...what comes out in the poo of a baby you are weaning

Background we have just started baby led weaning my daughter on to limited solids.
Click here for pictures of her first meal

As we EC our daughter, we catch her poo in a potty and I have noticed that whatever food I put in one end of our baby is coming out pretty intact at the other end, except banana which seems to result in a very vile glope. In total her behaviour and wee/poo seems fairly normal apart from this addtional food component.

Tell me this is normal..please.

I am really impressed that she eats steamed cauliflower, I always think it stinks !

BabiesEW - you are far more obsessed about weaning and pooing than any one I have ever known, but your baby is really cute !

The EC thing, very normal in some countries. In rural areas they just hold babies over a hole and let it do it's business, save loads of money on nappies and it's more eco-friendly

I never had the time or inclination, but I defo. think it is a good idea as you can save your sanity over potty training later on.

BabiesEverywhere · 04/03/2007 19:00

Cod,
She is my precious first born, how did you tell ;)
The food taste fab and was the veg part of our meal, doesn't look nice on the photos though.

YellowRose,
Promise I'm not JUST obsessed with weaning and poo, I make time for eating chocolate when I can
