I have decided to start with Mourjano. Have put an order in with Asda and should hopefully be delivered soon!

Anyone else going to give Mourjano a go?

Asda still isn’t showing that I can order 5mg when I try and order more- have sent them a message.

Mine is arriving today . I tried Ozempic with some weight loss but didn’t stick at it due to cost. Tbh I had similar loss with slimming world to Ozempic but it’s always the sticking at it and being motivated /believing it’s possible I struggle with . I also drink far too much wine which then leads to unhealthy snacking so hoping this will help with my constant battle with my thoughts.
I’ve been reading through and seems as though those who have started are doing well so I’m hopeful .

My Chemist4U order was approved and it's on its way to me! I'm away on a city break this weekend so will start when I get back. It's the wine drinking for me, I can eat fairly well without it but once I really fancy a wine to wind down (I have a stressful job) the unhealthy patterns emerge. Need to knock that on the head.

t the risk of being accused of being the poo troll, I have now got a dicky belly. I’m not having accidents, there’s no rushing to the loo like with diahorrea, but I have constant grumbling. Which is manageable but weird.

So similar to me and I don’t want to stop completely as I like to have it socially but I want to cut back for health and weight loss . I am wondering when to start . I think I’m going to just go for it when it arrives .

Hi all, I’ve been given a prescription via Boots and just waiting for it to arrive. I’ve had a bit of a worry about the side effects and warnings about thyroid cancer. Anyone else worried? I sent them a message this morning as my mum told me she has a non-cancerous growth on her thyroid that just needs to be monitored every year so worried about that putting me at higher risk and not being able to start taking it.

I just spoke to Asda and they said it’s not on stock at 5mg even if it’s showing. They said once it is it will allow us to select the higher dose.

I am also full of trapped wind and rumbles.

re: the cancer worries. This is going to sound perhaps blunt and it’s just my feelings on it. Being obese puts me at risk of more cancers. But do some reading?

If you look at the evidence, they've only seen cases of thyroid cancer in rats, nothing in humans. Which I know doesn't mean that it can't happen in humans but I feel for me, that little risk is outweighed by the risk of being like 10 stone overweight 🙈

I'm really struggling with side effects this week (week 2), yesterday was day 2 post injection and anytime I ate I had the worst stabbing pain in my stomach and diarrhea. Really hoping I get used to the medication soon!

I'm definitely feeling hungrier as the week goes on. I'm considering eating more at the end of the week, so having a larger calorie deficit at the start of the week and tapering it off as I get towards injection day, only if I feel the need. I keep having to think this is a long term solution so if I'm hungry than I need to eat, can't feel hungry long term or I won't stick to it but it's weird after not feeling hungry the first few days.

hi mounjaro friends! i ordered my 2.5mg from boots on saturday 24th feb, went in today as the boots online doctor said it should be available now but they said they won't have it till next week. has anyone else had a delay in getting it from boots?

i'm keen to start but only after i go on holiday next week! also a bit nervous about possible allergic reactions, i developed an anaphylactic allergy out of nowhere in the last two years so now i'm hyper vigilant about reactions. really glad to hear about all of your experiences.

I have BO… I never get BO! Just reading up and this can be the result of your body burning fat while on a diet. Great!!

Can I ask you Mounjaro users if it has put you off alcohol at all?
Thinking of changing from Wegovy due to supply issues, but one of the reasons I like Wegovy is it makes me drink less :)

Yes, I would say so. I drank about the same as usual last week (I started on Tues eve) but this week I keep thinking that I'll have a glass of wine but then not bothering.

Very strange experience earlier. I went to the M&S food hall and the thought of buying my favourite high-fat foods left me cold 😎Bought my (underweight) daughter some doughnuts and they were of no interest to me.

I had that for a couple of days last week, but then it suddenly vanished. Until you posted, I thought that I might have imagined it!

Ordered my next pen from Asda today, 5mg arriving tomorrow.

Also saw a few posts about keeping it in the fridge - you only need to do that before you've used it for the first time. After the first use it just needs to be under 30c and used within 28 days :)

Going to cut back on the carbs and up my water intake and hopefully see a bigger improvement over the coming weeks. I've worked out that I have 70-80 lbs to lose 😩

Ah that's great the 5mg has come in. Ill wait a few weeks before ordering as I still have 3 doses left.

All I can think about is wine this evening . But I did my first injection today and worry it’ll make me sick - I also know it will stop me seeing the results I need! What is wrong with me. So far no loss of appetite but I do feel a bit heartburny not sure if that’s from eating earlier (not sure if any effect would have started yet anyway ?)

I was on wegovy for a few weeks before switching to mornjaro and had some drinks on that. I didn't get drunk and didn't really feel like drinking. It didn't effect me the next morning. I don't know what the effects are with murnjaro tho!

Thanks , I drank on Ozempic and was ok but only on the lower doses as I never got up to the full amount. It definitely helped me reign myself in !
i need to just accept I need to make serious life style changes to lose weight I think - I have at least 3 stone to lose and I would like to have a fast initial loss for motivation as I know what I’m like for dropping things otherwise. I wonder when it will start to help.

I take my third injection tomorrow night. I’ve moved it forward 12 hours so it’s the same time.

Collected my prescription from Boots today (it came in yesterday having completed the online questionnaire on Friday and being approved on Saturday) and done my first injection. I’ve had to inject myself in the past (ivf treatment and blood thinners after caesareans) and found the Mounjaro needle tiny and couldn’t really feel it, so that’s good.

It’s been half an hour and, perhaps unsurprisingly, I still feel absolutely normal 😁

I keep wondering if I can tell yet too 😁 I injected around 11 am I think . Hard to tell as I take other medications that make me feel a bit ropey at times too. It arrived very fast for me from pharmacy 2 u. Ordered Tuesday and arrived today.

Mine came today from Asda, ordered it on Tuesday so that was pretty quick! Injected around 2pm and I definitely couldn't eat all of the meal we had out either family, but I think it was because in my head I was like ooh I wonder if it's working yet?
Home now and I'd usually be snacking for something sweet but I feel uncomfortably full still. I've got the craving for sugar because I know we have it in the house but I don't feel up to eating it.

From the places suggested here it seems Bolt pharmacy is the cheapest. £159 for the 2.5mg or you can get a starter pack of 2.5mg and 5mg for £329.
