Help! What are the real chance of snow on Thursday

in central scotland, fife and perthshire?

I have to get to a very important appointment and will have a new baby and preschooler in the car.

Clear and dry here now.

Very dark and grey down south in Bournemouth ,no rain or snow at the moment

Light snow in Harrogate at the moment, have had heavy rain, hail, sleet and now this already this morning. School run was fun!

Now we've got drizzle/light rain here in Leeds and rather ominous looking clouds overhead. I'm really starting to get into this weather watching thanks to this thread

manky - it means the jury is completely out!! That pesky low which has been so hard to forecast is just not playing ball. could be a pretty dry day on Saturday.

Mind you, probably better for travel and the economy if it does track much further south.
And interestingly it now shows a huge snow storm for Sunday afternoon/evening instead for most of the UK.

I guess, hang fire on any critical decisions for this weekend. Perhaps this evening the models will start roughly agreeing with each other again.

DH is travelling from Glasgow to I.O.W tonight! Wonder when he'll actually arrive!

other models still seem to be showing snow on Saturday. the JMA has loads. I'm not sure when that one updates.

gWB - at this stage - all i can say about this weekends weather is: "who the hell knows?"

Am always following your posts Kitten and have also started to look at the charts with interest (I look on Netweather). BBC and Met Office now say heavy snow for us at 3pm this afternoon (Cambridge area)..would you say that is right as my husband is panicing about getting home from work (had car accident in snow in January so understandably not keen to drive in snow). futurity - it is a bit tricky. its not guaranteed but looking at the radar I would say it is quite likely to snow. There seems to be a lot of precipitation behind the cold front. My dh is being the opposite. Totally chilled out. I told him I hope he makes it home by Monday
