It's in the fridge and I'm going to take the plunge on Monday!
Feeling really nervous about it all. Anyone due to start next week too?

Food noise definitely building but jab 2 tomorrow

Do we just do the priming thing and then click to 2? Like we did last week?

ACEwards · 22/07/2024 06:52

For those suffering with constipation, I use biomel daily for my IBS and I've had no trouble since my first jab last week. It's a little pricy, but I only take it once a day in the morning rather than twice like they recommend and it lasts a lot longer.

Considering I'm eating half the amount of food I used to, I've been about twice since Thursday (which is normal for me as I'm a once every 4 days kinda gal 🤣)

ToriMJ · 22/07/2024 07:23

Morning.
Week 1 weigh in!
Lost 6lbs and bmi has gone from 35.2 to 34.1 🥰. This for me is huge as generally I'm a very slow loser!

Now about to do injection number 2.
Goals for the weeks
Lots of protein
Lots of water
Food to make me poo

I'm also camping for 4 days so some food challenges likely there!

I don't think you need to prime from what I've heard on here

Morning team, first weigh in and I have lost 4kg, which google tells me is 8.8lbs which is absolutely unbelievable! I’ve been counting calories but more concentrating on eating whole foods and minimising sugar as I’m trying to change my eating habits for good. I’ve eaten really well, the fewest calories I’ve had has been 1400 and the most 2000 but I’ve been out for dinner 5 days last week (not normal!) and where I had a choice went for protein
and veg.

It’s been a real eye opener, I just haven’t thought about food or had that horrible feeling of STARVING when you just need to eat anything at all. I’m definitely hungry this morning but I’ve just done jab 2 and I’m off to walk the dog and will have my breakfast when I get back.

Excellent, what a great week!

Week 1 weigh today and 72.6
Start was 74.9 so that's 2.4kgs or just over 5lb.

I'm a bit frustrated as the last few days I've stayed the same but not eaten nearly as much as I usually do on weekend No alcohol, no massive cakes

But new inj today so hopefully I can loose a few more kgs this week.

Well done all that have started
We can do this.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 22/07/2024 08:07

I'd love to get down to my wedding weight of 10.4

A stone to go!!! Was was borderline obese category so want to get to healthy but not skinny so about 24 bmi. I looked ok at that weight.

Wishthiswasntmypost · 22/07/2024 08:14

Well done Tori, Andy and Beaver. Beaver I wonder if it gets harder as you get closer?

I could have written Andy's post. 4kg on the nose. 2nd jab, no starving, walked the dog!

Wishthiswasntmypost · 22/07/2024 08:16

I tried to prime but the prime thing wasn't there so I pressed on 1...drops came out so I've probably lost some of the dose. Oops

Note to self … eat chia yes, but make sure you drink lots of water.. everything was all tickety boo yesterday so I thought I’d cracked it and may have thought I drank more water than I did. Bunged up today and it’s MJ2 day and I’d have liked to have lost the 1kg I needed to get to milestone 1 today. Oh well… not today.

so. I’ve done dose 2. All went fine.

at least you know it doesn’t hurt!

Remember the priming @Wishthiswasntmypost is only 2 clicks. Check for drops and then keep turning until you get to 1.

you will still have enough MJ in the pen, they put extra in for priming and whatnot.

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesn · 22/07/2024 08:48

Week one done and I've lost 6lb!!!!!

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesn · 22/07/2024 09:02

I've injected again and I now realise that my main pretty immediate symptom is dizziness and a light headed feeling. Hoping it wears of quickly 😵‍💫

I'm day 4 and this is what I'm experiencing. Very difficult as I love the gym but I'm scared to go incase I pass out lol. Not sure how I explain it to my PT 🫣

ToriMJ · 22/07/2024 09:09

Could be low blood sugar?
Have something decent before you stab? Slow release carbs?

Yes, I'll try this next time and maybe try a different injection site as I'm currently doing tummy which is faster absorbing!

Very happy with the results so far though

ToriMJ · 22/07/2024 09:49

Recommendation
Kind protein crunchy peanut butter bars
10g protein and 6g fibre, and tasty! It's mostly nuts tbf but a handy way to get some protein and fibre in a portable form

You prime and then rotate all the way to the number 1 (60 clicks) for the dose again. There isn't a number 2 on the pen

I got that for the first two doses, didn't get for number 3 - not sure if that is because I'm getting used to it, or because I used my thigh instead of my stomach though

The first couple of doses felt like I had just taken some codeine, slightly spaced out and tingly (and oh my god did I sleep well!!)

ToriMJ · 22/07/2024 10:14

Careful what you wish for.
My bum is a bit too busy this morning. Confused

For the first time the scales show an increase this morning. Need to keep my head and stick to the plan and trust the process…..

ToriMJ · 22/07/2024 11:15

Yes, don't let it get in your head!
