And I have no idea why I'm still getting involved as we had no snow

What? Our snow is evaporating? Along with my hope of shut schools and a lie-in tomorrow.

Yep - for a good 90 mins the 5mm an hour band was over me, but we didn't have a single flake. God knows where it went but it certainly didn't hit the ground - must be evaporating as OYBBK says. Interestingly the netweather forecast is now showing precip free weather for tonight where I am.

Weather.co.uk still saying snow til 1pm tomorrow not gonna happen!

Lubey ~ if you come charging 13 miles or so up the M69 to Leicester, you'll find we're having mahoosive snow flakes here. We've even got a very slight covering.

There is still a little bit of snow around on the radar, it's just going either side of me, it's to the west of me and the east but none now north of me and the radar shows it all steadily heading south, so I really think our blink and you miss it 0.0002 of a mm is all we are getting here in sw leics

Gloria yes I can see it not far away, it's just missing us here completely by a 5 to 10 mile span. Bastards.

I think that what is happening is that a cold front to our east that was supposed to be decayed by the time it got to us is not decaying. So that is why we have weather coming from the east. The weather from the west is what we expected. Thats why it looks so odd on the radar (plus some is evaporating)
look at T+24 the blue dotted line is the cold front predicted to have decayed. where as in reality I dont reckon it has.

now look at rain today and you can see the effects of both fronts coming together.

So tis a cold front and a warm front colliding. No idea what the result will be but theres a still a chance for the midlands to get more I reckon.

or in our case 'some' OYBBK.

You can see on the raintoday radar why lubey's missing out on the snow and I'm getting a lot!

Yes Gloria really clear isn't it! there is a sort of precip free zigzag, I've been just on the edge of it a couple of times but now looning all clear.

Had a few microflakes again, but it's gone again just as quickly.
