Is there? I've been busy last couple weeks and not been keeping up, could i have an update please?

Caught 2 magikarps in the last 30 min, none of them shiny. I need the candy though if I want to evolve a red gyrados. I've been ignoring them for many months.

Debating whether or not to tell dd1 about shiny Pokémon - not sure I want to spend the next week chasing magikarp!

Are the shinies just for the event?

Can you tell if it is a shiny on the radar or does it display as a normal magikarp? I see magikarps all the time, but I can't dash out for every single sighting of them, just on the off chance.

Done an 8 mile riverside walk today. Caught 30 magikarp, no shiney ones at all.

No shiney Magikarp here, although I have caught a few regular ones. Given the frequency, and that fact that I haven't seen a single one today, I think they're replacing Swinub.

I like my new Magikarp hat although I keep thinking there are Magikarp nearby when it's actually my hat!

Does anyone use battery packs? Any recommendations? My phone battery never lasts a long poke walk

I have this battery pack, which is great -- gives me about two full charges. DS has just been given this one for his birthday, which is gorgeous and has sockets to charge two phones at a time, but we've not had a chance to use it yet.

Yes, I also keep thinking there's a magikarp close by and it's my hat!

I have 450 Magikarp candies and decided not to evolve last session with lucky egg. Now will hold out for a shiny one.

Have seen 2 omanytes as part of the event. Love my hat but look at that menacing sod following me.

Also remember to use one of the yellow berries when catching Magikarps as it increases the number of candies. Every little helps.

Doing well so far today - Octillery, Mantine and two Remoraids, all without leaving the house. Perks of living by a river!

Ds1 and I each have the 10,000mAH anker battery pack. Perfect for a day out hunting.

I only had one Scyther and I was walking it anyway but just hatched another from a 5k egg!

Now only need 10 candies to evolve and I have a metal coat already waiting!

I've got hardly any pokeballs and there's an event- eek! Oh well, got to go to town tomorrow so I can stock up then.

I've been mostly hatching eggs as I've taken on an allotment a couple of miles away, so I'm getting a lot of walking in! Hatched a gligar today which is a bit rubbish, but I've got 3 more 10k eggs- the most I've had at one go.

I hatched a sodding Psyduck yesterday.

But I did get a metal coat at a random Pokestop last night, so have started walking my Onix as I only need 3 candies to evolve.
