I have decided to start with Mourjano. Have put an order in with Asda and should hopefully be delivered soon!

Anyone else going to give Mourjano a go?

Thanks @PissedOffNeighbour22
I definitely didn't turn it far enough to '1' oh well, I'll do it properly next time. What a wally. It seemed too far around at the time.

Did you turn it at least half way?

If you got more than 4 needles in the pack, maybe take another dose or half dose?

Hi, anyone who's ordered the 2.5 with asda and have ordered the 5.0, did you just reorder and choose higher doseage or did you have to start again from scratch and fill in the questionnaire etc over again?

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 04/03/2024 22:09

@ObsidianTree yes I think it was the halfway mark. I think I confused the first instruction setting with the second.

First weight in and down 1.7kg. I did my order through Asda but was thinking of changing to Bolt if it's cheaper, has anyone else changed provider?

I started mounjaro 2.5mg with bolt for £159 but I do remember seeing in their consultation form that if you are changing providers, you have to "provide evidence" of your previous mounjaro supply.

RunningAndSinging · 05/03/2024 06:56

First week weigh in here and I have gained a little. The general trend is closer a maintain than I have had in the last 2 months or so which I am taking as a positive. I am not feeling any side effects or appetite suppression but perhaps I am finding it easier not to binge on the sweet things. I am going to have to be patient until I can increase the dose.

So many people seem to be losing 9lb in the first week on here. That’s not me at all.

PonyPals · 05/03/2024 07:19

Glad to have found this thread.
I am a bit ahead of you as I started in October. i was on 2.5mg for 10 weeks and then moved onto 5mg.
it has been a total miracle for me. down 23kg so far!

April88 · 05/03/2024 07:56

First week and 2lb down, no real side effects. I did feel like eating less the first few days but feel like it’s worn off now.

I wasn’t expecting a huge loss as I’d lost 24lb this year already.

Buffypaws · 05/03/2024 08:25

Started Mounjaro 2.5 yesterday after final Wegovy 1.7 last week.

could definitely eat 😭

having some quite significant stomach problems albeit was having these last week also

PeachPoster · 05/03/2024 08:53

Starting third week and weigh in was 2 lbs this week which is good, but all the sweet cravings came back with a vengeance this week and I've eaten a lot of crap. I'm hoping it's because I've had a lot of work stress but I definitely think I need to try the next dose up.

That sounds good to me and I think you are right-everyone has a different reaction to this drug and we just have to be patient-which can be hard when the scale isn't shifting in the way we'd like-keep going!!!

That's fantastic!! Did you notice much of a shift in your hunger when you increased your dose?

EsotericMnemonic · 05/03/2024 09:16

Hi. Been following this thread for a while, great to see how effective Mounjaro has been for lots of you. Took my first 2.5 mg dose on Saturday night, didn’t feel too bad on Sunday, but since Sunday night I’ve had awful nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Can anyone who experienced these side effects tell me how long they lasted for? Thanks

You have to complete the entire questionnaire again and at the end it gives you the option to select the next dose up, as long as they have it in stock.

FlappyFish · 05/03/2024 10:26

Feeling very odd and confused mentally if I’m honest. I have no appetite, but I know I should eat. However I am getting number obsessed. I weigh daily and have for years. It’s the one thing that probably stopped me getting bigger. However, now I’m getting really frustrated with seeing the scales go up and down each morning. This morning I was 13.8. It’s not physically possible for me to be gaining based on what I’m eating. Yes, water weighs a pound a pint.

I guess the golden honeymoon phase is over.

KateS12 · 05/03/2024 11:00

Hello!
So my first dose is arriving today, woop 😊, and my question is should I take it this evening as I’m WFH tomorrow but back in the office on Thurs or should I wait until Thurs evening as I’m WFH on Fri and then I’ll have three days just in case I get any side effects?

I’m impatient to get started but I need to be sensible 😂

Also just wanted to add that this is such a lovely and supportive thread, so nice to see!

FlappyFish · 05/03/2024 11:20

@KateS12 I wasn’t able to resist so took it when it arrived. The effect on appetite was pretty instant for me. I didn’t have any side effects to be honest.

ObsidianTree · 05/03/2024 11:21

@KateS12 I would go for it tonight. So far I think the side effects have been mild mostly for a large number of people on here. So if you are working from home tomorrow then I'd said that's probably enough time in case you had some side effects. But it's entirely up to you. Good luck :)

It's pretty much torture weighing every day! But I do it too 🤣 I know I have given up diets before because im not losing. I've also awarded myself with treats when I have had a good loss! So really I know I shouldn't weigh myself daily!

I felt like I had a good day yesterday food wise. Ate less calories and didn't feel hungry etc. So though this morning would be a nice loss...but I stayed the same! So I really need to step away and just let it happen in it's own time! So maybe try and not weight daily for a week and see if you feel better mentally? If you aren't eating much then you will lose. It's just not showing yet on scales etc. I will also not weigh anymore this week as I need to break this habit also!

I had diarrhea the first dose but no vomiting etc, but was quite constipated before so that might have been because of that! The diarrhea was one bout then I was fine. If the symptoms don't get better maybe ask your provider for advise? Asda has Drs you can message and ask questions etc.

Hi, I would take it this evening as you are WFH tomorrow. And at least tomorrow you can monitor any side effects that may arise. I started on Sunday and had slight tummy discomfort that night and extreme thirst but other than that nothing.

Thank you for your kind post. I find I weigh constantly and it’s not healthy. I know it’s not.

Mortigua · 05/03/2024 13:33

joining the frustration of the daily weighers ! I’m still just up and down the same pound or two but I am pretty sure I’m down 4 overall since a week ago even at the highest . I’m 14.7 (today!) . I wanted a fast loss in the first 6 weeks really and not sure why I can’t get going on it yet but my head is a bit all over the place .
Also I am so tired - anyone else ? I keep napping when ever I can .

RunningAndSinging · 05/03/2024 13:45

I spent yesterday morning in bed asleep. Found I was tired on Ozempic too. Maybe there is some sort of effect as that is unusual for me (although it is not unknown for me to sleep in the afternoon)

I am also a daily weigher and don’t stress out too much about the fluctuations as I know the usual weekly pattern.

FlappyFish · 05/03/2024 13:49

@Mortigua Yes! I am so, so tired. I work from home and I could nap constantly. I guess it’s because my body is having to find other fuel to burn than what’s in my tummy. The Mounjaro kills the appetite and stabilises blood sugar and gives slow digestion but it doesn’t give energy. It is a total head screw.

I am with you on the wanting a big loss. Then I have to remember it’s 3,500 calories to lose a pound. That means a deficit of 7,000 to lose 2lbs a week. If eating 2,000 a day plus before that means being on 1,000 a day and I reckon I’m about that.

I did have the bigger loss first week. 6lbs. I know that will have been water and period retention weight. Second week was a 2lb loss.

I am so glad we have this thread. The psychological side of this is really kicking in. It really helps me to know you are all here on the same journey.

EsotericMnemonic · 05/03/2024 13:55

Thank you @ObsidianTree . I also ordered through Asda so will get in touch with their doctor if this does not settle.
