Who's getting married this year? 2019 Brides

I'm getting married in March - just for fun would love to hear from other 2019 brides.
I've been a lurker for a while but first time posting.

If your wedding's soon, how do you feel? Does it feel real yet?
What are you nervous about?

I bit the bullet today and went to see a seamstress as I have 2 dresses and I wasn't really thrilled with either of them.

@northernstars I've been panicking about mine, however, on the day I bought it my mum was being particularly "helpful" :
"Curbside you're too big for that"
"Curbside you've got a JLo bum in that"

I don't have any good photos and I wasn't wearing the right shoes, plus my hair needed a wash.

I'm going to my seamstress on my own, with the right shoes and clean hair styled nicely, so I can look at myself properly. Perhaps that would help you?

I listen to a podcast called Bridechilla and one of the key "rules" is that there is no perfect. I keep repeating that to myself!

I'm a bit late to this, but I'm getting married in two weeks time! Second time for me but first for my DP, we're having a fairly low key event which I thought would be less stressful but nope! Finally feel like everything is in place though, can't wait for the big day now

I'm very tall and have gained a lot of weight due to medication and non stop eating. I think I was feeling very self conscious and didn't like any 'traditional' dresses. Am mixing the best of two dresses I do like so fingers crossed...

Hello! I’m getting married in October this year. Pretty organised as far as we can be. Invitations out, although RSVPs are slow. Getting married in the registry office, although really lucky that it’s in the city’s castle! Then pub for reception.
I have my dress, I’m currently 18 weeks postpartum so want to lose a little more weight before trying it on again!
Hope everyone’s planning is going well!

We're also waiting for some RSVPs. A bit annoying considering we're only asking for a text to confirm. The expense of everything is kicking in now, especially because we have a friend's wedding before ours and stag / hen dos to pay for...

My dress came in, with nine weeks to go... they’ve made it wrong 😂 I wanted a zip back and they’ve done a corset back (which I truly hate) which is ideal 😂 luckily I’ve lost a fair bit of weight, inadvertently as I’ve not really been trying, so they’re pretty sure they can take the corset back out and just replace it with a zip like I wanted 🤞🏻 I’m not mega concerned, or stressed at all, tho, it’ll work out. Just a bit annoying!

It was really good. Fair few hiccups. Flower girl got stage fright, one of the suppliers was late, forgot all about the personalised hangers, DM didn't tell anyone about the guestbook so that was empty...
I keep going over those bits, but it was really fun, everyone seemed to have fun too.
I liked that I could just chill all morning and then rock up.
No family drama. The dress did up after the week of all inclusive lol.
Glad it's over although I feel DM will continue to autopsy the day for some time!

I'm getting married on July 27th this year and I'm really stressed out. I've had my maid of honor pull out with her daughter, my mom going away comes back day before my wedding. To top everything of my sister was doing my flowers but now she pulled out even though she offered to do them said she can't do them as she not got time. Lucky I had plan B. Part from that everything go well.
Can't wait to marry my fiancé. We getting married in church then having reception at a hotel. Everything is booked just got final dress fitting in few weeks.
I'm so excited

@curbsideprophet I did go mad at her. But I got that much to do and so little time I'm just getting on with it. I won't be helping her out ever again.

@littledinosaurs I'm not getting married until October, but I think this year it could do anything on any day! I'm sure the venue and photographer will have different plans based on what the weather is doing. Must feel an absolute arse considering how sunny it was last year, but I hope you can enjoy it and not even notice the rain / cloud / sun

Another October bride here. Feeling relatively organised - invites have gone out, paid deposits on photographer, church and reception venue.

I've bought my dress but just feeling a bit unsure. I feel self conscious of my body and so worry about that.

How did the wedding go @littledinosaurs? Was the weather okay for you.

@floatinglily I've also had little wobbles about my dress! I think it's because I picked it in December and that seems ages ago.

12 and a bit weeks to go! We've done invites etc so we're just doing the table plan and sorting out table decorations
