I have decided to start with Mourjano. Have put an order in with Asda and should hopefully be delivered soon!

Anyone else going to give Mourjano a go?

My Bolt order came in today so I have had my first dose. Weighed in this morning, heavier than I thought 🙄oh well, time to get moving!

HighlandLassLUFC · 29/02/2024 23:17

Has anyone done both Ozempic and Mounjaro?
How do you feel the 2 compare?
Which one is most likely to provide a greater weight loss?
Thank you.

First week weigh in -9lbs!

SW 13.12
TW 13.03

Flabbergasted. Looking forward to second injection as quite hungry this morning.

Mortigua · 01/03/2024 07:24

NextPrimeMinister wow!! That’s a huge loss!

Wow that's fantastic! I'm so tempted to hop on the scales but weigh in day is Sunday (annoyingly I started dieting and injecting the following Tuesday)

Anyone having any weird side effects? I seem to be having really vivid dreams at night and have started grinding my teeth again Confused

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 01/03/2024 08:26

Since taking the second dose my weight hasn't changed. I'm hoping it follows the first week's pattern that I lost it all at the end of the week.
I'll be gutted if I don't get another big loss as I'm eating even less than last week.

Currently trying to convince DP we need a cross trainer in our bedroom as I currently do no exercise whatsoever and I need to avoid ending up looking saggy. Nothing has changed on my belly, it's still huge although I have lost an inch on my hips and some off my boobs (😪).

Mortigua · 01/03/2024 08:45

I’d lost a pound (pre injection ) in a day which I have put back on overnight . Must stop the daily weighing as it can be so meaningless !

stealtheatingtunnocks · 01/03/2024 09:00

Agree about daily weighing. I’m not doing that, it messes with my head. I’m trying to note “non scale victories” instead - for instance, I have a shadow of a collarbone appearing. I had a takeaway yesterday (planned treat) and ate 1/3 what I usually would eat and drink. I am feeling positive about this drug and its potential for my life. These are all significant changes

PolisNonsense · 01/03/2024 09:03

Daily weighing can be good to see the (sometimes crazy) fluctuations over the week/month. It's impossible to put on a pound of fat overnight. It could be water, food or the fact you haven't been to the toilet, anything. Weight loss isn't linear, it's going to go up and down but as long as the trajectory is down.

I personally don't like weighing every day but I might to keep me on the straight and narrow.

My pen arrived yesterday so will be starting on Wednesday.

ObsidianTree · 01/03/2024 09:32

Great loss @NextPrimeMinister:)

I’ve not been on Ozempic before so I can help with that, sorry.

Injection 3 today.

Weigh in:
SW 14.1
week 1 13.9
week 2 13.6

9 pounds in total. Happy with that! If I lose any faster I’d be worried it’s too fast I think.

Wow!!! Please remember to eat too. Sorry I sound like my Mum. We’re so close in starting weight. How are you feeling?

NextPrimeMinister · 01/03/2024 10:37

@FlappyFish I feel absolutely fine. I think I'm just very receptive to it. I get the benefit within 2 hours of the injection.

I'm eating a third of my usual meals
No takeaway
No sweets, biscuits, crisps etc

None of the above has been an effort or choice, I've genuinely not wanted to eat any of the things cut out.

MJ makes me see food as fuel only.

Mortigua · 01/03/2024 11:41

I wish I had that effect! I feel a bit sick on and off but I am currently starving and too early for lunch . Trying to do fast 800 with it for some rapid loss .

cloudchaos · 01/03/2024 11:42

@R4ch402 I ordered Tuesday evening and it arrived Thursday lunch time.

I took the first dose last night thinking then I would be asleep for any bad side effects.

Only noticeable changes are that I slept really well, it felt like a fantastic night sleep and I have a slight bit of nausea but it's tiny and very manageable. I don't feel like it's really doing much else at the moment, I could eat, and I don't feel like I'm noticeably less hungry. How long does it normally take to kick in?

I’m similar really. Sorry if I came all protective of someone I don’t know. 😅

NextPrimeMinister · 01/03/2024 12:50

And it's appreciated @FlappyFish 👏

Who knows, I might only lose 1lb next week, and be floored by side effects!

It's really interesting being on this thread and seeing others experiences. I think I'd feel very alone without it.

wizzywig · 01/03/2024 13:00

Sent my pics to juniper. Didn't realise how pregnant I look

FlappyFish · 01/03/2024 13:19

I’m really glad we have this thread too @NextPrimeMinister.

The Facebook groups are very US centric. We are all pretty much just starting. Other than my USA colleague I’ve told no one. No friends. My OH. My parents. Someone will comment I’ve lost weight at some point I’m sure but for the first time in my life I don’t feel I need that validation. I don’t want anyone to notice and ask how I’m doing this.

I'm not ashamed to be taking Mounjaro. I’m doing this for me.

I love that we can share our experiences here.

My 5mg from Asda was approved this morning and I’ve now done my third injection.

FlappyFish · 01/03/2024 13:22

@cloudchaos It kicked in within an hour the first time I took it. I’m not sure how much placebo effect that was. It does have a long half life it seems. However I knew another injection was due as yesterday I was hungrier and a bit of food noise. But it was only a 10% increase to what was my normal.

PeachPoster · 01/03/2024 14:57

I'm due my third dose on Monday and overall I am still feeling hungry and crave the sweet stuff quite a lot. The only big difference I'd say is that I am having less of them overall, which is still a win.

I think I'm going to move up to the next dose like you Flappy as it might be that I need a bit more to get my sugar levels more balanced. I haven't been diagnosed as T2 diabetes in the past but I'm wondering if maybe I might be or was borderline as looking back I think I've had the symptoms. Think I was too scared to get tested a it would be confirmation of what bad shape I've been in 😢 Still I'm on the right medication now either way so all good I guess!

1stTimeMummy2021 · 01/03/2024 16:14

I took my first dose Sunday night and first started to feel hungry Wednesday lunchtime, yesterday I felt hungrier and hungrier still today. My period has started though and that has a big impact on my eating, it just makes me want to eat non-stop. I'm resisting thus far but it's getting harder, anyone else experienced this? I'm looking forward to dose 2.

chesterlestreet · 01/03/2024 16:37

For those watching the US sites is there a pattern to how long people tend to stay on a dose before moving up to 5 then 7.5 etc
