Nwales. It's 2 hours late, according to bbc weather. Muggy, tiny spots of rain and everyone on high alert for the washing. Don't want to wash my hair until the humidity drops.

I just got excited by a noise but it was a plane 😂

The wind has picked up a bit here West Yorkshire so I’m hoping it’s coming. Better call the cats in before it comes or they’ll hide under cars instead.

We had one at teatime yesterday (North Shropshire) - I'd just put everything on the table in the garden so we could eat tea outside. It rumbled very loudly for at least half an hour before it rained heavily for about 1/2 hour. It is much cooler today. It was sunny this morning but it's been grey since lunchtime but no thunder.

We've had warnings for a while but no sign of thunderstorms yet in Kent.

I keeps coming and going here, just had a massive roll of thunder after a quiet 10 minutes. The sky is getting darker. No lightening yet though.

Seen a tweet that said there have been 30000 lightning strikes. Absolutely mind boggling.

We had one overhead late morning, the house shook and I've had a headache ever since.

I'm South East, they keep saying there's a storm coming or it will get cooler, yet to see it.

I'm also in north Somerset and we had a doozie this morning. You're right about our micro climate here.

Yep, same here in north Devon. Huge storm this morning and still muggy as hell.

London here. It's awful I am just exhausted! We had a sprinkle of rain when I excitedly bought all my washing in hoping for a downpour! I could have counted the rain drops!!

I had rain in Cornwall (I don’t remember a big storm though unless I slept through it) which was nice for the wildlife and plants but as the PPs have said it’s still boiling and muggy.

We had thunderstorms in Devon this morning and it's made no bloody difference! Still sweating my tits off🥵
