I've been on 1.7 for the last 2 weeks but have felt sick as a dog on it, think I said in last post that its my birthday next wed and then off on holiday the week after so today I am planning just one more jab (going for 1mg dose) until I get back from holiday at the end of the month - I really don't want to feel so ill abroad.

Hopefully when I get back I will be okay after a week's break, but probably start with a 0.50 dose and see how I get on.

Anyone else had a break and found it okay?

My start weight, current weight and target are all similar to yours.

I am going on holiday in a few months and am also wondering if I can take a break for 2 weeks and then get back to it, or if I'll need a smaller dose to start back up. Just started on 1.7. Don't want to take the pen with me, and I would also like to let loose a little bit.

Yesterday was rough, sick multiple times. Including just after getting off the tube. So embarrassing.
Will go back down to .5 next week and stay there until my holiday.

Yay for all the big birthdays, and big birthday plans.

I've been on Wegovy 8 months and now at my goal weight - been at goal for the last 6 weeks or so. I had some doses left so have been having 0.5mg every 10 days or so to help with my appetite. I can feel the sugar cravings coming back though I have joined the gym and started exercising 3 times per week with a combination of weights and cardio. I am trying to eat healthy but also allow myself the odd treat as this is something I want to do to try and maintain my weight.

Has anyone else got to goal and how was coming off the Wegovy completely?

I am weighing myself every few days to keep me in check as terrified of creeping up. I hover around the same 3lbs up or down around my goal.

congrats on getting to goal @sillysausage92 that must feel amazing.... i think there are a few who might also be in your position who are or have started a maintenance thread @AhBiscuits might be able to help?

ha ha @AllBlackEverything just wondered how you feel about your goal weight as technically we will still be classed as overweight at 170lbs and 26.5 according to the BMI calculator, so I think 155lbs is at top end of normal range? I can't imagine getting to that weight at all? 😱

Almost at the end of week 7, haven't weighed since the end of week 6.

I think my overall goal weight is 168lb / 12 stone. Yes it's in the "overweight" BMI but BMI isn't very accurate and I know at 12 stone I am comfortable in my skin. Last weighed 12 stone in 2019! I'm only continuing for another couple of months though so realistically I'd be happy with another 10lb off in that time.

You are right about BMI and I feel the same, 12 stone would be fantastic and hopefully sustainable (I have been 12 stones for a long period of time but many moons ago)

I'm not quite at goal yet but close. I'm currently tapering off. I injected 0.5 on Monday and will do 3 weeks of 0.25 before finishing completely. I don't look forward to the return of hunger but I'm prepared for it and ready to stop. I'm in a good routine of diet and exercise now so I'm hoping I can just continue.

I thought I'd be happy at a size 16 so I could just shop normally again but actually as I've come down and met that goal it made me a realise it's not enough. I want to be slim rather than 'only a bit pudgy' and I want to be genuinely healthy and strong! So while I'm still losing I'm now focussing on toning up and increasing my fitness as a goal so I can really enjoy exercise and more easily live a healthy lifestyle.

I think that’s the secret Flatleak. I had no real motivation to exercise because I thought “well the diet’s not going to work anyway so whats the point?”. Now that I’m hoping Oz will bring me down to a healthy weight I’ve started weights. The more muscle I can build on the journey downwards, the higher my base calorie burn will be which - as long as I keep up the regular weights class - should stave off the worst of any weight gain when I taper down to a stop.

My goal is still classed as overweight, it's a way off yet. I can't imagine being a healthy weight.

I am feeling better today thanks. Bit scared to eat to be honest.

Again, I didn't notice a difference in how I feel even though I reduced to 0.5. Maybe I can eat a little more, I haven't though. Down to 0.25 this week.

That's amazing!! You must feel very proud! Do you track calories in what you eat? What exercise are you doing?

After a rocky start I'm into the swing of things. Recording my calories every day and have started jogging three times a week.

Have lost a stone exactly since starting wegovy. Currently in week 11 so slow but steady progress but now at a weight I've not seen in years.

On 1.0 at the moment and have another 1.0 pen in the fridge so not planning to increase to 1.7 unless I feel I need to.

Current: 13st 4.6
Goal: 11st 10
