As requested by our snow guru OYBBK heres the new thread as the other one is almost full.

And I have no idea why I'm still getting involved as we had no snow

I am going for a bath now and I expect it to get it's act together by the time I return.

dh says it is snowing properly but not a lot on the ground. I am pinned to the sofa by two cats who may at any moment remember they dont like each other so I have no idea.

Gotten a bit lighter here, smaller flakes! Come back, big snow!

I can report that the snow this time is a completely different texture to the other day. It's much wetter, bigger flakes, makes that wonderful noise when you walk on it - it'll be perfect for snowballs. We've had about an inch so far.

I wasn't convinced by snow here but it seems to mean business now (nr Guildford)

Obviously I noticed that too. Much less powdery.

It's stopped snowing here - just about enough to cover the ground but we don't usually get much sticking as the town is built on salt. Might get more overnight.

Its not laying here!! But T'is snowing so don't really care!

West sussex here and the snow is coming down lovely

east of Portsmouth, enough to cover parked cars and hedges, but not settling on the roads. Stopped now.

Snowing in Sutton, Surrey, I'd say 2 in deep, started at 9 pm

It's been snowing here for a couple of hours, and still is, it is settling on wet paths now too. DH just said he reckons if it snows all night we'll have quite a bit !

It looks beautiful, so clear.

I will have to remember tomorrow that under the snow will be sheer ice, unless we have enough for it not to be a problem.

Just woke up, looked outside and there's a lovely covering of snow in Somerset!

Terrible sleep....been excited about the snow hoping there would be enough for snow day in Surrey, but no - only got 4cm here and main road is completely clear. Heard the gritter several times during the night. We had 3cm when I went to bed at midnight so not much added since then.
