Shiny new thread. Work means I've only walked 5.2km this week, though Fitbit says it's 11.9.

I got 2 shines too. I also hit level 40. Was disappointed to see that you no longer accrue XP at all, it's all disappeared. I thought at level 40 it would still get higher and higher, just no more rewards and levels. Think it's going to mean I don't play so often now (probably not a bad thing!). Apart from filling the pokedex (which I have pretty much done apart from regionals) I don't see what there is to achieve now. All my lucky eggs, are now worthless.

Thanks everyone for your patience with me this afternoon, and I appreciate those who hung back on opening a gift just in case. Will sort out a catch up coordinegg soon. Disappointing to hear xp disappear totally at level 40, so I might as well use up all my eggs up now I’m halfway through 39.

Thanks also for the good wishes for my dad. He’s doing ok, looks like it’s his blood pressure dropping too much when he stands up, he’s otherwise as well as an nearly 90 year old can be after several strokes. Ward staff were fantastic, patience of saints dealing with some very poorly and/or demanding elderly people, but still found time to be kind to both mum and dad. God (or your deity of choice) bless the NHS.

XP doesn't 'disappear' after level 40. It still accumulates - have a look right at the bottom the your profile and under Start Date, it carries on adding up your current XP

7 shiny Mudkips which was great but I'm annoyed an Armoured Mewtwo ran away for the second time in 2 days 😩

Went to the local park today and happened to be there from 4pm. Was quite funny seeing the amount of people playing, my DP thought he was in an episode of black mirror 😁

Caught a million mudkips and not one shiny. Frustrating!

I had a nightmare yesterday! I was out from 6am and, goodness knows how, but my phone battery was down to 20% by midday - something must have been running in the background but I couldn't see it. I put it on low power but it was still chewing through battery but I didn't want to switch off the phone in case there was an issue at home.

I ended up deciding that co-ordinegging was more important and switched the phone off at 5% and booted it up at 3.55pm. I think it lasted until about 4.20pm so thanks to those I levelled up with!

I'm now 700,000 into L37 most of which is from friends levelling

As a result of lack of hardware I didn't catch any Pokemon during Community Day .

My first mudkip yesterday was shiny - didn't even know there was an event on! Got a shiny pineco as well at some point in the last few days.

I'm sorry about the lack of gifts, I cant bloody find any! Anyone else noticing a lack of gifts from pokestops?

I caught a ditto yesterday, it's the first time I can remember being pleased to see one. Usually I'd rather have the pidgey that I expected to get.

I keep getting the hat Pikachu shadows but they're miles away. I'm quite fed up with the distance thing anyway as when I'm in town they'll show me stuff that's 2km away but at home it's barely 500m. Grr.

Anyway, help catch anything and everything that can be a ditto and you'll get there. They seem to come and go for me.

Such a pain about the battery yogadrone, I got a power bank for Xmas from DP to play PoGo. I use it daily!

This site has info about what can be. I've caught them as yanmas and sentrets recently.

@murree Yes that’s fine for me. I haven’t got any gifts right now but I’ll send one tomorrow to open at 7pm on Wednesday. I will also use the lucky egg to evolve lots that I didn’t get round to this weekend.

They're few and far between. Since last night my group has found 3; one 100 km away, one 20 km away, and one 200 m from my house. You can spot them on the map as they're dark blue and wobbling. Be quick - they last 30 mins.

I'm still getting to grips with things other than just catching Pokémon. I managed to overthrow a gym earlier today. May have sat in my air conned car whilst I did it as it is 28 here today.
