Afternoon everyone,

Forest Holidays are a firm favourite on Mumsnet thanks to their selection of tranquil, family-focused UK breaks set deep in woodlands, on the edge of splendid lochs, or in bright forest clearings.

Plus, there's also an exclusive 10% discount for Mumsnetters - just enter the code MUMSNET at checkout when you book, in case you didn't know.

This summer, Forest Holidays are giving one lucky Mumsnetter the chance to win a £400 voucher to put toward their own UK escape.

To be in with a chance of winning, just take a look at the Forest Holidays website, then post on this thread what you think would be the best part of a Forest Holidays break. Whether you like the idea of a family bike ride through the woods or would love the chance to immerse yourself in a private hot tub the beauty of nature, just let us know for your chance to win.

Winners will be picked at random on 31 May 2019, good luck!

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

We've got 4 boys so anything that keeps them occupied (and exhausts them) is a plus for us. Generally getting them away from screens and into the fresh air is a good thing!

Jenjii · 08/05/2019 18:17

My two boys would be blown away by a treehouse!

Mummymuls · 08/05/2019 18:20

Quality family time where we can just enjoy each other and nature.... as well as a hottub!

Nameusernameuser · 08/05/2019 18:22

The hot tubs look amazing as do the treehouses. I always look on this website to see if they have any cheapy last minute holidays because we are skint Grin I know lots of people that have stayed in various places and loved it. DS loves the outdoors, this would be an amazing holiday!

ArgusFilchsCat · 08/05/2019 18:25

Tree house, hot tub and horse riding. DDs fave hol summed up right there! Smile

Partylikeits20199 · 08/05/2019 18:26

Getting out of the city!

Yogagirl123 · 08/05/2019 18:26

Hot tubs are a highlight for my family. Never book UK accommodation without a hot tub, makes the holiday for us.

StreetDreams · 08/05/2019 18:32

Oh my goodness, the best thing is that they have one at Beddgelert in beautiful Snowdonia! I stayed in nearby Betwys y Coed for a summer as a small child and always wanted to go back. DP took me to Beddgelert for a surprise weekend when we were first seeing each other but I was taken ill and we had to come home early. Twenty years on, it would be lovely to try again!

purpleclaire · 08/05/2019 18:37

There's so much that looks amazing - all that outdoor time together - woodland walks, cycling trips, bbqs and a hot tub. Topped off by the treat of staying in a luxury cabin - sounds fantastic!

Kateshairenvy · 08/05/2019 18:42

It would have to be quiet time together as a family. Life is so busy, that this is what holidays are about for us. Possibly also the glasses of bubbly in the hot tub once the kids are in bed Grin

NeverTwerkNaked · 08/05/2019 18:44

I love the sound of the activities - Go ape/ canoeing /SUP etc. We love active holidays!

Sparkles07 · 08/05/2019 18:49

I have always wanted a hot tub holiday! I think I'd stay in there all week!

winecigsandchoc · 08/05/2019 18:54

Aww my kids would love the mini forest rangers! It sounds like exactly what they enjoy doing! Having a proper look around the website it looks like a lovely family holiday choice.

Kleptronic · 08/05/2019 18:55

Well for me it would be that we can take the puppers with us, all round the beautiful countryside. No dogs no holiday.

Elllicam · 08/05/2019 18:58

Definitely the tree house! My kids would love it.

WhoAreThey · 08/05/2019 19:03

We went to forest holidays for our honeymoon and it was so lovely, I’d love to take my children this time and share it with them this time! They’d love the treehouse

Pindlesandneedles · 08/05/2019 19:08

I would love watching the wonder in my children’s eyes as they wake up in the morning and can go straight outside into nature. I love how they find complete wonder in the smallest things! I also wouldn’t mind the hot tub Grin!!

m0jit0 · 08/05/2019 19:11

Our little one loves being outside so this would be perfect for her!

CusheyButterfield · 08/05/2019 19:12

The opportunity to go for walks as a family, in a really beautiful place. Oh, and the hot tubs look good too!

crosspelican · 08/05/2019 19:20

Ohhh! Archery 🏹 followed by a picnic by the river - that would be wonderful and something that all four of us would really enjoy. The cabins look fabulous too!

imsorryiasked · 08/05/2019 19:26

Cycling through the forest and then relaxing while listening to the birdsong.

MeOnSea · 08/05/2019 19:26

With life being very hectic right now, I’d love some peace and tranquility and the simple sensory pleasures of getting back to nature. I’d love to introduce my daughter to the pleasure of dipping toes in a stream, something I did as a kid visiting my gran in rural west wales. And spending some precious time all together.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 08/05/2019 19:26

I would d love to go for an autumn walk, crunching through leaves, looking for mushrooms, heaven.

ifigoup · 08/05/2019 19:27

Hot tub, definitely. I luff them. But also just chilling somewhere nice and green, with lots of space and gentle hills for DC to balance bike on.

AVT5 · 08/05/2019 19:29

The hot tub and walks in the forest! It's our favorite place!
