I have decided to start with Mourjano. Have put an order in with Asda and should hopefully be delivered soon!

Anyone else going to give Mourjano a go?

Hi all, I’m a newbie here. I ordered via Pharmacy2u on Friday and it arrived yesterday. I took it straight away.

Side effects so far. Tiredness. And I wouldn’t have eaten breakfast only the kids made pancakes for Mother’s Day. I’m normally scoffing down sugary food by now and only ate to show appreciation, not because of hunger which is unheard of for me.

Im 5ft3 and 13 stone 3lbs. Perimenopausal and a binge eater. Have struggled with weight for the past 20 years now. I tried saxenda and the side effects were so bad I put on weight. Hoping this will be different. Good luck everyone.

Lord! The constipation!

Scalessayeek · 10/03/2024 12:10

What needles has everyone got to try and get the last bit out? I've looked and i think someone on Reddit managed to get about 0.5ml out.

Is this extra bit to the four doses or are one of the doses short?

Scalessayeek · 10/03/2024 12:31

@zaffa the extra bit in the bottom

flouncymcflouncerson · 10/03/2024 13:30

Thanks guys. I guess with the others I had a massive reduction in appetite quickly so I hoped for the same.

This morning I had a banana and two walnut whips cos I got some for Mother’s Day and I have such a sweet tooth. I could easily eat more of them! Trying my hardest to ignore them!

FlappyFish · 10/03/2024 15:22

Hi all. The neeedle extraction is done.

I’ve got an extra 0.6ml out of the pen. It is overfilled, I think we all realised that. There is easily another week’s dose.

Yes, it is the extra bit at the bottom.

It was these needles I got. You just have to go through the seal to extract. Really easy.

It’s definitely suppressing my appetite.

I had a roast dinner at lunch and couldn’t finish the potatoes (only 2 roasters, gave my husband one) I’d usually have dessert too! Not had anything else today and still feel stuffed.

spamm · 10/03/2024 16:46

The 7.5 is definitely having an effect - I am vaguely nauseous in the morning when I wake up. And I am feeling appetite suppression.

Yesterday I only had about 750 calories, which is not me. I still have "food noise", that has not gone away, but I have so much more willpower. I am really trying not to do daily weigh ins, but I have already lost weight over the weekend, although I definitely fluctuate with a general downward trend. The issue is whether I can find any more 7.5 for my next month.

That's great that you got that much out! It's so much that could have been wasted! Did you inject some of it? Or saving for next week? I'll probably double my dose when I get to 4th dose.

Also the ones I ordered look the same but didn't come with wipes and were more expensive! Amazon is so annoying! 😂

Are you on the 7.5mg pen?

@ObsidianTree
Yes - I am in the US, so slightly ahead of you. I started on 12 January.

Ah yes I remember now! It's hard finding old posts on the thread!

How much have you lost up to now?

OP posts:
spamm · 10/03/2024 17:21

@ObsidianTree - no big week one for me, so total of 12 lbs in 8 weeks. My Dr prescribed Mounjaro because of my type 2 diabetes, but I have plenty of weight to lose. I have new tests in mid April to find out what effect it has had on my blood sugars, which were very high in early January.

Hope the weight goes faster now that you're on a higher dose :)

How are we all feeling about the emotional side of this?

There is a lot going on with this for me, and I figure it could be the same for others.

I need to work out calories per day, what a balanced diet looks like and how to exercise whilst still feeling so tired. And how to not eat cake when it's in the house just because it's there and I feel like I am missing out if I don't eat it.

monicagellerbing · 10/03/2024 17:59

@spamm does the NHS have supplies? I'm currently taking Rybelsus as I have T2D but it's not working for me, hoping to switch to M if they have supplies?

Choux · 10/03/2024 18:27

@FlappyFish thanks for the syringe info.

I think I want to go up to 5mg as soon as I can but I might save the last dose of my 2.5mg and add it to my last dose of 5mg to make my first dose of 7.5mg. Or does that sound like a bad idea? (I did a quick Google earlier and on Reddit people are doing all sorts eg buying a 15mg pen and then using syringes and something called bac water to get 10 x 7.5mg doses out of it. So now using the '5th' dose suddenly seems normal!)

Thanks. I've got some similar on order :)

FlappyFish · 10/03/2024 18:47

@ObsidianTree amazon really is annoying. I filtered by prime and then cost. I was against the order within x time for delivery tomorrow.

I injected the additional 0.1. The 0.5 I have stored in the fridge. It was a bit more intimidating as the needle is much longer than the ones that came with the pen and I had to grit my teeth and give it a good stab. I’m due to start 5mg on Friday and I will probably delay that or take it on Wednesday. It’s 4 days before period. (I have a silly short cycle). I started MJ the day before period due date last time. I always gain water weight. I don’t have the normal carb cravings at all.

ObsidianTree · 10/03/2024 18:58

@FlappyFish yes I'm scared to inject with that needle but will definitely do it! Can't believe it's given an extra 6mg! Imagine throwing that away!

I'm all for squeezing another dose out of a pen but all that stuff with the bac water is a bit bonkers!

FlappyFish · 10/03/2024 19:08

I just wrote the longest post on the emotional side and lost it. ARGH. @ChristmasLightsLover

I can’t face typing it out again at the moment. I will do tomorrow as I have so much to say on the emotional and psychological side of this. The food is literally 1% of it. I have over 40 years of diet and food head fuckery to work through. I don’t want cake or any food really. My brain is turned off to it. It doesn’t even appear as an option in my head. It’s bizarre.

FlappyFish · 10/03/2024 19:09

Yeah I’m not going to add water or anything. I’ve factored how much this will cost and whilst I absolutely think we should get that final dose out of the pens I’m not about to start a potions class with Snape and mess around with it in that way.
