You are most welcome to this school staff support thread to get us through stressful times. It is meant for school staff only – a sort of room of requirement for school staff to let off steam.

Baiters, haters, goaders, and bashers can jog on somewhere else.

If you are NOT staff and just have a general education query please start your own thread.

Do not give the staffroom password to non-staff as it attracts the wrong sort of crowd.

Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation.

You can sit on chairs but keep the windows open. You don’t have to upload LFT results during the holidays. You do not have to wear mask - free choice

Can I join the holiday club now as I don't fancy school next week...

Checking in. Broke up Friday and enjoyed a delightful day out yesterday even in the heat. Forgot how it feels to not have weekend dread.

For those that are breaking up on Thursday, did you have longer than us at Easter? I am just wondering where the days have come from. I know 2 of the days are training days for us.

2 PM me with your profile name. If you’ve NC’d on MN in the last few months please give previous name(s) so I can be sure of your fidelity to the Republic. (Oo am channelling Robespierre or possibly Lenin 🇫🇷)

3 I can then invite you to the group chat I’ve created. We should ONLY use this for meet-related discussion, otherwise it’ll become yet another SM thing to check, won’t it?! And detract from The Republic.

Skype doesn't require sharing your phone number which people might be more comfortable with than WhatsApp, which does.

We had 2 weeks at Easter (2nd-19th). I know my school scatters training so tends to go right to the end of the term. 5 more days for me!

Have discovered potential flaw in this plan, sorry - Skype allows multiple users with the same user name (). So please create or change yours to something identifiable, or tell me your location as that obvs narrows it down.

Apparently Boris originally intended to make this great Churchillian speech from the War Rooms or similar but had to shelve that idea because the rates are so worrying (hmm) AND he now would have to do it by zoom from Chequers anyway.....
