Snow watch

Might as well get going on this thread, though it is rather a tease at the moment.

The ECMWF model is hinting at the possibility of some much colder weather next week, perhaps bringing some snow to Scottish hills. BUT the met office are still going for quite a wild and wet affair instead.
The ECMWF shows quite an interesting scenario really.

North Oxfordshire

It was -4.3 here in Wiltshire last night and we had a couple of inches of snow. It had stopped by nine though and is melting now.

Stopped now in West Surrey... so was about a 3 hour snow shower.

Gutted it looks like it's missing us in Sussex - would have been lovely for the DC as they've hardly seen snow in their lives

Snowing in Bedford for the first time this winter. Looking like it might start settling.

Just started 10 minutes ago in Warrington, small flakes but it's a start. Our BBC weather app has also just changed from cloud to heavy snow, we'll see!

6 inches snow on my 350m hill in south Shropshire. Love it (and thankfully new rescue dog loves it)

unfortunately impossible to make a snowman with though, just crumbles and not 'sticky'
