It's in the fridge and I'm going to take the plunge on Monday!
Feeling really nervous about it all. Anyone due to start next week too?

I keep reading that it's not a therapeutic dose but it's definitely doing something for me - and you!

Yes it's really noticeable, no doubt.
I think officially they recommend you go up the doses as quickly as tolerated but I can't see why you'd increase if the effects were good. I'm too scared of the side effects. I guess going up maximises your losses.

Are any of you finding your mood affected? This is my second week (I inject on Sundays) and I'm finding the day after injecting that I feel really really low. It happened the first week and I thought it was coincidence but it's now happened again on the same day in my second week. I suddenly realised today that my low mood probably isn't a coincidence and it's actually a side effect.

Yes I read MJ can make mood low. I expect it will level out as body gets used to it if eating better and lose weight

From what I see you can stay on doses if they are working well enough for you.

Oldfatandfrumpy · 22/07/2024 22:19

Thanks for this, yes that’s it. 60 clicks seems so many! It worked fine this morning

It really does! I was terrified with my first dose that it would take aaages to get it all the way back down!

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 22/07/2024 22:39

Ordered my second pen
After 2nd jab today
Been easier. Managed till 8pm on just a small salmon sandwich and a smoothie plus
Coffees

Dinner was a salad and a glass rose

Didn't succumb to anything sweet after or snacks.

ToriMJ · 22/07/2024 22:49

My stomach settled after lunch. Possibly done me a favour as I'm camping at end of week and could live without poo in the porta loos 😆
I've also ordered my next pen, 2.5 again, I got a discount as someone had used my code for Voy. Thank you Flowers

Should I order a 2nd pen already?

Thinking of changing supplier as Zava's delivery was a bit haphazard to time

Wishthiswasntmypost · 22/07/2024 23:03

Anyone got a code for voy or recommend a supplier

I think they are really good to start with as comes with couching, app and support. Later when more confident I guess price will be the main thing.

There's some rubbish zava reviews on the big MJ thread, arriving warm but no way to prove it.
Depending on who you've used before there's tons of discount codes so prob find some else at a good price.

Hi everyone. I started Mounjaro this week. I was previously taking Wegovy for 13 weeks but got to the point with side effects that I decided to stop. I’ve taken a four week break and have now switched. Will be interesting to see if the side effects are different with Mounjaro. The reason I switched was studies have shown Mounjaro is slightly more effective.

I took my first Mounjaro two nights ago. No side effects so far, but definite appetite suppression already which I was surprised about.

wondabar · 23/07/2024 02:17

I am so happy to have started using Mounjaro. I used ZAVA as they were very reasonably priced. To give you 15% off please use my code REF6MVT9

My very bad diarrhoea continued in the night even though I hadn't eaten anything since lunchtime. I'm wondering if it's a bug instead! Feel ok this morning but afraid to eat anything.

Welcome.
I have heard that mounjaro has less side effects and a bit more weight loss so hopefully you'll find it works better for you.

Mine was just the morning. I did eat a bit higher fat food the day before so maybe related to that. Super clean today as I'm at work and can't risk it!

Well yesterday I ate well, drank a fair amount of water, mowed lawn, heavy digging and shifting earth, food shopped, vacuumed, walked dogs twice incl hills, usual cooking and preparing meals...,didn't stop. I weighed this morning and have gone up 🙄

Undeterred I shall carry on....

Wishthiswasntmypost · 23/07/2024 09:12

I've ordered the 5mg for next time 😲

Tried using the Voy codes and site crashed repeatedly on payment. After having to go right back to the beginning several times I gave up and ordered via med express for £113

First lot with Zava was £122. I keep seeing £229 etc. Amazing price differences

Good morning

day 2 after injection 2 of 2.5 mg (so day 8 in total)

after last week and feeling wonky on the train I was wary of how things would be today and I do definitely feel a bit ick. So I’m taking things slowly

I had half a digestive and a slug of water before going out with the dog for its walk. I felt fine!

i took a laxative last night to help things along a bit this morning and that was a bit of a help, the key is the water, and i was close to the 2L, it needs to be at least that Ideally.

not hungry, have had a boiled egg on toast, my chia pudding and a coffee, both with almond milk.

can’t quite manage the protein yoghurt, so might see if I can manage it mid morning.

stalled on the scales, but I think that’s possibly due to a bit of constipation, so will keep on keeping on and it’ll pass.

im with Juniper and they have a FB support group, what an amazing group of people! Sooo inspiring to see how people have changed themselves and their lives

im so glad to have you all here too, it’s great to be all in this together and navigate this together,

one of the things I saw on FB was that if you weigh yourself frequently and don’t see any change, don’t panic, look at the weight of today and tell yourself ‘worry’ about today in a months time.

I feel that might be helpful 😊 we shall see

SallySunrise · 23/07/2024 10:09

Morning all, has anyone taken their next jab a day early? I had horrible side effects last week so I'm thinking of doing my 2nd today as the kids are with their dad until Thursday tea time.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 23/07/2024 11:12

I watched some u tube videos and some people do this to avoid a date or because the noise comes back too quick. I think as long as not a habit it fine and only one day.

I did it a few times when I was on Wegovy - either a day early or a day late - and it didn’t seem to have any negative effects.

MyPearlMentor · 23/07/2024 11:32

@MzHz I think water really helps, I already drink a lot and I don’t have those side effects. I like fizzy water with a dash of apple juice to make it a bit less tedious…. I also do measurements rather than weighing (although you do need to weight weekly for this) as I find it a bit more encouraging!
