That's good to know. How many days between your doses? I'm going away for 2 weeks and planning on doing a lower dose just before I go, and then when I get back. I will have 15 days between doses and wondering if I will have to start again. Only on 0.75 at the moment

15 days. I actually restarted on a slightly higher dose. I've had some nausea and tiredness but nothing bad. I am off work for a few more days so was able to chance it.

UnicornAndSparkles · 02/06/2024 12:56

End of week 10 check in and I'm down 0.8lb this week. Not much but I have been constipated and not "gone" for 4 days 🥴 so hopefully may be a bit less tomorrow.

But I reached my 1 stone loss!

SW 205 lb
CW 191 lb
GW 177 lb (another stone) by 28 July (holiday)

The last time I was 191lb was May 2023. I've been steadily gaining around 1lb a month, if not slightly more, before I started on wegovy, so this loss feels big to me.

Final goal weight would be 12 stone / 168lb , which is pre-2-babies weight of 2017.

DontLookBakk · 02/06/2024 16:09

I went to see the orthopaedic consultant last Thursday and my BMI has reduced by 6 points since they saw me in November. But even better than that (for me) the acute and intense pain that I had in my knee has now subsided to such an extent that I’ve not been listed for a knee replacement. Admittedly I did also have a steroid injection in November but I’m 100% sure that losing 3 stone has massively helped.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still classed as obese and so there’s still more (another 3 stone I think will be right for me) that I need to lose. I do still need a knee replacement (old injury plus osteoarthritis ). But not having to have major surgery in the next few months and perhaps even years is a real win. The longer I can put it off the better so that I don’t need another one in 20/25 years time.

The consultant was really complementary and I did say I was taking Wegovy and he said he wished he was able to prescribe it and hopes in the future he can. But honestly I’m delighted that (fingers and toes crossed, touch wood) that I’m pain free and that’s thanks to Wegovy.

I’m still suffering side effects (if suffering is the right word) of low blood pressure and at times nausea and haven’t yet got even to being able to tolerate the 1mg dose. But as we keep saying if the dose you’re taking is working then there’s no need to increase.

starlilly88 · 02/06/2024 21:21

That's great news, for you and your news. I am hyper mobile and have various joint pains, including my knees. I've noticed a big difference since I've lost 2 stone. My knees do not hurt anymore, although still creaking! I did read that each lb of weight adds 4lbs of pressure to your knees. So you've taken off 12 stone of pressure!

starlilly88 · 02/06/2024 21:22

*Knees, not news!

fiddlesticksohyeah · 02/06/2024 22:47

Anyone buying 2.4mg below £255?

So expensive when you reach the top dose Confused

UnicornAndSparkles · 03/06/2024 06:18

@fiddlesticksohyeah voy is cheaper if you use a referral code. I was shopping around between doses but it gave me 50% off using someone else's code so I gave it a go. I'll be using it for my next dose too. Here's my referral if you'd like it. It says £80 off at the moment https://joinvoy.com/r/U-OOQxHi6OhC it's a subscription but you can pause, delay or cancel at any time.

@DontLookBakk thars brilliant news re your knees. It must be so nice not to be in such bad pain. It’s also nice to hear a dr being so complimentary about wegovy. I keep reading/seeing things where people really don’t think weight loss drugs are good….. I think they have the capability to change people’s lives… I know it’s changed mine…!

anoldcharter · 03/06/2024 11:41

morning all, some fantastic losses reported, well done :)

I'm back from birthday celebrations and holiday, weighed today and its a 3lb gain which is pretty good all things considered.... I am going to inject 0.25 later today, to be honest I am feeling pretty hesitant about it as I am now starting to feel 'normal' again, no more feeling nauseous and tired on wegovy. But I still have a good 20lbs to go to GW so I will restart and see how I get on.

Can anyone remind me where they got their extra needles from?

Lovesthebeach · 03/06/2024 16:49

@anoldcharter i just got a box from amazon. As long as they’re the 4mm insulin needles I think you’re fine?

fiddlesticksohyeah · 04/06/2024 20:25

As good has this has been for wright loss, I'm nearly at goal weight, but I'll be glad to get off it and away from feeling low and relentless tiredness. If they could eliminate more of these side effects then it would be great

PrimalLass · 04/06/2024 21:13

I've really had very few side effects other than mildly blunted hunger. I'm still only on 0.5 twice a week though.

DamnItBetsy · 05/06/2024 22:09

Weirdly, I was finding my appetite pretty blunted on 0.5mg, and was feeling tired and nauseous quite a bit too. I was wary of going to 1mg so did 0.7mg instead, but this week feel hungry, can eat loads more, and have fewer side effects.

There really is no rhyme nor reason to this is there?!

HostessTrolley · 06/06/2024 11:39

End of week 3 and I've lost 3.6kg/8lb in total. I actually feel as though I've lost more, I'm far less creaky in the mornings!

We've been out to eat twice over the last week, I've just wanted to eat less but have still enjoyed my food.

4th dose of 0.25 taken today. I'm thinking about staying on 0.25 for a further 4 weeks, partly because we're going on holiday for a fortnight in a couple of weeks time, and partly because I'm losing weight at a steady pace and having no side effects to speak of. I'll make the decision when I see what my weight does next week. I don't want to stop the wegovy for my holiday, but equally I don't want to increase and risk side effects ruining my holiday!

SW 252
CW 244 (3 weeks)
GW 227 (-10%)

AhBiscuits · 07/06/2024 06:04

Well done @HostessTrolley , that's a good steady loss.

Week 30
SW: 13st 7.8
CW: 10st 7.8
GW: 10st 5
Lost: 42lbs
To go: 2.8lbs

I've weaned down from 1mg and been on 0.25 for the last 3 weeks. I had 12 clicks left in my pen, so probably about 0.18mg, and I took those on Monday. No plans to buy any more.

I've lost 1lb this week which brings me to a nice neat 3 stone lost. I've been waiting for a raging hunger to kick in, it hasn't yet. I'm still eating much the same as I have been over the last 6 months and finding that easy. Long may that continue. As I'm not on Wegovy anymore I'll leave you guys to it and shift to the Moving on From Wegovy thread.

Good luck everyone, I hope you all achieve your goals.

AhBiscuits · 07/06/2024 07:50

Well done @DamnItBetsy , so close to a stone!!

OP posts:
anoldcharter · 07/06/2024 08:25

congratulations @AhBiscuits and good luck with maintaining :)
well done @DamnItBetsy and @HostessTrolley great losses

I came back from holiday and took 0.25mg, I haven't felt anything in terms of hunger suppression so going to take another dose today although still apprehensive of feeling awful again, but need to get back into it

StaySpicy · 07/06/2024 10:06

@AhBiscuits - best wishes for everything. I read all of the previous threads and have essentially followed your journey from the beginning!
