I have to get to a very important appointment and will have a new baby and preschooler in the car.

Thats not fair LeDodgy - theres such a good clump just south of you. Never mind you still have a good chance for some decent snow showers.

updated warnings which still seem to say that there is a signficant snow risk on Saturday and GFS is back on for snow again It moves in from the west so those in the east ought to make the most of the day before it gets to you! You may have a clear morning. (note my caution!!!!)

Had snow for about an hour, seems to have eased off n for now, grass and cars have a covering.

ok, so the temp has dropped to 1.1, windchill is -3.6 and the wind is from the west. It has rained with a touch of sleet on and off, with blue sky peeping through. The barometer is 1017 and rising.

Am by Stanstead airport and we have snow coming down fairly strong not sticking yet az to wet and mild but the tempture is dropping now

Ok left to pick up DD's from art club at school and it was raining and 3 when i left by the time i got to their school it was sleeting and on the way home it started snowing and dropped to 0 degrees - lovely big fat snowflakes which are finding it hard to settle as it has been raining.

Its now light snow but hey at least its snowing in Swindon hope we get some more!

OK this is not sounding very reliable about the day length....

Its started snowing here, we're on the East Surrey/Kent border. Bee raining most of the afternoon - so hopefully won't stick.

Have just got back in - sleet and snow, and temperature just +1. But very wet and nowhere near settling.

We have just had a good spell of wet heavy snow - settling on the car. Temp 1.8C. The road and all surfaces are really wet. When this freezes (as it will do soon) it is going to be really nasty.
