Absolutely love the sound of a Ranger guided walk - how absolutely amazing. The knowledge combined with the fresh air and woodland discoveries would be fantastic.
Hot tub once the kids are in bed would be a nice way to reconnect with the other half!

Toopoorforlife · 17/05/2019 21:31

The idea of taking a break from life to be with nature in a calm and peaceful environment with things to keep the kids happy. I would love to win something like this, looks fab!

NellaBonella · 17/05/2019 21:36

Definitely hearing the phesants walking around at night, in the dark, in the hot tub.
Such a serene, surreal feeling as if there's no one else in the world except for you.
Keldy is my absolute favorite place ever!

We take day trips or weekends in the Argyll area three or four times a year, but making our next visit with Forest Holidays would add so much to our experience. Usually we're tearing about from hotel or cottage to forest or walk or visitor attraction, but staying with Forest Holidays would mean a different pace, and a lot more time to just be.

I can imagine looking up at the stars every evening (from a hot tub, no less!) and stepping out into fresh air to sit on the deck with a coffee every morning, much better than rounding everyone up for a disappointing hotel breakfast or struggling to find teaspoons in an unfamiliar kitchen.

The bike rides, the hot tub, the peace but mainly some time with my teens. Daughter leaves for uni in a few months a break together before she goes would be fab

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 18/05/2019 18:30

We had a short break at Deerpark before the kids were born. The hot tub was great, but the peace and quiet with no wi-fi or phone signal was bliss! Not sure it would be quite so peaceful with our toddler in tow, but it would be fun to check out the kids activities with the forest ranger.

Noonemournsthewicked · 18/05/2019 18:43

I'd love a romantic hot tub break. On a Scottish Loch if possible.
Blaming pmt here but id love to treat my DW for our upcoming 10 year anniversary. We joke that we play life on hard mode but this really would be something special.
Additionally (again blame pmt) it damn near bought a tear to my eye to see two women under the title 'romantic hot tub breaks'. World had been feeling pretty hostile lately and that was unexpected.

tangledyarn · 18/05/2019 22:38

The hot tub, some kayaking. Just relaxing in a nice peaceful place with lots of nature right on the doorstep would be fabulous for us!

Averyimportantperson · 19/05/2019 07:35

Being amongst the trees and nature as we live in a city. Looks so calm and relaxing.

SmallBee · 19/05/2019 07:42

I keep looking at forest Holidays, it does seem like a lot of fun!
I think what I'd enjoy the most is just immersing the kids in nature, fishing for sticklebacks before a summer BBQ sounds idyllic and so peaceful.

Takingabreakagain · 19/05/2019 07:47

The best thing would be that we could take our dogs on holiday with us. It makes a change to be able to stay somewhere that they are welcomed. They, and us, would really enjoy the walks in such lovely areas.

purplepandas · 19/05/2019 07:49

Just being outside in nature, it's a happy place thing for me. The treehouses would be loved too.

Sazquatch · 19/05/2019 07:52

For me the highlight would be just benign absolutely lazy, taking in the views from the hot tub.

Fairylea · 19/05/2019 07:54

We love being outdoors so for us it would be having a break in a forest-y environment. Dd aged 6 who has autism would love it. He hates crowded places and just wants to be outside as much as possible.

lostlalaloopsy · 19/05/2019 07:56

Wow these look fantastic! My dc would love the Forest Survival skills training, they are always up for an adventure! Building your own den would be music to their ears! And we would all love the hot tub!

EvilHerbivore · 19/05/2019 08:02

The treehouse 100% absolutely! DSs would loooove that!

Yogagirl123 · 19/05/2019 08:03

Getting our boys away from their tech for a digital detox, a dip in a hot tub would be the icing on the cake!

NotPennysBoat · 19/05/2019 08:08

As a family, we'd love to go on a bike ride somewhere that we don't have to worry about traffic!
And for DH & I - some fizz in the hot tub once the kids are in bed (sleeping soundly thanks to said bike ride!).

pinknsparkly · 19/05/2019 08:08

For kids, the freedom to be able to freely wander in and out of the cabins would be amazing. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that they also have cabins for wheelchair users! I have older family members with mobility issues and thought that this type of holiday was no longer possible but it looks like it could be!!

Osquito · 19/05/2019 08:15

I think DP would be itching to go fish, DSD would spend everyday in a hot tub, DS would run wild (he’d love Go Ape) and I’d especially like a location that offered sailing/kayaking/boating... there are so many activities, that’s definitely its biggest appeal to us.

Epictantrum · 19/05/2019 08:16

i like being able to take the whole family including the dog. The dog's little face peering over the edge of the hot tub wondering what's going on is priceless.

Dogsandbabies · 19/05/2019 08:18

Very hard to pick!! Somewhere between fishing and kayaking!

HotChocolateLover · 19/05/2019 08:19

I love the idea of a family bike ride followed by a private hot tub. Sounds heavenly!

SheStoodInTheStorm · 19/05/2019 08:19

Staying in a Golden Oak cabin would be such a treat for us, my daughter would think it was magical. Spending quality time together making memories as a family is so important, particularly with current health issues x

sparkleandsleep · 19/05/2019 08:27

For me it's spending quality time with the family and relaxing in the hot tub in the evening.
