A snow - less Worthing helenagrace

It's been snowing steadily in south Derbyshire (4 miles from derby city centre) since 3pm.

We've got a lovely covering now and it's just keeping on falling.

I'm seriously beginning to doubt that DH will make it back from Chester tomorrow though :(

I've a feeling that the snow band that's currently sitting over the middle of England is going to hang around and the heavy snow band is going to crash into its arse around 10-11am tomorrow....

And it looks pretty similar to before but it does give the Nw more than the UKMO model does, so those Manchester way don't lose heart yet.
However GFS also shows less heavy snow in the afternoon for the south than before.

Sorry kitten I've read the thread but am desperate for a snow day am in north Wales, is it worth me getting my hopes up?

I'm afraid I've got bad news for you all.

I'm working all day tomorrow and I have to be in work a bit early too. I'm going to try and get up a bit early cos obviously I want to update here, but I've also got to get us all out of the house togged up in full snow gear, so my time will be limited I'm afraid. Don't let the thread go cold! And please start another with a similar title if we get close to our limit.

Off to bed in a few minutes, tomorrow is going to be full on!

All offers of gin gratefully received! North Wales should do ok :) but you will be better placed if you ar away from the north coast.

Phew, for a minute then, I thought the bad news was no snow.

Just looked nervously out of the window and still no snow here. It looks like it'll be here in the morning according to the beeb. I don't think I'll be able to sleep.

I am in North East Scotland , it is winter, my garage is full of snow boots ,sledges, silhouettes- I should have snow ! Where is my snow ??? It's been a couple of years now since we have had a proper full on calf deep snow fall which we used to get at least a couple of times a year.
very jealous !

If we survive the red warning I will post to keep the thread alive.
