Right. So earlier this week, it was just drizzle in Brizzle. Then a sudden amber weather warning. Disappointingly, the cloud symbols have been increasingly showing rain or a little light snow as the day has gone on and just now gone back to an hour or two of good, heavy stuff tonight Confused

I think now- casting is about right.

Loving peri's photos and OYYBK's map. And thanks to the fabulous Gloria too. Flowers and 🌨

my flat is very close to two pubs and there's even more people out drinking when it snows. We can't even say snow is unusual in London any more (outer burbs). I don't know what it is, but obviously living near those pubs I notice the drunk traffic flow, so to speak, and it's always much higher when there's snow, with said drunk people yelling a lot in an excited way.

same applies during heatwaves... Confused

I follow both BBC and Met Office but they are so different in their forecasts for tonight/tomorrow I don't know who is more likely to be accurate. OH says BBC but I want to believe Met Office!!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 31/01/2019 15:57

Love the weather map!

I LOVE YOUR MAP KITTEN

LukeCage · 31/01/2019 16:05

Snow in west cornwall when only heavy rain was forecast. It went from heavy rain to heavy snow immediately and nobody thought it would stick - because it had rained all day. But it stuck!

Surprised that it was missed by all weather forecasters Confused and as the mush iced over it's been a bit chaotic.

4point2fleet · 31/01/2019 16:06

Nowt yet in North Dorset even though we are already under the big blue bar on rain radar.

lovestea · 31/01/2019 16:06

I love your map too! Which ever way you look at it!

LukeCage · 31/01/2019 16:09

Now the Met Office are on the Radio forecasting snow when it's all been and gone! Haha! How very useful Grin nice map artistry

Imnotokatall · 31/01/2019 16:12

LadyFlumpalot · 31/01/2019 16:20

Snow has started! I'm near Sherborne.

Grace212 · 31/01/2019 16:22

Kitten, that's so funny Grin

I can't walk on snow sober, I wonder if I'd do a better job hammered....

LittleMissCwtch · 31/01/2019 16:38

Love the map, I'm in the snow snow and bucketfuls bit of Wales! We have an amber warning, the schools finished early and the light snow has just started Grin

GloriaSmud · 31/01/2019 16:53

Nice map, OYBBK!
I'm on the 'weak and wobbly boundary' but looking at Netweather's radar and seeing the movement of the rain band (and I still think it's moving in a NE direction), I'm using willpower to get it to Leicester and for snow to fall.
Metoffice still saying 'no' but BBC are giving it a 'slight chance through the night, from 11pm onwards.'

HowlsMovingBungalow · 31/01/2019 16:58

Snow and sleet in East Devon.

My weather app is still showing rain. Peculiar!

BrieAndChilli · 31/01/2019 16:59

I’m in south Monmouthshire, we seem to be the only place without snow!!

xsahm · 31/01/2019 17:05

Hopping over

PhilipTheLamb · 31/01/2019 17:05

@LadyFlumpalot not sure if it's relevant to you, but school buses are cancelled tomorrow in Sherborne, and the Gryphon is closed.
Only very fine snow on the top of this hill, but still have lots left from yesterday.

tapdancingmum · 31/01/2019 17:06

DD back from Uni in London, DD2 home from school. DH still at work but he can sort himself out whilst I am sitting watching The Chase, eating donuts and waiting for the snow to start! My tame weather man on FB is saying it won't fall until around about 8pm so I may be sat here a while. Best think about dinner soon I suppose.

DD has decided not to go to the cinema tonight when I told her she may have to take a spade and her wellies as she would be walking home.

I'm hoping we get enough so I can cancel pre school, turn over and go back to sleep. I would like it all gone and defrosted by Saturday though as youngest has a cup match âš½ to play.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 31/01/2019 17:06

I'm waiting for mine - guess how much work I'm getting done at the moment Wink

Thank you @PhilipTheLamb - I'm in a village just East from you! The DCs school reckon they'll call it in the morning but I'm planning on the school being closed. Work chucked us out early today, luckily I can walk to work!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 31/01/2019 17:10

Interesting, I'm seeing reports that it might be a little further east and northwards than expected at this point. I don't know it that will make any material difference though.

Love the map.

Was snowing, but not settling when I left work but mostly just sleet in this bit of East Devon.
