Snow watch

Might as well get going on this thread, though it is rather a tease at the moment.

The ECMWF model is hinting at the possibility of some much colder weather next week, perhaps bringing some snow to Scottish hills. BUT the met office are still going for quite a wild and wet affair instead.
The ECMWF shows quite an interesting scenario really.

Snow here in South Yorkshire

Temperature's dropped here as well - it was 1.1C, 2 hours ago and now it's 0.3C.

And the metoffice have decided we're going to have heavy snow this morning, from 8am

Snowing now Nottinghamshire. Very rare for us to get it here.

More Trafford snow, big and floaty! Started 7.30am and still going strong.

It is properly hoiking it down here. I have left the car at the bottom of the hill so it looks as if I will be doing errands by bike. Or maybe they can wait.

Nothing here in Cheshire yet but the BBC breakfast weather forecast just now seemed quite positive....

I'm not a million miles from the West Yorks border. Within the Dales national park boundary though.

I wish it would come as far as the south east! Tier 4 would be lots nicer in the snow!!

@Oddgirlout There's a weather warning which covers London and the SE starting from tomorrow and covering Thurs as well. So maybe!

@SquirmOfEels that's hopeful! We hardly ever get snow. I've had covid, we've been isolating etc. Snow would really help!!

Yep snow in Leicester city, DD is very excited!

As I don't have to be anywhere today I am loving the snow. I just hope this weather doesn't increase the load on the emergency services, and that people are sensible about it.

Snowing in my little corner of Manchester, has been on and off for about an hour and a half. We have about and inch lying. DBIL is in The Peak District and can't get to work - snow day for him!

Snowing in Leicestershire coming down quite fast now

Very light snow here falling in the West Midlands. It will go on top of yesterday's snow.

Lots in the Peak District.

Nothing in Surrey and despite the weather warnings the met office doesn't show any over the coming days.

Nothing in Bedford. Although at least yesterday’s freezing fog has cleared.

The Met Office has yellow weather warnings for snow in the SE for the next few days, but no actual snow in the forecast?

West Midlands. Most of the snow from yesterday has melted and it's not snowed today.
