The cheese was all ordered from La Fauxmagerie:
I Am Nut OK Minerthreat and Nerominded
Strictly Roots Smoked Farmhouse
Honestly Tasty Gorgonzola

Unfortunately the Shamembert was all sold out and I was so excited by it but they were all delish - surprisingly especially the Gorgonzola because I never used to be a Gorgonzola fan but I do miss blue cheese so it was a lovely treat

Yesterday was:
L: shroomdog sandwiches and salad
S: olive bread
D: raw Chinese salad with noodles

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 04/01/2021 11:24

B: muesli with soya milk, raspberries and seeds. Panettone toast
L: crackers with nut cheese (blue mountain and a garlic/herb one), olives, red cabbage slaw, 2 mini vine leaves
D: pasta with some roasted med veg from the freezer with a hm tomato and spinach sauce and nooch
S: mince pie, last of the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream

Thanks for the review! I am definitely going to buy some of the Miner Threat and I am intrigued by the gorgonzola too - I also miss blue cheese sometimes.

Today:
B: Hummus and tomato sandwich
L: Some more spiced veg soup; unfortunately I ate all the roasted chickpeas yesterday so it was crouton-less
D: HUGE bowl of linguine aglio et olio with a green salad on the side.

Last night I chose a bar of Vivani White Nougat Crisp from a rapidly depleting vegan snack box I was given for Christmas - it was really nice. Not mind blowing, but miles nicer than all the other vegan white chocolate I've tried.

ZaraTheWonderDog · 04/01/2021 18:16

I agree @Electrocute1980 - I'm so nosy, I love seeing what everyone else is eating! I fear my own diet will be rather boring and repetitive in comparison but it's useful to keep track.

ElfAndSafetyInspector · 04/01/2021 21:04

B: vegan croissant
L: no-egg sandwich & fruit
D: roast potato curry, cauli & pea curry, rice

I got mine there too! I was so gutted that the shamembert was sold out. I had the same ones as you but instead of the smoked farmhouse I had a garlic and herb one. I liked all of them except the Nerominded which was a bit too sharp. The Gorgonzola was amazing.
IJumpedAboardAPirateShip · 04/01/2021 23:19

That’s awesome @ElfAndSafetyInspector and I fly back on weds and haven’t been able to get hold of the shamembert!! 😫

@ZaraTheWonderDog I love seeing everyone’s food regardless!

Today:
L: mum made a roast black bean, various veggies, avocado and chilli dish with noodles
S: sausage rolls, panetonne, an orange
D: fried up some mushrooms and tofu with chipotle in adobo
S: last of the booja booja chocolates

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 05/01/2021 10:20

I also love reading what everyone else eats! And I use it to keep track for myself too. The word suggestions on my phone show my biggest repetitions 😂

B: porridge with raspberries, seeds and golden syrup
L: butternut mulligatawny
D: Dahl, aubergine and tomato curry, cumin roasted cauliflower and butternut with broccoli, rice and small piece of naan
S: M&S jelly fruits, salt and pepper cashews, slice of Christmas cake (first attempt at a vegan one - flavour is good, but consistency isn't right as it's VERY moist and almost more like a pudding than a cake. Fed as directed, but feels like i over fed it)

B overnight oats and banana
L home made lentil soup with toast and natruli
D leek chickpea and potato pie
Snacks dark choc, aldi crackers
After yesterday's announcement from nicola I gorged on a shop bought Bosh choc cake, very dry and not tasty x

Kobanidaughters · 05/01/2021 20:10

NC because it had been a few years! It’s I Jumped Aboard A Pirate Shop here, back to California tomorrow Sad

L: tofish, broccoli and mashed sweet potato
S: last of the sausage rolls
D: a Cook! Mushroom bolognese

ZaraTheWonderDog · 05/01/2021 20:33

Hope you have a safe journey @Kobanidaughters

B: Sourdough toast with Naturli
L: Mushroom and spinach orzo
D: chilli (soy mince, haricot beans, black beans, roasted peppers), rice, cherry tomato salsa and guacamole
Snacks: half a choc chip flapjack bar and weird tiny choc-covered shreddies from xmas vegan snack box. Wouldn't eat the shreddies again. Couple of squares Mackie's dark choc I found in baking drawer.

ElfAndSafetyInspector · 05/01/2021 20:53

Safe travels Kobani

B: Pancakes
L: vegan ham and beetroot sandwich
D: rice bowl with sweet potato, kale, smoked tofu, sweetcorn and tahini sauce

Just contemplating a slice of Christmas cake. Mine had the same problem as yours PartTimeDomesticGoddess and I only fed it a tiny bit. Which recipe did you use? I used the BBC Good Food one and it has come out definitely wet and puddingy. I cooked it longer than recommended too!

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 05/01/2021 20:59

Safe travels @Kobanidaughters

@ElfAndSafetyInspector I did the same one as you, good to know it wasn't just me. I think I'm going to try this one next (and definitely not waiting until next Christmas Grin) domesticgothess.com/blog/2018/11/10/vegan-christmas-cake/

Snacks: Trek 'cocoa chaos' bar from snack box (ok), couple squares of dark choc Mackies, couple slices Tyne Chease (dill flavour), about 5 satsumas, crusts from daughter's sandwich.

Electrocute1980 · 07/01/2021 12:21

Yesterday

Breakfast- porridge with oatmilk and a seed/dried blueberry/goji berry mix I got from asda - so nice

Lunch - sandwich - granary bread, houmous, grated carrot, rocket and beetroot- new favourite 🤩

Dinner - random dinner of This isn’t chicken pieces, homemade chips and various veggies from the freezer - with a side of Chinese curry sauce

Kobanidaughters · 07/01/2021 16:12

Travel day yesterday!
L: miso soup and veggie dumplings from itsu
D: itsu tofu veg and rice bento box (was delicious!)
S on plane: 2 Lara bars, half a marmite sandwich and some dried mango
D (on LA time!): fried Japanese rice before bed

DH and DS have both agreed to do Veganuary! So excited - and am now attempting booze free for 6 months....

ZaraTheWonderDog · 07/01/2021 19:55

That's brilliant about Veganuary @Kobanidaughters ! Do you think they might stick with it after? Even if not, it's great to have them on board for a month. The rest of my family (husband and two daughters) are vegetarian and I'd love it if they went vegan eventually.

And well done on the booze free plans. I'm at least not going to drink in January but after that who knows. I was 'aff it' (as we say in Glasgow) for a couple of years but then there was lockdown and I discovered vegan Malbec.

Today was not an inspiring food day:
B: sourdough toast and Naturli
L: leftover linguine aglio et olio from fridge
D: leftover tofu from last night, spicy 'holiday potatoes' (basically diced pan fried potatoes that we always seem to eat when we are on self-catering holidays), token veg: brocolli and corn on the cob. We need to go food shopping.

S: finally made it to the bottom of the snack box. Half a cacao bar (the rest went in the bin, sadly).

ElfAndSafetyInspector · 07/01/2021 20:48

B: banana
L: M&S New York-style no-salt-beef pretzel roll (good, although the roll was pretty dense)
D: spaghetti bolognaise, slice of Christmas pudding-cake with La Fauxmagerie brandy butter

CorianderBee · 07/01/2021 20:50

Breakfast - baked beans on rye with pickled cucumbers

Lunch - lentil and mixed bean salad with pickled cabbage, hummus and pitta

Dinner - miso tofu with pack Choi and mushroom rice mmmm which my partner cooked

Snacks - tea, coffee with oat milk, slice of sourdough with butter and fig jam.

CorianderBee · 07/01/2021 20:50

Vitalite'butter' that is

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 07/01/2021 22:06

@Kobanidaughters I LOVE everything I've ever had from itsu (although I don't love the packaging on their supermarket products). And brilliant to hear your DH and DS are going to do veganuary. Do you think they'll try things that they might not otherwise? DD14 wants to try pretty much all of my vegan food now, which is great. My DH will try most things, but cheese is his issue...
@ZaraTheWonderDog sounds like you had a sixth sense about the cacao bar to leave it to the last?
@ElfAndSafetyInspector ooh at the sound of the brandy butter. Is it good?
@CorianderBee mmm at the sound of your dinner

B: oats in soya milk with soya yogurt, raspberries and seeds
L: leftover Dahl with roasted cauliflower, piece of naan bread, pineapple and 2 satsumas
D: veg crumble - carrot/celery/sweet potato/small qty of red lentils/chickpeas/cherry tomatoes cooked in stock with some rose harissa and a couple of handfuls of spinach topped with a nutty (not sweet) crumble. I did it in two dishes and DH/DD14 had grated cheese on theirs, for me and DD17 I mixed a bit of nooch and some grated violife in. DH and the DDs were all highly sceptical, but it all got eaten Grin

OP posts:
Kobanidaughters · 07/01/2021 22:11

@PartTimeDomesticGoddess and @ZaraTheWonderDog I wonder if DS will eventually go vegan, he's excited to do Veganuary. I don't think my DH ever would, we talk about it a lot and he's happy to eat vegan the vast majority of the time (and has to because I do the bulk of the cooking) but his huge reduction is good at least.

DS likes all food really so he's easy and never thinks to ask for animal products unless his dad or sister do.

DD is another story completely, unfortunately

Kobanidaughters · 08/01/2021 04:11

L: black bean chipotle spread, grated carrot and lettuce in a wrap
S: orange
D: spag Bol and green beans
