Might as well get going on this thread, though it is rather a tease at the moment.

The ECMWF model is hinting at the possibility of some much colder weather next week, perhaps bringing some snow to Scottish hills. BUT the met office are still going for quite a wild and wet affair instead.
The ECMWF shows quite an interesting scenario really.

Heavy snow over dinner time in east Lancashire

Over the hills from there Drinking, up in the Goyt Valley.

SIL has posted some impressive photos of the snow in Glossop!

We keep getting showers that don't amount to much but look lovely.

Snow is flipping hard to forecast! It just pops up out of nowhere. Anyway, further snow potential showing for many in northern England, in Wales and border counties and in central southern England for this evening.

I see Snake Pass in Derbyshire has closed due to snow.

Yet again we’ve been let down with snow not turning up in my part of NE England! Forecast tonight but looks like rain might start washing it away tomorrow.

It snowed for a couple of hours here (North Yorkshire) but the sky looks like more might come overnight.

Snow in Darwin this afternoon that settled and a little in SW Manchester.

Central southern England here and not a drop of snow 😢 wintry showers have been forecast loads and we've seen precisely zero.

Light snow in Leicester city just started.

We've had snow in Edinburgh for days and its showing no sign of melting.

Proper snow here in Birmingham tonight.

Snowed another couple of inches yesterday afternoon here in West Yorkshire but thankfully raining this morning!

Going to do care visit to mum tomorrow and just keep fingers crossed for no snow. The forecasts are all conflicting for London but there is no improvement on the cards.

When oh when will it come to the south east?! Perhaps the snow is avoiding the Kent strain of covid??
