In the mean time, here have a load of weather warnings including an amber for snow.

Random, what bugs me is when it’s going to be minus 5 and they say “a bit chilly”.

Aragog · 14/02/2020 19:30

I think that air travel will be less disrupted than last weekend, with peak gusts a little lower.

Oh, I do so hope it is!
Flying from Heathrow at noon tomorrow, heading for the US.
I really want to get away for some winter sun!

Very concerned for all those people in flood prone areas, cannot imagine how distressing and stressful the next 3 days are going to be for them Sad

nannynick · 14/02/2020 19:37

River level certainly looks high at Worcester.

Does not look long until it is flooding the A44.

85notout · 14/02/2020 19:56

I just hope it doesn't get to the levels like it did a few years ago where they were putting buses on to get over the bridge.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 14/02/2020 20:40

Reading your reports makes me even more concerned.

Ex h is not having the kids until Monday. He is driving them home Sunday afternoon, a two hour drive, through country roads. Fucking idiot.

Bestoption · 15/02/2020 06:34

@TopBitchoftheWitches

Maybe Someone more able than I, can help you work out the best time Sunday if you give tough locations?

It would be unfortunate if that involved him driving back through the worst if it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mind you, no one else needs such an idiot on the roads 🤬

Maybe he’ll change his mind when the time comes & he can make it his decision, not your suggestion 🙄

WreckTangled · 15/02/2020 06:36

The rain looks to be starting a bit later than previously thought. Which is good for us because it means we can do what we need to do this morning then hibernate for the rest of the weekend.

Dilbertian · 15/02/2020 07:41

If that's Dennis NW of Ireland, what's brewing NW of Dennis?

Someone mentioned Storm Ellen on my local FB feed. Hoping they are joking !?!

Waitingfordennis · 15/02/2020 09:00

God surely not? I just looked at Null chart live and it looks like Dennis is a bit up and off?

TokyoSushi · 15/02/2020 09:02

Just a bit dark, a bit breezy and a bit of rain here in Cheshire, nothing really to report so far...

OhYouBadBadKitten · 15/02/2020 09:08

It's all pretty much on track really, with two days of very very wet and windy weather to come.

Some links for you.

And three screenshots to show the evolution of Dennis. Notice how the second low NW of Dennis merges in. Also, the slow movement of those cold fronts. Dennis will drop to near record low pressure for the north atlantic.

It will get a lot livelier from mid morning onwards.

Waitingfordennis · 15/02/2020 09:15

Wow Kitten, it's scary sitting here knowing it's coming, just like last week but worse rain wise

OhYouBadBadKitten · 15/02/2020 09:17

At the moment I can't see anything that will definitely become another named storm. Things look to settle for a few days after this weekend. I'm keeping a bit of an eye on Thursday and Saturday.

Waves to @flouncyfanny 👋

They seem to be taking this one more seriously that Ciara on the news, eeek

OhYouBadBadKitten · 15/02/2020 09:18

I think the thing to hold on to is that it doesn't look as windy as Ciara. But please, please, weigh those trampolines down. They can do so much damage when they fly off.

DS1 is refereeing at an under 16s Academy match today - it;s not cancelled yet. He also has a match to ref tomorrow at a different Academy .he's hoping it wont be called off as he needs the cash.

Grandmi · 15/02/2020 09:22

I have to drive through countryside today and tomorrow for work ,coming home about 8pm ....really worrying!! I cancelled last Sunday but feel I cannot again this week!

Tokyo more rain on already full rivers, a months worth in 24 hours. Wind is getting up here right on cue, Northamptonshire.
