It's in the fridge and I'm going to take the plunge on Monday!
Feeling really nervous about it all. Anyone due to start next week too?

Can I ask if it hurts?

I was so nervous, but honestly couldn't even feel it! I did it in my belly where all the podge is 😂

dogdaydisaster · 21/07/2024 11:21

It really doesn’t hurt at all.

I had a big family event yesterday and decided to use it as a bit of a test event. I had a few drinks. Food was mezze so loads of chicken and lovely salad, borek, halloumi. Was delicious and ate a fair bit but probably less that I would have had, and plenty of protein.

But felt pretty queasy overnight and this morning. Will definitely watch the wine next time! DD graduates on Thursday and we have a hotel and nice meal booked for afterwards, so I’ll see how that goes. I do have loads of events and social things normally so I need to find a way to balance them into my life, have a drink or two some of the time but not every time, and eat the right things- so I need to work out how to do it without beating myself up too much.

ToriMJ · 21/07/2024 12:11

Deffo think it's wearing off today, have just made myself my first coffee all week and eaten based on what I fancy rather than what protein I need. Grin
Second jab tomorrow morning.

I just did my second jab. On the other side of my big fat belly to last week. Much easier now I know what I'm doing.

I weighed myself this morning and I lost 1.6kg in my first week. Despite drinking a LOT of wine on Thurs night and having a 'fried egg butty' for breakfast every morning. The rest of the time I've been mainly eating chicken tempura and fruit. Need to start focussing on my diet more this week and planning a return to the gym but last week was so hectic at work that all I had capacity for was staying sane pretty much.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 21/07/2024 14:22

Had 600 cal so far today. Not at all hungry Can't wait to weigh tomz and get a whole first week figure.

Andywarholswig · 21/07/2024 14:28

On day 6 today, definitely starting to feel
more hungry. I’ve really concentrated on eating well this week and trying to get good nutrition as I need to do this for the long term. Am curious to see the scales tomorow morning.

Thanks to the poster that said about chia pudding for the ole bowels, had chia seeds, natural yogurt and tapered for breakfast and worked like a charm 😂

I didn't have any alcohol last night and didn't feel unwell in the night at all, so I def realised booze is not my friend on MJ. Both previous evenings I'd had two small wines (so nothing really) and felt sick as a dog lol.

Just been to a chill and cheese festival, and apart from a few tasters, I didn't really want anything... wasn't even tempted by the booze as feeling so queasy has put me off. Definitely a bonus as I have a few days away to Morocco with some girlfriends in September and I've been worried about keeping up with them booze wise. If I keep up like this then least I won't be tempted with booze and will be happy to go t-total!

Is anyone else having extreme tiredness as a side effect? I know I'm only 2 days in, but I've just had to have an afternoon nap!

Omg, it's really worn off tonight. After not thinking about food all week I am feeling really impatient for dinner tonight! It was silencing a lot of noise!

Sorry I don't know about that one.
I'm with Voy, great app and counselling etc which I'd recommend. Cheap with discount code but does get more expensive without.

@ToriMJ thank you.
I had a look at the Voy website yesterday but was put off a bit as there were no prices listed.
I’d rather they were more transparent about pricing as it’s a big financial commitment!

Do you have a price list at all as a member? From what I’ve seen with other suppliers the price of the jabs goes up with the increased mg but I’d like to know how much before committing x

The first one with the code is about 114, then it jumps to 229 I think. Most people move around to whoever has the best deal at the time I think.

There's a big mounjaro thread which has a long list of all the prices and companies on here in the main injectables forum

Riddled with heart burn tonight think because dinner was quite rich with the gravy so my own doing. Also very grumpy!

Wishthiswasntmypost · 21/07/2024 21:44

I've not had my best day food wise. Overnight oats (tick) lunch was pitta bread with cheese salad and ham (not bad but not lean) This afternoon went to pot for a variety of reason and I had a mish mash of food and no meal as such. Heartburn tonight probably as a consequence. I also realised my maths is wrong so my 8lb weight loss is actually 6.6lbs... ah well 😁

Proper weigh in tomorrow so hopefully I'll hit the 7 as I'm always lighter first thing

2nd jab tomorrow. Good night losers

The heartburn seems to be the thing that tells me if I've eaten just a smidge too much or too late. Envy
