Not mine, but someone local caught a shiny Magikarp last night:

I got a Sun Stone yesterday (Thursday) when my day 7 is a Sunday.

I got a metal coat from the same pokestop two evenings on the trot - interestingly it is a stop I pass by most days, and I haven't picked one up there in the day.

I got another metal coat in my 7 day streak today. And I've also picked up a kings rock somewhere in my travels but I'm not sure when and where as my journal doesn't go back far enough!

So I've now got a sunstone, 3 metal coats, a kings rock and 2 dragonscales.

I'm also only a couple of magikarp catches away from evolving finally!

We finally evolved a Kadabra and caught a Totodile!

read that someone caught a shiny and it turned into a normal Ditto.

If that happens to ds he'll cry and I might too.
I haven't got a single pinap berry today despite turning loads of pokestops. I could really do with some.

There are people on my local Pokemon Go group saying that you get special items by spinning the same pokestop at the same time on consecutive days.

I don't have a fixed schedule which allows me to try the theory though.

That's been largely debunked by the Silph Road posters, Tinfoil.

I only had about 20 minutes 'Moning todayand caught 5 Magikarp and 3 Squirtle, the best daily tally for me ever of those particular Pokemon. Also hatched a Phanpy which is new to my 'Dex. Quite chuffed about that.

On Wednesday I got a Sunstone on my 6 day streak. Thursday I got no special item for my 7 day streak.

My first pokestop of the day is usually the one nearest the house on the school run, so I will get it in a fairly consistent window between 8.50 and 9.00 on weekdays. Other than the week where gen2 was launched, all my special items have only come from the 7 day streak.

I have spun numerous pokestops since gen 2 and only ever received one evolve item. I am in central London and pass numerous stops, as well as having a couple I can spin every 10 minutes.

The only evolve item I got was on day 7 of a streak but this never happened again.

We've only ever seen 2 Porygon and we've been playing since the beginning. I've got the upgrade but can't use it either. Hoping to catch last couple of Omanytes today so I can plug another hole in the gen 1 dex.

Is anyone else hoarding candie just in case there's a double xp event? I can store 1000 pokemon and I have enough for about 150 eveelutions, I am up to about 630 in my storage. I am going to evolve one chunk under a lucky egg if I run out of storage but hold onto the rest just in case.

I wish there was a better way of storing multiple 'mon, like a folder for pidgeys.

Best poke day ever. Got a ton of magikarps as we walked round the lake, now have evolved my first gyardios (sp?) - been playing since Jan. On the same walk I hatched a dratini from a 10 K, which gave me the last 30 odd candies I needed for my first dragonite. And also hatched a ponyta from a 5 k which gave me my first rapidash (always been a favourite mon).

Annoyingly, to get my dragonite I evolved the dragonaire I was buddying. Didn't realise that this would reset his buddy-candy distance, and lost nearly 5 k of walking towards a candy, grr. Oh well.

Sort of. Shiny looked normal when I first saw it. However I knew it was a shiny before bagging it. Must have been after I tapped it because I knew to use an ultraball and raspberry.

Finally evolved my Omanyte, hurrah! Just 4 candies needed to evolve my Grimer, then I have to walk my Kabuta. I'll have gen 1 then, bar a Snorlax.

7 day streak today and I got the metal coat I've been needing to evolve a Steelix! Very happy, although still no golden flappy fish.

Went out hunting and spinning for the first time since Wednesday and picked up another up-grade. Not quite sure what I'd be doing with another up-grade.

DS1 is grumbling that, despite the event, he still hasn't even seen a Lapras in sightings. I've told him that he'll probably get his Lapras when I get my snorlax. I do actually have a Lapras I caught in the wild that I've kept for him, but from what I've been reading about the ideas for trading, it's going to end up like Ingress events which seem to consist mostly of meet ups in California and somewhere in China.

I've caught two wild Lapras, both is supermarket carparks weirdly, in different towns.

My wild one was behind a multistorey carpark!

How weird, that's obviously their thing!
