well it's beautiful here at the moment (Dundee). Wee flurry of snow first thing, but not worth mentioning. Right now its cold, but clear blue skies, no wind - lovely November day. How long will it last??

SuePurblybiltbyElves · 16/12/2010 12:19

Where are you GeorgeW? South West too?

GeorgeWHollyBush · 16/12/2010 12:20

I.O.W Sue.

itsTwiiiiitmaaaaasss · 16/12/2010 12:22

It has just dropped in temp and started arsing it down here. Still very dark, and a bit of sleet mixed in.
patience when are you leaving us,it's meant to get freezing with possible snow here later.

SuePurblybiltbyElves · 16/12/2010 12:33

Freezing and pelting it down in North/Mid Devon.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 16/12/2010 12:39

lal123 Im slighty north of you (Arbroath), and its the same here. Lovely blue clear skies! I cant see a single cloud.

ajandjjmum · 16/12/2010 12:47

West Mids - rain/hail/pretty continuous drizzle.
My plan is to leave as soon as the temperature drops, to stay overnight in Newbury, ready for a flight from Heathrow tomorrow.
Does it make sense?

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 16/12/2010 12:59

Not raining yet in my bit of North Devon, but it's bound to start before the school run.

SantasMooningArse · 16/12/2010 13:01

Well 24 minutes later than netw eather predicted, and her in newport SW the skies just opened up- torrential, bouncing off roof style rain. get a sense of ehre we go....

dietcokesholidaysarecoming · 16/12/2010 13:02

Light rain in south mid Cornwall

SantasMooningArse · 16/12/2010 13:02

lady I shall be watching your posts as I am due at a house aprty in Cullompton on Saturday 9and will be in Martock aforehand). Eek.

ledodgy · 16/12/2010 13:05

It's very strange here in Liverpool now it's very windy but quiet and the sky is dull like a kind of end of the world feeling!

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 16/12/2010 13:12

Will keep you posted Santas! Part of me wants snow, but OTOH DH has to drive to Bristol on Sunday to collect my mum from the airport, so keeping an anxious eye on the weather for that.

SantasMooningArse · 16/12/2010 13:23

Well sahll let you know about Brizzle then LOL as we drive back through it (pressie run- Mum in bridgwater, FIL in martock, Phoenix in Cullompton and then home).

busy day.

midnightexpress · 16/12/2010 13:34

A gorgeous day in Glasgow now. A bit of a cold wind, -2 and some black ice, but gloriously sunny over the snow-sprinkled Campsie Fells.

midnightexpress · 16/12/2010 13:35

And it could always be worse

PaxoIsEvil · 16/12/2010 13:38

Sleet here in the east midlands. And lots of it.

DanceInTheDark · 16/12/2010 13:40

We have just got it in Stockport about half an hour ago. Started with Snow and Drizzle and is now properly snowing and not really sticking - yet.

mankyscotslass · 16/12/2010 13:41

Snowing here now, the temperature is really dropping too. At the moment there are no signs of it lying because it's too wet.

ledodgy · 16/12/2010 13:44

Sleeting here now , well it's either sleet or small snow. Grin

WilfShelf · 16/12/2010 13:46

Yeah. We have a mix of patchy sun/clear skies, sleet, rain, hail and wind has almost entirely gone

Temp and pressure dropping slightly - 5.6 C and 1006

Am holed up at home with hot drink (and a huge pile of marking) while DH does school run later Grin

WilfShelf · 16/12/2010 13:47

That's + 5.6 not minus 5.6 by the way (that WOULD be a swift drop in a coupla hours!)

Deliaskis · 16/12/2010 13:47

Light snow flurries in Cheshire.

rosieposey · 16/12/2010 13:49

Temp dropped here from 6 to 2 in about 5 mins then it started pelting down with hail, now its just raining again.

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 16/12/2010 13:53

Kitten, you are a MN legend

Sorry to bombard you with more questions, but my colleague is sitting here getting very worried that he's not going to be able to get from Brighton to Gatwick on Saturday morning to spend Christmas with his parents in Tenerife. What do think are the chances of heavy disruptive snowfall in Mid / East Sussex for Friday night / Saturday morning?

Thanks Xmas Smile
