It keeps getting pushed back? Has the SE had any snow that was forecast yet?

samii1989 · 31/01/2019 19:57

Will central Birmingham get any AT ALL? Sad

GreyhoundzRool · 31/01/2019 19:58

Heavy snow in South Dorset - settling on cars and on the ground. Still just about in plus temperatures

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 31/01/2019 19:58

@samii1989 probably not. O'm south brum. We have nothing so far!

HollySwift · 31/01/2019 20:00

I’m 10 miles north of Portsmouth, bit down from Petersfield.

SoleBizzz · 31/01/2019 20:00

No snow in Brum thanks.

OublietteBravo · 31/01/2019 20:01

The latest forecast on the BBC has us being too far North/East for the snow. Which doesn’t surprise me - we hardly ever get snow. Although my weather app is still showing snow overnight.

4point2fleet · 31/01/2019 20:01

@PhilipTheLamb it's stopped now Sad

OhYouBadBadKitten · 31/01/2019 20:03

I'm fascinated by the lack of snow despite the radar showing it as so. Either it showing false returns (or data) or it is evaporating.
At the same time, I'd rather it stopped evaporating and actually snowed.
Come on silly snow!!!

So is there a chance none of us will get anything OYBBK?!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 31/01/2019 20:05

It does look like the system is either stalling, or fizzling out at the moment.

Well places in the SW have had loads, enough to cause real issues. I think we will get it in central and eastern areas eventually tonight. It's just being stubborn!

Hoping for snow in west London tonight, although I doubt it as forecast has been saying it has been snowing while I was out and there certainly wasn’t any. Ddog loves snow so was looking forward to bringing her out even if it was only light

Reastie · 31/01/2019 20:07

Snow has been pushed back to 11pm for us too in Kent according to met office.....

OhYouBadBadKitten · 31/01/2019 20:07

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47071846 report from the BBC - they are also cautious about London drinkers [brin]

@GloriaSmud Thank you! Fingers are crossed and eyes are on the sky. Not the highest but roughly 400ft elevation. I have to drive through places which are 600-800ft for work.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 31/01/2019 20:08

Grin not brin!

Noooooooooolooooooooo!

Daytimetellysucks · 31/01/2019 20:09

I’m on the Isle of Wight and it has been snowing here

Big fat flakes falling quite heavily about an hour ago but didn’t settle, now it’s tiny little flakes/bit sleety

We never get snow normally and I’m sure it won’t come to much

dementedma · 31/01/2019 20:09

no snow here in central scotland but it's bloody cold. minus 6 this morning

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 31/01/2019 20:10

It keeps changing! An hour ago, met office had heavy snow for Worcester, now it's light snow overnight...

I don't want any at all, thank you - everyone else can have mine!

Mummylin · 31/01/2019 20:10

Finally snowing in Bournemouth.

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 31/01/2019 20:13

Just had a big dump of snow here in the north-east - nothing at 7pm, then all white when we looked through the curtains at 8pm! I’ve got a train to catch to London at 5.30am 🙁 is there going to be awful disruption? Coming back tomorrow evening and really don’t want to be delayed!

Thanks OYBBK and everyone else for your hugely helpful posts! X

GloriaSmud · 31/01/2019 20:13

HollySwift ~ I would have thought you'd be getting something by now. Maybe as OYBBK says, it's evaporating before it gets to you.

14allall41 · 31/01/2019 20:15

Teeny flakes now in central Surrey. I'm hoping it doesn't fizzle out!
