met office be prepared warnings nothing too major for most, though some western and southern coastal areas could have quite a lively night tomorrow night.

perhaps, it's possible but I think unlikely in this particular storm.

noisyish here too.

Ollivander84 · 03/01/2018 00:25

Lancashire. Rain and a bit breezy (I may underestimate and where I live, it's usually pouring rain and battering wind anyway) Grin
I'll put my big coat on for riding the horse tomorrow

Wind getting up here now - South Northumberland. Can hear it on our trees in the garden.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/01/2018 00:30

Once the squall goes through it will generally seem calmer, bu there will still be pockets of very strong winds.

Just taken the dogs out for a final wee of the night. They weren't keen and my hair is now looking interesting. Blowing out 'just in case' candles and going to sleep, will enjoy listening to the wind as I drift off. Shoe anchors sound fun, try one and keep us posted OYBBK Wink

Pretty windy wind here in Oxfordshire.

brizzledrizzle · 03/01/2018 00:49

Getting noisier here and quite a lot of noise from bins, I suspect they are all doing a jolly dancer together as everybody has them out.

DaphneCanDoBetterThanFred · 03/01/2018 00:56

Pretty windy over in East Anglia. We have a row of old lime trees at the bottom of our garden and we're thinking strong thoughts for them Grin Still, on a positive note, it means I've been able to track down and tape/stuff every drafty hole and window in the entire house. Feel very lucky to be a bit sheltered here. Two lots of rows of neighbours (if that makes sense, the 2 rows form an L shape and we're nestled in the armpit of that) ) have a couple of miles of flat empty fen as their back garden, so they are probably having a bit of a restless night.
Hope you all stay safe and get some sleep!

Lancashire coast here....very windy. I sleep in the attic. It’s like being in a tent - it’s all around me. The bed was moving earlier (am alone!). Something slid off the roof a while ago but am used to that - need a new roof! Every spring my builder puts it all back together for me and every winter it slides off slowly. Won’t sleep very well so will keep checking in. Stay safe everyone!

LuluJakey1 · 03/01/2018 01:05

South Northumberland - now tipping it down as well as windy.

BlackeyedSusan · 03/01/2018 01:25

arse fucking thunder too...

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/01/2018 01:25

lol! I got up again. Stuff on my mind. It's nice down here, cup of herbal tea and the wind blowing down the chimney.

Christ, lightning is lighting up the bedroom, it’s so bright!

Quite a strange thunderstorm, the noise is horrendous.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/01/2018 01:32

that's the squall line, after it goes through, it will be back to just very windy rather than bonkers.

Random, extremely loud thunder in South Birmingham for a few mins ...now all calm once again. Very strange!

Whatthefoxgoingon · 03/01/2018 01:38

I’ve been woken up a while ago by the noise in the chimney flue, have no idea how my husband slept through that Confused

OrlandaFuriosa · 03/01/2018 01:39

Mincemeat, where are you?

BlackeyedSusan · 03/01/2018 01:43

seems to have passed now but several loud bangs and cloud to ground lightening seen not very far away at all. plus a load of really heavy hail that turned the ground white.

BlackeyedSusan · 03/01/2018 01:47

I know where mincemeat is.... roughly... apart from being under the bed that is

BlackeyedSusan · 03/01/2018 01:47

or at least three options...

BlackeyedSusan · 03/01/2018 01:48

when the adrenalin has worn off i shall go to bed.

Alwaysinmyheart · 03/01/2018 01:50

West Mids here, exceptionally loud thunder then rain ( or guess it was hail) that sounded like it was going to break the windows! Scary...

Wingingit321 · 03/01/2018 01:52

Southwest here by the sea. V windy and rainy.
