Shiny new thread. Work means I've only walked 5.2km this week, though Fitbit says it's 11.9. Hmm

Many thanks for the shiny new thread Doctor!

It's that time of the month again! Shout outs to @Polly99, @scabz & @littledinosaurs. Hoping that you will be okay for levelling up at 3pm on Saturday?

bettytaghetti · 06/06/2019 13:48

@funnelfanjo 👍

bettytaghetti · 06/06/2019 14:12

@funnelfanjo glad you said who you are! I've been meaning to say on here I'm not bothered about egging for great friends so please go ahead and open whenever, but if you're grouping a whole lot for Saturday that's great, thank you! 😘

Cassie124 · 06/06/2019 14:40

@tumpmummy

I don't have any preference, I've not got any eggs to put on so I'm happy for you to trigger whenever works best for you.

JuniLoolaPalooza · 06/06/2019 19:09

hiiii!
My raiding group definitely tends towards the...geeky! Plus I live in a very mixed area so we have all sorts of people. Mums, grandmothers, young guys etc. Everyone's really lovely.

Only managed two raids yesterday (had kids with me) and didn't catch the cresselia. I try not to get too fussed about 5* raids but I am so going for it with kyogre next week.

Is it very wrong to plan a day out with the kids tomorrow with the intention of going somewhere new to spin stops with a lucky egg on...?

Kpo58 · 06/06/2019 19:43

Pokestops submissions are now available in Germany!

BaronessBomburst · 06/06/2019 21:31

Submissions?
We just get the Ingress players to submit new portals here.
We've got 14 in our little village alone, although none I can reach from the sofa. Mr 40x11 tried to get one for us but it was rejected. Sad

BaronessBomburst · 06/06/2019 21:35

And absolutely not JuniLoolaPalooza! We have the same plan for Tuesday afternoon. I've already identified the town we're headed to. I was there last week but the event had already been announced so I put my phone away and left all the stops alone......... It was hard!

First ever shiny hatch!

Checking into the new thread. I’m on holiday at the moment and gifts seems to be a little sparse here so I haven’t been able to send as many as usual. The 4x candy is great as I needed about 30 to evolve a Grimer for field research and 22.5km is much more palatable than 90km!

TinselAngel · 06/06/2019 22:32

I still need 60 odd candy to evolve my buddy Tangela Confused

Blueroses99 · 06/06/2019 22:38

I forgot about Tangela, I need 84 candy to evolve!

MrsJamin · 07/06/2019 06:39

@tumpymummy you do it whenever. Again in Saturday I find myself having to be stationary nowhere near a pokestop, I'd have really liked a few more slakoths. I have one Slaking but I leave him in gyms all the time, it'd be nice to have a backup!

BaronessBomburst · 07/06/2019 08:18

Apparently the Adventure Sync challenge to walk 50km for 15 rare candies and 50,000 stardust has been extended to apply to next week as well!
I'm so pleased. DS and I have been trying to do it and it's as glitchy as hell. I walked 6km one evening; my android recorded 4.5 km and DS iOS clocked up 1.5. Confused Still hatched eggs though.
It also randomly wipes km off for no apparent reason. We've both had our phones lose more than 2km as we've watched.
The distance itself isn't the problem, it's finding the time to do it. Work, kids and a house and garden to run are all pretty time-consuming.

Ihatesundays · 07/06/2019 09:16

Mine records half the distance of my Fitbit. It’s infuriating.

Soubriquet · 07/06/2019 09:41

I don’t think that igglybuff is a shiny...it’s a fairy type so has the sparkles anyway

Soubriquet · 07/06/2019 09:42

No, you’re right. It doesn’t look much different though does it? Confused

I wish they would have a way of recording cycling instead of walking, not at the same distance but maybe at a quarter of the distance cycled. At this time of the year (and with a brand new Sustrans track running past the house) we are much more likely to go for a cycle than a walk during the weekend.

tumpymummy · 07/06/2019 11:40

@witchsharkadder are you still up for cordinegging this eve at 8.45pm? Or would you prefer to wait until 3pm tomorrow? (I don't mind!)

tumpymummy · 07/06/2019 11:40

I'm podsy68 by the way!

murree · 07/06/2019 12:43

Hi all,
Mind if I join? Just started playing last week and OMG I'm addicted lol.
Only found out today however that I need to download and use google fit to be able to use the adventure sync Confused - oh well still learning as I go along!

BaronessBomburst · 07/06/2019 13:14

Cycling works as long as you go really, really slowly.
Which is bloody tedious.

MrsJamin · 07/06/2019 13:46

I find if I select 'walk' on google fit I can get away with scooting but not fast scooting. I normally get a higher amount of km if I track on google fit rather than Pokemon Go itself.

tumpymummy · 07/06/2019 13:49

I'm actually lucky in that where I live there are lots of max 20mph speed limit roads, and traffic can be slow/bad so I often clock up extra km when I'm driving. Also at home the GPS signal can be weird in the evening so often my avatar goes walk about. I walked 3km whilst sat on the sofa last night! I think it's also my old Samsung phone. I'm due an upgrade soon so will miss those extra 'walks!

funnelfanjo · 07/06/2019 15:12

My Apple Watch seems to interpret my crocheting as activity. Thanks to Adventure Sync I rack up loads more km sitting on the sofa than I do when out at exercise classes!
