Some providers do remind you to reorder. MedExpress always contacted me, but Bolt haven't. I usually reorder after my third dose, but sometimes I wait a bit longer if I'm not sure what I want to do. I wouldn't want to leave it right until the end of the pen in case of delivery delays.

@VelociraptorsVelociRapping well done on the loss and being so close to under 35 on BMI. You made me go and double check my BMI after this week's loss and I'm just under 35 now. It was 44 when I started!

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 31/07/2024 11:25

Well done @KeepingUndercover and congratulations on being 'only' obese!

thanks @KeepingUndercover & congratulations on your marvellous descent into "obesity"

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 31/07/2024 11:51

Congratulations @VelociraptorsVelociRapping and @KeepingUndercover . Fantastic losses and resultant BMIs.
I am chuffed this morning to have hit 3stone loss. Done it in 11.5 weeks so really pleased. Have a long way to go so calling it a good start. Never lost this easily before and only been on 5 mg for 3 weeks.

RobinEllacotStrike · 31/07/2024 13:16

that is fantastic loss @CrystaltipsnoAlistair
Did you do 2 months on 2.5? And if so what made you decide to do that?
I'll be ordering my 2nd pen next week and I'm wondering if I should stay on 2.5 or go up to 5.

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 31/07/2024 15:39

Thanks @RobinEllacotStrike I did 5 weeks on 2.5mg then 3 weeks at 3.5, 1 at 4mg and then onto 5mg. I was fine at 2.5mg but starting to get really hungry toward last couple of days before jab. I was scared to do full jump up to 5mg from 2.5 but turned out it went fine going up in stages. It is a change though and I get nauseous most mornings for about an hour when I wake up. Am okay after that and no food noise. Just did what seemed to work best listening to my body’s reaction to dosage. I just counted clicks on the pens. You have to do what you think best. How have you been on 2.5 ?

RobinEllacotStrike · 31/07/2024 15:57

thanks for sharing that.
I am absolutely fine on 2.5 - no side efftects from 2 doses apart from being a bit tired in the afternoons.

Just figureing out what to do next - I think going up to 5 is recommended.

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 31/07/2024 19:06

How much suppression are you getting @RobinEllacotStrike with 2.5 ? If it is working for you well you can stay at 2.5 or move up. I have a long Mj journey so don’t want to rocket up doses and have no where to go.

CatTraveler · 02/08/2024 07:58

Week 3 done

SW - 134.7 kg (BMI 49.5)
CW - 129.2kg (BMI 47.5)
GW - 80kg (BMI 29.4)

Loss 5.5kg (4.1% of SW)

NewoIkkin · 02/08/2024 08:28

Week 5 done and another 2.7lbs lost. Weight loss is definitely slowing down but I suppose that’s to be expected. On the plus side, this week I hit the milestones of 10kg lost, and also 10% of my starting body weight lost. I also took my first 5mg which I was quite worried about, but it’s been absolutely fine! Only about 76lbs to go…

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 02/08/2024 10:30

Well done @CatTraveler and @NewoIkkin . Great steady losses.

Chipping in - just placed my order for a first pen with ASDA now. Looking to lose around 4.5 stone. So grateful for the threads here, especially what folks are eating each day. Slightly scared about side effects etc but got MFP installed to track protein, calories etc so hopefully can keep energy levels up.

EternalFatalist · 02/08/2024 19:25

Happy Friday! Injection Number 5 this morning - I used my bonus dose and made it 3.75mg in advance of next week's move to 5mg. Weigh-in Number 4:

Start weight: 15 st 8 lbs (BMI = 37.2)
Current weight: 14 st 8 lbs
Goal weight: 9 st 0 lbs (BMI = 21.5)
Week 1 Loss = 6 lbs
Week 2 Loss = 5 lbs
Week 3 Loss = 3 lbs
Week 4 Loss = 0 lbs

I was hoping for a 1lb or 2lb loss this week as I have been good with my food and water intake. But the heat is killing me and I feel like a bloated pufferfish!. Even my wrists are swollen Perhaps there will be a whoosh over the weekend when it cools down.

RamblingFar · 03/08/2024 00:19

Hi, I started MJ last week, did my second injection today.

Was struggling to eat much Sunday-Tuesday, but was really hungry last night. Was hoping to get some more exercise started to get in a better routine before the end of the holidays, but my stomach's been quite unsettled so far. I've got family visiting later this week, and lots of meals out, so hopefully that will go OK.

Starting weight: 18st 7.75lb
Current weight: 17st 13.75lb
Goal weight: 10st 0lbs
Week 1 loss: 8lb

Eminybob · 03/08/2024 08:36

I've hit another milestone. A total of 3 stone lost 🥳

I've never list more than 2 stone in one go before so this feels like a massive achievement. And I still feel like I have it in me to keep going (which I never do after 2 stone)

SW 25th April 15st 11lb
CW 12st 10.4lb

Starting BMI 37.9
Current BMI 30.6

So close to leaving the obese category.

My original GW was 12st but in order to be in the normal BMI range I'd need to get to 10st 5. Will see how I feel when I get to 12.

NSV is just the extra confidence I have. I'm no longer avoiding mirrors or photos. It's life changing.
Plus I've been able to wear my engagement ring again for the first time in years as it was too tight.

Feeling pretty damn good today 😊

3wDavid · 03/08/2024 11:21

Can I join please?

I’ve been on MJ since the end of May.

I’ve done 5 weeks on 2.5 mg, 4 weeks on 3.75 mg and planning to move up to 5 mg next week.

Because I have SO much to lose (40 kg) I’ve set myself multiple goals, as just setting the big final goal felt insane and unreachable. Smaller goals makes it feel somewhat more possible.

SW: 107.2 kg
CW: 91.5 kg
GW1: 90 kg
GW2: 85 kg (moving from Obese to Overweight)
GW3: 80 kg
GW4: 75 kg
GW5: 72 kg (moving from Overweight to Healthy)
GW6: 67 kg

Total to lose: 40 kg
Total lost so far: 15.7 kg
Total to go: 24.3 kg

WeAllHaveWings · 03/08/2024 13:53

Weigh-in/injection day for me!

6 weeks in, current dose is 3.75mg - I was impatient and pre-weighed yesterday morning and it was only a 1lb-ish loss this week, but another 2lb seems to have evaporated overnight meaning a nice 3lb loss after last weeks slower 1lb.

SW 21st 5lbs, BMI 42.8
CW 19st 11lbs, BMI 39.9
Weekly Loses - 10,2,2,4,1,3
Total Loss - 22lbs, 7%

So happy with progress so far 😁 and other than slight constipation/feeling backed up, which seems to be improving, side effects have been minor for me (so far).

NSV - Noticing my jeans (which were very tight, I was in denial about going up another size) are looser in the bum and hips, still uncomfortable across tummy but not having to unbutton after dinner at night! Bra band and shoulder straps are having to be tightened up as the cups are not as full!

I'll bore you all with (one of) my pretty excel graph(s). It's really motivating to think 17st (BMI 34.1 and >4st, 20% loss) could be achievable by Christmas with an average 2lb a week loss!

Incase you missed it, someone posted this in the main MJ thread, worth a watch if you have been concerned about the negative GMB, Macy Gray news stories. It has convinced me again, as long as I don't do anything silly with this prescribed medication, I am on the right path to better health.

I've read over everyone's posts and weigh-ins over the last few days and you are all nailing it! I am so proud of myself and all of you should be proud of yourselves too! 💪

That is a fab graph WeAllHaveWings

PrincessPeache · 04/08/2024 10:05

I woke up this morning 33.2lbs (15kg!) lighter than I was at the end of June 🥹

Tirzepatide · 04/08/2024 11:07

Impressive graphs and weight loss @WeAllHaveWings & @PrincessPeache !!

My graph is much more basic!

I had bad sulphur burps again (only had them once before). I think I have over-shot my optimum dose, as I think suppression is too high too. I did 2.5 (x4), 3.2, 4.2 (x2) and then this week 4.6 mg. I'll try going back to 4.2 mg next week I think.

I'm starting to really think about what my other goals are to work on along-side the weight loss (which for the most part is ticking along nicely) - I need to get started! Things like introducing weights, being more consistent with facial routines, doing more housework (exercise and a much nicer home!) and many more. I guess baby-steps in each area...

Anyone else working on other goals alongside too?

Loving the downward trending graphs ❤️

Goals…….Housework has also been on my mind too. I am really struggling with it and been quite down/embarassed about the house, dh does the harder bits but not to a decent standard. Looking forward to being able to clean without getting out of breath, sore back and yes it is exercise!

We lost our old dog last year, would love another, but we are not fit enough to give a puppy the attention/training it needs. Maybe next summer (or the one after). I struggle to go for a walk myself without a reason, I feel very self conscious doing it while this weight.

Could I lose enough to get off my high blood pressure meds and prescription omezaprole for acid reflux?

Being able to buy clothes from somewhere other than “fat” online shops.

How to get there?

MJ
Overhaul diet (looking at Mediterranean diets just now for ideas)
Exercise - I need to start but know need to be careful too! I am stuck in a chair 8-10hrs a day working. I did a 15min ChatGPT created strength training session (5 sessions concentrating on different areas each day, suitable for a 20st, 55 year old, female beginner) on Friday holding bottles of water, going to try to do one every weekday lunch next week, I have plans for walking with SIL 1-2 evenings a week but life has gotten in the way and we haven’t started yet.

CrazyKats · 04/08/2024 13:34

I am approaching the end of my fourth week on 2.5mg and I have lost almost 7.8kg.

SW 109.6 / 17.2 stone
CW 101.8 / 16.03 stone

I can feel that the suppression has built although I did lose a bit of control before my period and craved carbs. Had a Turkish meal out which did not agree with me at all this week and left me feeling quietly the whole of the next day. Hoping to hit double digits within the next fortnight 🤗

Looking forward to starting to incorporate exercise back in, much easier now I weigh a stone less, less puffing and less of me to haul around! Fitted in a couple of long 5 mile walks over the past week. I can feel the plantar issues subsiding with the weight loss 🥳 - bra fits better too 🍈🍈

I am going to click count after the bonus dose from the 2.5mg pen. I have decided to split the difference and go up to 3.75 before the full 5 as I am worried about the suppressions completely eliminating and food desires. Although I think I'm a bit traumatized by the Turkish after effects!

This is super well done

Tirzepatide · 04/08/2024 17:42

That's amazing @CrazyKats in four weeks! We had exactly the same starting weight (109.6 kg) and today I WI at 101.7 kg. The difference is it has taken me just over 7 weeks.

I like your goals @WeAllHaveWings . Getting going with the housework again is my major goal at the moment - I've got so lazy! I'm a teacher so I've got another 4 weeks off work (and DC all young adults now so plenty of time) - I will be so annoyed with myself if I don't get a grip and get going with this soon. Small goals I think, in small bouts! I wanted to deep clean the whole house...

I rarely eat carbs due to my husband's medical needs. I just do protein and veg or salad and nuts. I go high fat low carb for maximum enjoyment so don't feel I have missed out at all. The last time I was this weight was June last year after 3 months of fast 800 and lots of body pump. If I do have carbs now it's a minute portion. Somewhat worried about hair loss so really focus on protein. Had a hard time after both births but luckily have a decent amount to begin with.
