've decided I feel great, I finally believe I'm at the right weight. I've recalculated my calorie allowance for maintenance and will work up to that over the next few weeks.

I was feeling a bit out of control for the last 7 weeks, thinking I was at goal but still afraid to eat too much so kept losing instead of maintaining. I did eat more over Christmas but didn't gain so I know now I can relax, the weight isn't going to pile back on and I've given myself a bit of a buffer.

I've no plans to stop MJ.

Going to exercise more as I had to stop due to no energy.

Any way, I'm finally feeling more positive about the journey ahead and more in control.

Sorry for the waffle, it helps me to lay out my thoughts, I don't expect anyone to read it all.

Bamboozled5 · 13/01/2025 21:16

Well done all.l! I've lost 4 stone exactly and now am BMI 23.5. I'm about 1-2 dress sizes down which is fantastic. Still a bit flabby on the tummy but I think I'm pretty much at my goal weight! Nearly what I weighed before children 30+ years ago.

I've also been nervous about eating a bit more but am fairly stable over Xmas and since. Have reduced to 2.5mg of MJ about every 10 days. I had a video call with Oushk who recommended this and said you can then stretch to longer between doses. Obviously this isn't an efficient use of pens and costs the same as now. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, we will see!

SilenceInside · 17/01/2025 10:24

Happy Friday morning to all the July starters 👋

Current stats at the end of week 28:

SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 97.3kg (15st 4 lbs), was 98.4kg (15st 6lbs) last week
GW: 90kg (14st 2 lbs) fourth interim goal.

My weekly losses to date have been:
-9, -2, -7, -3, -6, -4, -1, -4, -3, -4, -3, -5, -2, -7, -3, -2, -4, 1, -5, -2, -6, 0, -3, -1, -2, -1, -2,-2 for a total of 92lbs down. Or 41.7kg.

I normally weigh every day, but as an experiment this week I put the scales out of sight and only weighed in today. I found it fairly hard to resist the urge to weigh daily, and then towards the end of the week was beginning to convince myself that I would have gained this week. So I was pleasantly surprised to see a 1.1kg loss.

KeepinOn · 17/01/2025 15:20

Happy Friday. :)

It's been nearly a month since I've weighed myself, I wanted to avoid seeing any Christmas blips and now I'm 17 days into dry January, I'm sure that will have all evened out. My size 14 jeans are getting loose, which is a good indicator of downward movement!

I am getting hungrier earlier in the week again, and may need to increase my dosage again. I'm a long way off from maintenance yet!

EternalFatalist · 19/01/2025 14:56

Happy Sunday! Yesterday, I hit a 50lb weight loss - it's hard to fathom. I've been using Mounjaro for just over six months. I'm still on 5mg, with feeling frozen all the time (since day one) still being my only side effect. I'll keep plodding along...once I lose another 4lbs, I'll be in the 11s. The 11s! As I've said before, that used to be my fat weight and now it is one of my goals.

I've added exercise into the equation this month and feel good - I'm getting back to my old self, who I have really missed.

KeepinOn · 20/01/2025 10:39

Congratulations, @EternalFatalist that's a fantastic achievement isn't it!

I finally managed to schlep over to the GP and weigh myself (I only use their scales for weighing) and I've lost 1.4kg in the past four weeks. Which is very much plodding along, but I reckon that's a big win considering it was over the Christmas period. I'm 10.9kg away from a normal BMI - I've set myself an arbitrary goal to get there by the end of spring, which is completely achievable even at a plodding pace.

My main side effect has been feeling cold as well, but it doesn't feel as bad lately. Either I have stopped worrying about it because it's genuinely cold outside so I fit in with everyone else, or I'm adapting a bit. I wear plenty of layers as normal, and I have learned not to let myself get cold during the day (hot drinks, heated throw as needed, move around a bit more, fuzzy socks in bed, etc) which has helped a lot.

MounjaroMunchie · 20/01/2025 20:20

Excellent work, everyone!

@KeepinOn - I'm also really struggling with the cold at the moment and it's definitely due to weight loss. Like you, I'm wearing layers and probably going to treat myself to a heated throw for chilly evenings.

I'm still here, still going. I had a few weeks off MJ due to surgery just before Christmas but feel like I've got back on the horse OK. It's not my official weigh day, but I saw single digit stones on the scales this morning for the first time in my life, ever. Excited to see if it's still the same on Saturday morning!

Aworldofmyown · 21/01/2025 12:29

I've lost 40 pounds!! Another 7 ish and I think i need to stop with the injections.
Best money I've ever spent.

diian · 21/01/2025 19:35

Congratulations @Aworldofmyown. It is a great feeling. I am 45lb down and I am just maintaining now. I certainly have no regrets and my blood pressure is down too 115/80. The all round health benefits make these injections life changing.

WeepingInASunlitRoom · 24/01/2025 08:59

I just registered with Oushk, switching from Asda. It will be £30 cheaper per month and hopefully better customer service.

It meant that I had to weigh myself this morning so I could fill in my details accurately. I had been intending to stay off the scales until 31st Jan, making it a full month without weighing. I was, predictably, a bit gutted to see that since NYE I have only lost half a pound. My weight loss has slowed and slowed and slowed over the past four months. I still have a BMI of just under 35 so a lot to lose, I'm working out with a PT and have my eating under control. I knew I wouldn't have lost much as there is no difference in my clothes but I had hoped for a pound or two.

I need to push myself to 5mg and keep going. I tried on spring clothes and am back in some I haven't worn for four years so even if I get stuck here, I'm still more than three stone down since last July and that's great.

SilenceInside · 24/01/2025 11:52

Friday seems to have rolled around quickly this week.

Current stats at the end of week 29:
SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 96.5kg (15st 2 lbs), was 97.3kg (15st 4lbs) last week
GW: 90kg (14st 2 lbs) fourth interim goal.
Total of 94 pounds down, or 42.5kg.

I am still on 7.5mg which I have been for 19 weeks now. My weekly losses seem to have settled down to -2 pounds or so each week. I have no side effects at the moment and have suppression but not overly suppressed appetite. I am a little unsure whether to order another 7.5mg pen (this was injection 3 out of the current one) or consider moving up to 10mg. It's tempting to chase larger losses each week, but a steady -2lbs each week is a perfectly decent weight loss, just slower than it has been at various points. But it would be annoying if I order a 7.5mg and then find that it's becoming less and less effective. Also, the slowing weight loss is probably mainly due to the fact that I'm no longer in such a large calorie deficit each day, due to losing the weight that I already have and my TDEE reducing.

SilenceInside · 24/01/2025 11:56

@WeepingInASunlitRoom I have recently swapped to Zava from Asda, but am wondering about another move in a couple of months as my BMI starts to head towards 30, so thinking about maintenance providers. Oushk is one I'd be considering, so it would be interesting to know how you find them.

KeepinOn · 24/01/2025 14:07

I've decided to switch providers also, but not for maintenance, just for price. I'm moving to 10mg and medicine marketplace was hugely less expensive than Oxford online pharmacy, who I've been using for most of my time on MJ now. We'll see how it goes, I'm waiting for my order to be reviewed by a pharmacist etc. I'll report back on how it works out.

KeepinOn · 29/01/2025 19:31

Just a quick update to say that transferring to Medicine Marketplace was quick and efficient, and my new pen arrived today properly cold packed. Moving up to 10mg! 😬

SilenceInside · 31/01/2025 13:00

Here's my Friday progress update:

Current stats at the end of week 30:
SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 95.5kg (15st 0 lbs), was 96.5kg (15st 2lbs) last week
GW: 90kg (14st 2 lbs) fourth interim goal.
Total of 96 pounds down, or 43.5kg.

Another week where I have lost 1kg/2 pounds or so. I seem to be settling down to a steady loss rather than the highs and lows I had at the start. I've been working down through the 15 stone bracket for 8 weeks now, which is the longest it's taken me to move down through a stone so far. Hopefully next week I will be into the 14stone bracket, which would be an amazing result. I have not been in the 14st bracket for over a decade I think. It also seems a world away from my starting point of 22 stone. I am so inordinately glad that I started with Mounjaro, it is remarkable, it really is.

@KeepinOn I hope the 10mg is going ok for you? I've got to order my next pen and I think I will be continuing with 7.5mg but I am contemplating moving up to 10mg.

KeepinOn · 31/01/2025 17:22

Congrats @SilenceInside , your stats are amazing, so much to be proud of!

I decided to move up slowly to the full 10, so I'm on 48 clicks I think, equal to 8mg. I'll move up a half mg each month because jumping from 7.5 to 10 seems a huge leap for some reason. I did feel a bit nauseous after the injection, so I think the slow increase is the right choice. (feeling fine now)

I had a weigh in today as well, and I've officially lost 50lbs since starting! I've got about 20lbs to go to get to 'normal' weight.

I'm also really glad I made the decision to start MJ. It's definitely improved my quality of life.

SilenceInside · 31/01/2025 18:37

Thanks,@KeepinOn , great to hear you are getting closer to your goal, you are definitely on the home straight!

KeepinOn · 31/01/2025 19:10

It feels a bit surreal to think of it that way!

MounjaroMunchie · 01/02/2025 09:54

9st 12lb this morning. I can't believe it. I haven't weighed this little since I was a child.

diian · 02/02/2025 14:32

I hit 9st 13.5lb this morning. It is decades since a nine was on any scales of mine!

I am maintaining but still losing about 1-2lb a month on a 2.5mg weekly dose.

Mounjaroooooh · 02/02/2025 17:20

First post in a while, on 15mg and the suppression is crap, actually think out of all of the doses the 5mg had the best suppression for me. I'd ordered 4 pens at once in higher doses as I was out of the country, so I had to use them rather than waste them.

Anyway, last month I got into the 10 stone bracket, so 4 stone gone since end July, slower than some but lightest I've been in years. I've still got a 5 and a 7.5 in the fridge so I think I'm going to start the 5 next and see how I do, only got a stone left to lose. I'm also thinking of ordering a few 2.5 pens for when I get to goal, and maybe have a dose every fortnight maybe...need to think more about it though.

Well done to everyone else, there's been some brilliant results, we've done amazingly!

LucyBnotG · 05/02/2025 12:27

It's amazing to see the progress of people still trudging along on their weight loss journeys since July. @diian & @MounjaroMunchie seeing a 9 on the scales is incredible.

I'm nowhere near the 9s but I'm happy to report that I have now lost 4 stone! I've been cracking on with it since the end of July and have stayed on 2.5mg throughout which works well enough for me. I started back at the gym in December and have been finding a rhythm with that too.

I'm very short so technically my ideal weight is 9st 2 or below. Like many others I don't think that would be right for me but for the first time ever I think I could get to something close and see how I feel.

MounjaroMunchie · 05/02/2025 12:58

4st is amazing work @LucyBnotG !

I'm also v. short so my ideal weight is around 7st... Not happening! I dare not think what I would look like at that weight.

User364837 · 05/02/2025 15:16

Ho hum, I'm still chugging along. Very slow progress compared to everyone else, just over 2 stone since July. But as long as the scales are going in the right direction that's fine by me. BMI is just the right side of 30 now.
