@Jfw82 im also going on holiday in about 3 weeks, what are you doing - are you continuing or are you stopping and restarting? I don’t have a choice as I’m doing a road trip and no fridge (also the small matter of me hiding it from everyone..) so I think I’ll have to pause and then restart when I get back

I started today and have read the instructions about 100 times as I was unsure how to store it, but pretty certain it says once opened you do t have to refrigerate... just keep it below 30 degrees

After days of trying to get my prescription approved, it finally arrived today so did it straight away before I worked myself up into a frenzy!

I've been really stressed about potential side effects as everything you read talks about how to manage them, like it's guaranteed you're gonna get unwell - blowing my anxiety through the roof lol!!

It's really interesting to read that people notice a difference right away... I've been so focused on side effects (to the point I think I'm actually creating them in my mind lol), I didn't even consider any benefits straight away x

Day 2 here

Feeling a bit tired but I'm doing intermittent fasting (16:8) so that's probably why.

I had a small fry up for lunch, regretting that. Hours of eggy burps! Haven't really felt hungry since though. I've just eaten some of the kids leftovers instead of making myself something.

Day 5 for me and no real side effects. Scales show a loss of 1.6 kilos. I’ve been having 3 small/medium meals a day and in between haven’t been really thinking about food. I worked late today and a colleague handed me a Cadburys mini roll. It tasted horrible- oily and artificial. Real food at mealtimes has been really enjoyable. And I’ve been sleeping so well!

Eaten well today. All healthy meals. I was hungry at about 5pm but a big salad consumed so I'm fine now. Evenings are a point when I definitely feel chocker in the stomach area and don't want anymore food. Its just habitual snackiness

Week 2 jab for me tomorrow and then weigh on Saturday. I think this week has gone pretty well, no side effects to speak of, definitely feel full a lot of the time, still thinking about food a lot though and had one day of slightly uncontrolled eating, hopefully that will improve.

For those who are aiming for a wider health reset, can I recommend a podcast called High on Life, presented by a Canadian doctor called Sasha High who is a specialist in obesity medicine. I found it by searching for MJ and there is an MJ episode which is interesting, but I've also enjoyed eps about the effect of ageing on women's health and one about the importance of strength training and how to get started.

Feeling hungry tonight and could snack 🫠 end of day 4. Had porridge and protein bar for breakky. Warb thins with chicken for lunch and chicken rice and salad for dinner I would usually eat double the portion going to weigh in morning see if that will motivate me til 2nd jag on Sunday.

I was naughty and had a lot of wine tonight (I had a work function). Usually I would then eat a mountain of junk food when I got home but I just had some toast and a LOT of water. I guess that's progress of sorts.

I am so glad you found the taste of Cadbury not nice - only because I had a square last night and it was disgusting! And I normally live on Chocolate. My husband thought I was crazy!

Yes it’s really strange. I’ve had very good quality brownies in the fridge and had small chunks of these a few times and enjoyed but the mini roll was horrid.

another good sleep for me, so going to get up and do some weight training and a peloton ride before work. Have a good day losers!

Food noise crept in yesterday but seems to have gone again today.

TW 9st 7 (but nutracheck will only let me target to 10st 4 on the app)
A lot of that loss will be water loss though.
I really must do some measurements too.

Oh no. What have you eaten in the day?
I've been avoiding all junk food/processed food and anything high fat as I think that triggers side effects for some. Maybe just go really basic today, chicken/salad/rice etc and see if it settles.
I feel for you though, that's been my big worry x

Weighed again this morning and nothing extra from yesterday. I won't weigh now till Monday. Inj day is
Monday so I'll have to be good over weekend as dh will be home and eats. He is tall and slim so can pretty much eat what he wants 😡 that makes it harder for me.

Went to london last night in a cocktail Mixing event and did drink a fair bit of sugar. The drinks were small but I notice that when I drink high sugar drinks my body piles on weight I had to go as it was a gift and booked ages ago.
I didn't eat a lot at all tho.

I will Avoid high cal drinks while doing this from now on.

First week finished for me!
sw 118.1kg
cw 115.0kg
gw 70kg

really happy with -3.1kg loss.

its been hard to not weigh myself all week, and I hope to move away from obsessive thoughts/ behaviours and just get on with life.

my appetite has massively reduced, I’m just not hungry and feel full a lot of the time.

took kids out boating yesterday and bought ice creams and drinks after and didn’t have anything and didn’t feel like I missed out.

I did have a cheeky hop on the scales and am 4.5 lbs down since Monday which for me is record breaking, I'm a slow loser. I know some of this is water weight.
I'm also drinking loads of water which I'm usually rubbish at but maybe because I'm not really fancying hot drinks which usually I have lots of.

Well done! How much are you wanting to lose? 4.5 lbs is loads. I want to weigh today and keep putting off scared it puts me off my stride if not as expected.
