Weekly weigh-in this morning and I’ve lost another 4.7lbs. That’s 13.1 in the three weeks since I started taking Mounjaro, plus 5lbs the week prior to starting.

BMI: 41.6. > 38.4
Weight: 235lbs > 216.9lbs

Goal weight: 130-140lbs

JessicaPeach · 19/07/2024 09:17

We have similar starting weights @NewoIkkin but I must be taller than you

I started at 239.2 with bmi of 34.3
Now 225 bmi 32.3
Goal weight 163, bmi 23

Good loss! 👍

My weigh in is tomorrow. I have been on and off the scales all week and weight has been fluctuating up and down between a loss of -0.5lbs and -2.0lbs, yesterday it was only a 0.5lbs loss, checked this morning and it was -3.5lbs.

Might be my scales are rubbish, might be because I skipped dinner last night as was in A&E for 6 hours supporting my niece (not waiting, she was getting treatment and now admitted). Hoping loss sticks for tomorrows weigh in!

One thing I have noticed last night is my wide fitting trainers feel looser, and my ankles are nowhere near as swollen, almost normal again!

BemusedBrenda · 19/07/2024 10:28

I've been posting on the July thread as I started three weeks ago today, but I'm really interested to see on this thread the progress some of you are making with more similar weights to me. Thanks everyone for sharing!

I'm 5'10 and starting weight was 221lbs (actually 227 but I started trying to diet before signing up for MJ).

SW: 15st11 (221lbs)
CW: 14st13 (209lbs)

Wk 1: - 7lbs
Wk2: - 2.5lbs
Wk3: - 2.5lbs

Sadly no noticeable difference yet in clothes fitting better, but because I'm tall and tend to put on/lose weight all over my body (not all in one place) I think I need to lose quite a lot to really see it.

I'm looking forward to mini targets so the next one for me will be to get under 200lbs.

NewoIkkin · 19/07/2024 10:29

@JessicaPeach Yes, I’m only 5’3”. Well done on your loss so far!

@WeAllHaveWings I weigh daily too and it’s all over the place throughout the week! I think hormones play a big part.

EternalFatalist · 19/07/2024 11:20

2.5 mg injection Number 3 this morning...weigh-in Number 2...still no issues. Feeling good and looking forward to hopefully a few more lbs off in the next week. Hoping to do a bit more walking and exercise as my work has quieted down slightly.

Start weight: 15 st 8 lbs (BMI = 37.2)
Current weight: 14 st 11 lbs
Goal weight: 9 st 0 lbs (BMI = 21.5)
Week 1 Loss = 6 lbs
Week 2 Loss = 5 lbs

Hi all, this is the end of my 14th week on MJ and I hit 50lbs loss. So halfway for me, as my goal is 187lbs (started at 287lbs). Keep going everyone. Had a stall last week and then a 4lb whoosh today,

JessicaPeach · 19/07/2024 13:20

I'm sitting waiting to get my nails done dreaming of a 50lb loss now!

Just realised I haven’t posted here for ages / I get confused which MJ thread I’ve posted stuff on!!

not much to report, been stuck on the same weight for about a month but have finally managed up to 3.75mg so I’m hoping I might have another wee kick start now that my body has adjusted.

I don’t really calorie count but I think I might to a week of tracking, just to make sure I’m eating the right things and get myself back on track

congrats to all the losses!

CrazyKats · 19/07/2024 12:51

That's very impressive. Well done - what dosage are you on?

Just started on 7.5mg. I did 1 x 2.5mg pen and then 2 x 5mg pen. No tips except I’ve been drinking so much water, focusing on protein and trying to do my 10k steps a day. My mum weighed around the same as me but has only lost half in the same time, I think I’ve been lucky to be a bit of a super responder. Also when the appetite suppression is high I don’t manage more than 1100 calories but then later in the week have more calorific days. I’ve also mostly given up alcohol as have no desire for it.

HanarCantWearSweaters · 19/07/2024 14:52

WoolyMammoth55 · 15/07/2024 17:54

Hi @HanarCantWearSweaters , try again with Voy - I have BED and was honest about it and they approved me back at the end of April. I've got a discount code for £85 off your first pen here if you want it: https://joinvoy.com/r/U-wW0jC2cWdY

Your call if you stay quiet or not - but Voy offer coaching as part of the deal and my coach is aware and has been super helpful with mindset tools for me. Wish you all the best!

Thank you @WoolyMammoth55 , I’ve decided to try with the family chemist as Voy just looks too pricey in the higher doses for me.

First dose will be Sunday night, eek!

That’s amazing @Pops1985 . You must be feeling great. Did your mum do the same dosing schedule as you? Really does show how variable it is isn’t it

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 19/07/2024 20:10

Really struggling to lose more weight over the last few weeks. I hit a brick wall once I got to a 4st loss. I just wish it would start moving again as I still have at least 1.5st to lose just to hit bmi 25.

Yes she is on the same dose as me. She has been struggling with motivation as she has been a serial yo-yo dieter her whole life and usually can lose loads of weight quickly. But I do think her metabolism has maybe slowed down post 60 and the years of yo-yo are having an impact. She is doing really well though and the medication means she doesn’t feel as restricted as normal diets.

Highlandcathedral · 19/07/2024 23:00

I’m checking in here as I’d lost the thread. I’ve been on Ozempic then Mounjaro for just over a year. 25kg down so far. I had a real stall when I swapped to Mounjaro as I went back to 2.5. But now I’m up to 10mg again it has started to shift and I’m down the last couple of weeks. I’m also under 100kg for the first time for many many years (I’m over 60 with a slow metabolism).

A weekend away last week with meals out meant a minimal loss this week but I’m back on it and will lose next week. Waves and good luck to all new starters,we’ve got this and it’s a life changer!

dogdaydisaster · 20/07/2024 08:51

Just finished my first week and down 2.2kg. I’ve felt pretty good all week and eaten a pretty mixed diet without feeling too deprived. So all in all a good start and onto week 2!

mmgirish · 20/07/2024 11:34

Checking in with the new thread! Well done everyone on your losses.

I'm an international school teacher living overseas so had been doing well with my routine but now it's the summer holidays, I've definitely been eating more.

We"ve been away for 2 weeks and did well on holidays but we're back home now staying with my mum it's been harder.

I bought a box of cadburys chocolate fingers and ate the whole box! I haven't done anything like that since starting ozempic but perhaps that's because I didn't have the opportunity to eat junk food I really like...

Back on the bandwagon again today.

SW - 95.9
CW - 86.1
GW - 64

CatTraveler · 20/07/2024 12:22

I weighted in this morning (did my second doze yesterday morning but wasnt at home so couldnt weigh)

SW - 134.7 kg (BMI 49.5)
CW - 130.4kg
GW - 80kg (BMI 29.4)

Loss 4.3kg (3.2% of SW)

Know it wont be as fast as that every week but its a step in the right direction...

WeAllHaveWings · 20/07/2024 13:34

Saturday morning weigh in. Happy with slow and steady but a nice 4lb loss this week. And at BMI 39.9 I am now no longer "Morbidly Obese", just "Severely Obese" 🙈

SW: 21st 3lbs
CW: 19st 13lbs
Weekly losses: 10, 2, 2, 4 = Total loss: 18lbs

Now to try to squeeze a 5th dose out of Pen 1!

WeAllHaveWings · 20/07/2024 14:02

Did the 5th dose. Needed pliers as it was tight turning all the way up to 1. It didn't click when turning.

Managed to push the dose knob from 1 back down to nearly 0, the plunger was then fully extended in the cartridge so it couldn't go any further. When I removed it was around 6 marks from 0 so reckon I got a 2.25mg dose this week.

I could perhaps draw the last dregs out of the cartridge with the insulin syringes I have but I don't think 0.25mg (got 9/10ths of the full dose..) will make that much difference and I'd rather not try the syringes if I don't have to yet.

KeepingUndercover · 20/07/2024 15:08

I've never tried to get that tiny bit out either, seems way too much hassle. Well done on your loss @WeAllHaveWings, that's great.

And well done to everyone else reporting losses.
