It's in the fridge and I'm going to take the plunge on Monday!
Feeling really nervous about it all. Anyone due to start next week too?

Here is a Voy code for 50% off

My very bad diarrhoea continued in the night even though I hadn't eaten anything since lunchtime. I'm wondering if it's a bug instead! Feel ok this morning but afraid to eat anything.

That sounds really miserable, I hope you feel better soon.

GlitteringUnicorn · 23/07/2024 12:24

Hopping on this thread.
Day 3 for me.
Had a terrible mouth yesterday but that has thankfully passed.
Today horrible sulphur burps which are frankly disgusting! Anything I can do about those and will they pass?
And forcing myself to eat but just not hungry- weird.

I've ordered the 5mg for next time 😲

Tried using the Voy codes and site crashed repeatedly on payment. After having to go right back to the beginning several times I gave up and ordered via med express for £113

First lot with Zava was £122. I keep seeing £229 etc. Amazing price differences

Fab. Do you have a code for Med express? I am with Voy and not paying crazy price for 2nd pen will cancel.

Hi! I feel I only get the bros when have eaten something fatty or been drinking fizzy juice?

QueenEthelTheMagnificent · 23/07/2024 15:07

Feeling a bit weird today. Woke up and all
morning didn't feel much suppression at all. Stuck to my usual apple for breakfast (thanks to that 'other' side effect!!!). Took kids to a playgroup party and avoided ALL the party food even tho I could've wrestled a 2 yr old for a cheese twist! Made a sandwich with the small slices of white bread (141cals for both slices) & loads of roast beef for protein. Still felt hungry but out of nowhere massive indigestion and feeling sick! I'm wondering if it was the white bread as I've been having brown sandwich thins up until now?

HotCrossBunplease · 23/07/2024 15:17

New user here. Pen arrived today a day earlier than expected. Bit the bullet and injected straight after lunch (it was a reasonably healthy turkey salad sandwich but kind of thought about it like my Last Supper!)

CW 83kg/13 stone
BMI 30.5
GW 68kg/10st 10lb

Waist 94cm (Goal 82cm)

Hoping for a comfortable size 14 dress size by the autumn.

I’ve been advised by doctor to lose weight due to early signs of Fatty liver. (18 months ago 😳)

No idea how this is going to pan out but I’ve listened to reliable info like the Zoe podcast and feel it’s worth a shot (pun intended!).

I am not a particularly unhealthy eater but my downfall is too much bread, cheese, chocolate and red wine. I’ve realised that because I rarely eat bad things in large quantities I am kidding myself that the frequent small doses don’t have an effect.

I haven’t told my husband yet.

We’re off on holiday in about 10 days. It’s a nice all-inclusive. I had toyed with not starting till we got back but there’s always an excuse, isn’t there? And actually, all-inclusive buffets mean I can choose small amounts of healthy stuff so I am going to think of it as my money’s worth in terms of range and variety of choices rather than quantity. I don’t tend to go OTT on the free booze anyway as we have DS (8) to think about.

I guess I might not even feel any effects before we go anyway. Am going to read back through the thread to see how many of you noticed an effect straight away.

I do love food though, I get a lot of pleasure from the taste of delicious things, so am hoping I don’t miss that too much.
(Copied this across from the main July thread as realised dates on this one prob for my situation better).

Welcome! I weigh exactly the same as you & have the same target, I think I am fractionally taller as my BMI is very slightly lower (also a bread, cheese, choc & wine fiend!) I started last week and can honestly say I felt the effects straight away - I weighed this morning (day 6) and lost 2kg. Good luck! X

No code sorry. Might get one once they approve me (if) but none yet

Wishthiswasntmypost · 23/07/2024 16:03

I'm feeling a bit despondent today. I feel bloated and scales were obvs bloated or lying.

Thanks and solidarity! Dropping 2kg just before my holiday would make all the difference to clothes comfort I think, would be amazing!

Have you given up alcohol completely? I feel like I should have no issue with that as a pre-holiday measure anyway.

I’m just under 5 foot 5.

@HotCrossBunplease is it because I am saying jag and not jab 😂

MzHz · 23/07/2024 17:04

MyPearlMentor · 23/07/2024 11:32

@MzHz I think water really helps, I already drink a lot and I don’t have those side effects. I like fizzy water with a dash of apple juice to make it a bit less tedious…. I also do measurements rather than weighing (although you do need to weight weekly for this) as I find it a bit more encouraging!

I lost 1" already - chuffed about that - the scales i got sent with Juniper are not the best, so i have my other dumb ones next to it to check

Exhausted, although not feeling sick - yay! am drinking water and more or less keeping up with it, and it is really helpful, but more than 2L a day is HARD!!

MzHz · 23/07/2024 17:05

I got some ginger cordial from the shop this week - Belvoir or something, it's a bit in your face, but weak and in perhaps sodastream water it might be nice - have a feeling it may benefit from a splash of lime juice or something

HotCrossBunplease · 23/07/2024 17:38

SJLOUNJARO · 23/07/2024 16:45

@HotCrossBunplease is it because I am saying jag and not jab 😂

Correct. I can still remember very clearly how my teacher in Primary 5 put a red line through “jag” in my work and amended it to “jab”. She was English. I had literally never heard the word “jab” in that context before!

(I live in England now but I just say “injection” 😀)

Lemonadeintheshade · 23/07/2024 17:42

Room for another… I did my first jab last night. Feeling surprisingly ok so far. Not hungry at all but I did have a bit of a pre diet blowout yesterday so might be filling full from that! Really need a mind reset, hoping I can use the time I normally spend thinking about food to try and get to the bottom of my awful relationship with food.

I ordered through Voy using somebody on here’s discount code. If anyone is thinking of ordering here’s my code https://joinvoy.com/r/U-MZuNoc5fqU

Welcome! I done the exact same ate enough for a week day of first jag and took it that night! Hope you get on well with it!

walttynutcade · 23/07/2024 18:01

One week down, the day I started I had visitors arrive to stay , all week additional visitors every evening plus big weekend event 😳 diet has not been good however shocked that I have lost 2lb rather than have gained , not felt hungry or any side effects, but have eaten rubbish from tomorrow I am going back to sensible eating

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 23/07/2024 18:09

Second pen sticking to 2.5mg Ordered and through same provider

Those of you that move provider. If you have lost some weight so no longer in obese category do they still accept you?

Bamboozled5 · 23/07/2024 18:26

@MyPearlMentor - thank you.

Symptoms of diarrhoea have improved today with cutting out caffeine and definitely no cheese. I've not eaten much but it's been very bland. Tuna and crackers and a tomato!

There are small help sections on Voy about side effects and you can also WhatsApp a dietitian or arrange a call back from a 'clinician' which is helpful.

Losing an inch already is amazing!! That’s a huge incentive - well done :-)

I’m just over 5,5 :-) Yes, 2kg is enough to stop seams feeling so tight which is a joy. I had 4 drinks last week - 1 x vodka lime & soda and 3 small glasses of wine (150mls). Sounds daft but I went to a charity shop & bought myself a cut glass small wine glass (£1.20) so that I had a “full” glass with my dinner but it was only tiny. If I have booze on any diet (and there have been many!) then I try & exercise back the calories if that makes sense - basically go for 1/2 hour walk to offset the wine. Maybe you can think that way at the lovely all inc - go for a walk on the beach before breakfast or dinner? Nice to have something to look forward to… especially when the weather here’s been so changeable. I love the sun.
