The Met Office have issued a very widespread thunderstorm warning for Sunday. The coverage of the warning reflects uncertainty as to where storms will crop up. Not everywhere will see storms of course.

Main risk: torrential rain.

This weekend marks a transition to unsettled, but generally very warm period, with muggy nights, but temperatures lower than they have been. Further rainy periods and perhaps storms are expected.

Fortunately, we always bypass it.

I see some sneaky thunderstorms popped up in western Scotland while I wasnt looking this evening.

My garden (and poor birds) are looking forward to some skywater and cooler weather. Not sure muggy nights is a selling point though.

Down here in Cornwall, it's very overcast and very humid. Rained yesterday evening and the sky has been looking angry all morning.

Am running my local trail marathon tomorrow so watching the weather with interest. Happy for it being cooler but not so keen on the lightening potential up on the hills!
